This is it the apocalypse
Spoiler alert: This following text will be possibly not having the same idea as the title above. I just love the way Dan Reynolds (as you guys know, the vocalist of Imagine Dragons) pronounce "the title of this text" in Radioactive song. Damn, I love it so much. You should have listened... (by the way this is also a lyric from Listen by Beyonce though). I believe that my head is now full of songs' lyrics. OK ENOUGH, before I am starting to talk about Never Enough by gorgeous Loren Allerd. Oh my God. Oh finally, here we go, the serious, main point of this post.
I TOTALLY AM DELIGHTED AND EXCITED TO START WRITING AGAIN. Well, I mean in this tumblr account of mine. It's been ages since the last time I wrote here because of a drama that took place in my country. The government banned the tumblr. Do you know why? Because of pornography, they said, which is a weird, non sense and narrow-minded reason I suppose. Didn't they see how this tumblr could be a media for stress releasing, self expressing, knowledge improving, reading and obviously writing? Okay I know that it is not a good and childish way to complain in the opening paragraph but I simply cannot help it. However, I have found some ways to open my tumblr and finally manage to write gain! Yeah! I am about to write some major highlights of my daily life that I thought....interesting or so.
1. Being sick
It is pretty uncommon in my country to have smallpox (or chicken pox?) in later than 23 years old. But sadly I did for two weeks. Although initially I hate the fact that this disease left some permanent marks on my face, I finally can manage to embrace it as an interesting story to be told to my children and grandchildren about how I fought the battle with those annoying virus and I won because I successfully followed my doctor to consume 70+ medicines consistently. Plus, my brother, who also has never been having the disease, did not get infected! HAHA. Can you smell it? The victory. By the way, during my sick time, I finally more understood about unconditional love of a mother. I love my mother much better now. Thank you illness!
2. Am I ready?
This-only-three-words-question has always been preying my mind for weeks. Is it May already? Are we welcoming June? September will come pretty fast. And I am terriefied. I don't know. Am I ready for this? Am I ready to live in UK for a year to take my master degree? The more inappropriate question that sometimes cross my mind is: is this really what I want? The last question is inappropriate as hell because I have come this far and myself is still doubting and questioning its decision? Pathethic, self. I have to prepare my departure. By Monday, I will have my lungs checked to certify that I am TB negative. Go, step. Be brave to start, self.
3. The Royal Wedding
Today was my first time watching full Royal Wedding ceremony in my life. Prince Harry and Meghan Marckle, in my opinion is a bold and sweet couple. I admire how Prince Harry chose Meghan as his gorgeous wife despite of differences they got. I also a fan of what Meghan did in their wedding. She took a leap and made an improvement in Royal Wedding raditions by embracing diversity. Looking both of them got married made me wonder, when will it be my turn? LOL. However, I have never imagined my wedding will be that extra expensive though.
4. Re-learn
I am happy that I can make my collection of apps more useful and insightful. I just found out how useful podcasts are. Duh. I have subscribed to some podcasts that are related to English, public speaking and academic writing. However, I haven't set the specific time for me to listen and learn from all of them. Extra info for you: TedX is a highly recommended channel/podcast for you not only to learn about public speaking and presentation, but also improve knowledge about everything. I just listened to a Pakistani woman that talked in TedX podcast about how she escaped from mobile and internet banning for women in Pakistan. This caused a strong restriction for knowledge and supported inequality between men and women. I was amazed, proud and shivering for what she has done for herself and many other women in Pakistan by doing continuous advocacy.
Those are some major highlights of life events of mine. What do you think?
