Why Freddy Is A Child Killer And Nothing More.
SO! I am fucking sick and tired of seeing this shit over and over again so I think it is high time I make a post addressing this formally. Freddy Krueger is not a pedophile, child molester, kiddy toucher, or whatever the fuck you want to call it.
You might be saying “Well Bex! I heard that originally Wes Craven-” Yup. Originally Wes Craven played around with the idea of it but it was cut early on and did not make it into the final script and nothing pertaining to that was ever shot either.
Next you might say, “Oh but what about the 2010 remake? He was totally a fucking pedo in that!”
You are right in the 2010 remake he was! Okay. So. I am gonna say this next part loudly and clearly.
Fuck the 2010 remake.
Wes Craven has literally nothing to do with it. In fact they did not consult Wes on the remake at all and he expressed his displeasure over that fact as well! The remake is not fucking canon to me and many others due to that fact alone. The vast, vast majority of people you see on here, myself included, who love Freddy are talking about the OG 80s and New Nightmare Freddy played by Robert Englund.
Speaking of Robert Englund! He is very important to this conversation. Now why is that? Because he played the character for twenty years? Yes I think that does give him a good amount of say in this conversation. But more than that he literally made the character who is. After A Nightmare On Elm Street back in 1984, the first one, Robert asked for more money and better billing when ANOES 2 was going to happen, the studio said fuck that, the makeup is the most important part! And they recast him!
They got two weeks into shooting before they realized how hard they fucked up and asked for Robert back, meeting his originally, extremely fair, especially considering his role, demands.
Freddy is not just saying bitch, it is not corny one liners and it is NOT just make up, there is a fuck ton more to him, there is depth and Robert? Clearly understands that to the point that the studio agreed no one else could play him in the original franchise’s run. So I think we can agree what Robert thinks about Freddy is clearly important, leading to my next point.
As for what Robert actually has to say on the matter, and I quote from this article published on Bloody Disgusting in 2015 of what he said when asked for his thoughts on this by some fans at comic con.
“You can imagine Freddy to be anything you want,” Englund began. “My theory is the word “child killer”, there’s something darkly…darkly poetic about that. It’s a very frightening phrase. Child killer! That should be enough. And I think there’s something symbolic about being a child killer. He kills children because children are their future and there’s no place for Freddy in the future. And it’s revenge on the parents! It’s the most painful thing a parent can do is to lose a child before they die. I mean, I can’t imagine how anybody…how any adults or parents survive that, the death of a child. So that’s nasty enough!”
I mean that says it all to me. He has been asked on many occasions and I have seen him even refer to the idea of Freddy being a molester as “gilding the lily” basically, it is wholly unnecessary like a hat on a hat. Freddy being a child killer is enough. Wes thought so. Robert thinks so too.
And for me? That is more than enough. I hope this clears up shit for a lot of people.

I really don't want to be a prude and have a say of what you can't and can write but the grabber actually s/a all his victims. Not only that they were children.I get why you find him hot lmao cause I did too but I think it's a little disrespectful when you write a scenario based on something that's actually disturbing but nonetheless I love your writing (:
Well this is a super gross ask and I'll tell you exactly why.
CSA, abuse and incest mention.
So the author of the original short story didn't write him that way. Nothing in the text of the movie says that. Like the kids are very explicit about what the Grabber or Al, does to them. If he did do that, why wouldn't they warn Finn? Why not go all out and spill every detail? They are dead. They hate him. Have no loyalty to him. Why would they exclude that part of what he does?
You are saying this based off the director interview right? I don't care honestly. The author didn't write it like that, the movie had no clues or even illusions to that either. To take the credit without the talent, effort or tact or honestly, balls, to have it in the explicit text of the movie feels fucking weak and lame and disgusting.
Why do we have to go that far all the time? Is him being a kidnapper and child murderer not enough? Are you that desensitized to violence and horror? That it's only scary if he's a pedophile who's assaulting his victims? Because I think him being a straight child murderer is gross enough. It's bad enough. It's scary enough.
Why is it so important to you?
Also, if you claim to love my writing, to be a fan of mine, why send this to me when it basically says, "Ha ha you're gross but love your stuff!"
And the final point. You didn't think when you sent this. Because hey Anon, you don't know this, but I am a victim of incestous CSA at the hands of my birth mother. I watched the movie. I didn't see a single hint towards the Grabber being a pedophile.
So why is it that your mind went there, when I, a victim, my mind never did once? Maybe ask yourself that. Maybe think before you send shit like this because you never know who is a victim and while I'm in a great place myself, this could be extremely harmful and triggering to some people. This still fucked me up to get.
I write lots of disturbing scenarios, all consensual with ADULT readers. I'm not sorry, I'm not apologizing. I'm mad.
I hate this conversation about the Grabber and Freddy and the assumptions that I write these characters in that context while I'm a victim myself. The idea people think I would write characters that I think do that is gross. You clearly think so highly of me. Glad you think I would write straight up pedophiles dude, really, thanks so much. /s
So there are my full thoughts, I'm on vacation right now and I'm going to make another fucking drink.

