Anime may or may not be interesting to you for liveblogging, but either way I highly recommend Odd Taxi! It's a fully self-contained one season story with plenty of fun foreshadowing for Detail Noticers to hone in on, a fascinating semi-ensemble cast, and while plenty of dark things happen it's a lot lighter than Umineko lol

Sorry, I think I mentioned it before but I have a zero furry stories policy here. This includes shows like BoJack and Aggretsuko. No anthro please. This is just a hard line for me for personal reasons

still on the last couple eps, but so far retsuko is more removed from reality this season, which isn’t too weird given she dated a billionaire last season, but it does mean she and the show lose a level of relatability, so that’s been all dumped on the supporting characters. That’s fine and they don’t have to stay down to earth forever, I just know this isn’t going to become a show about a traveling pop idol so it’s like what’s this whole thing gonna mean for retsuko

on top of that, it started out talking about the terror of debt and capitalism, but if the band gets successful this quickly then it’s like ‘wow it’s shockingly easy to get out of debt, and also super rewarding because retsuko gets to live her best life’

I think it’s okay to take a break from the office, even if I miss Tsunoda and Kabae, I just don’t know where the show’s gonna go if it’s dropping all discussion of struggling under capitalism and Retsuko’s just gonna have this thing where she was/is in a popular band for a while and her whole draw originally was that she’s just going through it

I may have said this before but I'm not even joking ever since S1 I thought the best twist endgame OTP would be Retsuko and the Karaoke baboon.

Breaks up with her major love interest in the final season and goes there alone, strikes up an actual conversation for the first time and they realize like instantly they're perfect for each other
