alice couldn't help but scoff at the nickname. "so i'm junior now? what are you, my divorced dad who doesn't pay child support?" she didn't want to owe butcher. she knew what his favors usually entailed, and she almost never wanted anything to do with those. "i don't think that's how this is gonna work." that might work when he was dealing with frenchie, or someone he could steamroll, but alice picked her battles and she was picking this one. "i'll pay you, that work for you? cause i don't want you coming around, knocking on my door and asking if i can hack into the fbi for you or something."

she'd never felt someone so hot, and that really was saying something. to alice, nearly everything was too warm and hot things could easily be scalding. she knew it came from having a lower body temperature than what was normal. her skin was the same as everyone else's, but the physical sensation of touching something, or in this case someone, hot could be excruciating. she hadn't meant to touch the other woman, but even just in passing, she'd had to pull her hand away after yelping in pain. after careful observation, she wasn't technically burnt, the place the two had made contact just stung like crazy. "it's fine," alice assured her, not looking up from the top of her hand where they'd touched. "no hard feelings, i'm just sensitive."