Some days are days where you get up and kick ass, take names, kill the game and write and write and write some more.
And other days beat you down so hard that you just have to call it and crawl into bed early.
Today is the ladder.

Something has been lingering on my mind and I want to make something very, very clear. Just because I do not write non-con, a very personal preference, doesn't mean that I do not support non-con in writing. I do! I think it is a great vein to explore and I support my fellow writers who engage in it and deff think they deserve basic respect and to not get hate for writing what they want.
I will not tolerate people shaming other people or trying to talk down non-con writers or writing to me.

All right. About that ableist shit about Bubba Sawyer. I really get pissed off at that shit. Especially since I consistently see the same people implying that he is adult enough to understand murder, crossdressing, cannibalism, preparing (human)meat for food, farmwork, vengeance, spitefullness, insecurity about his looks, fear of not being accepted and Lord knows what else. Basically all the other complex thought processes of an adult, but SEX, which is not a complex thought but a desire that almost everyone feels at some point in their life? Oh no, he is way too precious baby for that. Like FUCK OFF and take a long hike off a short pier.
Bubba is an adult. And a disabled adult IS NOT AND WILL NEVER BE the same thing as "a very tall innocent little child". Humans are way more complex than that. Inability to verbalise his thoughts and function exactly like everyone else in some areas doesn't make him a child. Lacking understanding of some things doesn't mean that the person lives in a fluffy pink candy land of their own, detached from the real world. A low IQ and the mind of a child are not the same thing. Bubba lives on a farm with his family for fuck's sake. Sex is one of the most down to earth things there are in human lives.
That fucking abhorrent mentality is not too fucking far off from "disabled people shouldn't be able to get married, they are children and need to be protected", and that shit is extremely harmful in real life.

Well said as always Furball! You really get it you know? Thank you for chiming in.
Seriously anyone I see pulling this shit, on any character in our circle, not even ones that I like in that specific way, I will not tolerate it. I am sick of it, so, so sick of the lack of education about these things and the most basic surface level thought being spewed out as fact.
It's just awful how many people just say, totally seriously, "Oh yeah disabled people like that have no desire for sex or pleasure or physical intimacy, moreover they can't fully understand it, comprehend it or consent to it." and think that is an okay thing to say! And it isn't! And I am gonna make sure that they fucking know it isn't okay, it's shitty, wrong, harmful and just factually incorrect.

Wow don't you love how some people add onto your posts without acknowledging any of the original things you said and add their own, shit tier, reasoning as to why they disagree? Not actually opening up a discussion, showing they didn't read your post and also not making their own SEPARATE POST?!
Yeah. Me too.
You know what else I love? Not responding to their fuckery and blocking their ass.

Hey! So! No writing the past few days, I know I don't owe literally anyone an explanation but I still wanted to give one. Shit’s been hard on my end. Stress is piling up, Mr.Bex and I trying to plan our move which will involve us moving to an entirely new city and me getting a new job, he’s had a death in the family and I got some truly awful news about my family, some big drama stuff, that is just really weighing on me, on top of my work being short staffed and overworking me, writing production has been MUCH slower as a result. I am still working on stuff, promise, writing makes me so damn happy and it is still one of my favorite things to do, I’m just making sure when I am not at work or putting out fires in my personal life that I am getting proper rest. Writing is still happening and will continue to happen, just not sure how often output will be for the next bit.
I am still endlessly grateful for all of you and trying to figure out what to do when we hit 1K which will be SO great and a fantastic motivator I imagine. Thanks for being here and sticking it out with me.

So after seeing some less than savory shit in the tags here is your big fat fucking reminder that I am polyamorous and it is a big part of who I am! I write so much polyam stuff because I want to see more content for people like me, I have a lot to say on it and it is important to me. SO! If you are a person who doesn't support polyamorous people or think that we are not deserving of love and respect, that our kinds or relationships aren't valid or that they are wrong, inherently more abusive or WHATEVER, that you can leave.
The shit I write, even if it is NOT polyam is not FOR YOU! It just isn't and I would super appericate it if you could get out and never come back.
