When I’m having one of those really beautiful moments (as Arthur Shappey would put it “blissfully happy with the love of your life in the moonlight”) and I’m like really present and grounded in the sensory experience of it and just so grateful to be sharing it with someone who I have such a powerful connection with. I guess I can be more specific and say my spouse and I went to see a jazz quartet concert on a hotel roof near the bay and it was so, so lovely. I felt absolutely blissed out.

Singing! It feels physically good to sing very loud to a song you love, and it turns my mood around rapidly. In fact, I developed so pronounced a habit of singing when I was anxious that I accidentally trained my cat to come check on me when I started to sing. Or maybe she just liked my voice 😻

Making things is one of life’s purest pleasures! Food, art, stories. Such a delight. It’s like. Humanizing or something. Makes me feel more in touch with the world and more in touch with myself.

This sounds a bit phony and influencery but like. When you have a wash and gently pat dry your clean skin and then gently smooth moisturizer all over yourself. Wow. What a pleasure. And so accessible too! All you need is a bath, a towel, and some lotion and you’re sitting pretty.

my tattoos. I only have two at the moment, and I DO want more but I really took my time over the ones I have, thinking carefully about them and how to visually represent the concepts I wanted to express and what artist I wanted to work with, and they’re so beautiful and they just feel like. I uncovered this beautiful, sacred part of myself that was always there and just needed to be burnished into visibility (kinda like the glorious void where my gender might have been iykyk)

Incorrect Witcher

I have seen at least two different posts giving Jaskier Arthur’s “Cup” routine from Cabin Pressure: St Petersburg (the “Nice hot cup of coffee, ” “It’s cold”, “Nice cup of coffee,” etc one).

Which made me think about the Sunshiney One as Arthur Shappey.

And of course, “This is brilliant,” (Ep 4) is an Arthur-y statement if there ever was one.

So I offer:

Geralt: Does it make you happy, though?

Yennefer: Well, no one’s truly happy.

Jaskier: I’m truly happy!

Yennefer: No, Jaskier. You are cheery. No one wants to know the secret to true cheeriness.

Jaskier: But no. I’m fairly often just completely happy. Like when you get into a bath quickly and it’s just the right temperature and you go “oooh”. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Geralt: What a depressing thought.

Jaskier: But it’s not, though! You’re almost never blissfully happy with the love of your life in the moonlight. And when you are you’re scared of it ending. But the bath moments!? There’s loads of those!
