K so you know that Spooker might be a ghost? Imagine them during their starting year fucking around with the EMF reader because it's funny. They just stick their hand Infront of it to make it beep for a few seconds before doing it again until Ghost or Toast tell him to knock it off.

(Tbh i don’t fully understand how EMF readers work, so this is more me guessing than anything.)

But yeah! That would be such a cute moment and 100% one I could imagine happening. At least in my understanding of the lore, Spooker joined the team while Toast was in jail right before the werewolf arc (since Spooks was present for the Puppet arc and the end of the Werewolf arc was the start of the puppet arc… at least how I remember it.) Which means around when Spooker joined, the EMF wouldn’t just be going off for him, but possibly Toast too… meaning the EMF was likely retired before Ghost returned from the puppet arc.

… However, I do have an additional headcanon.

Casket sets off the EMF.

Ghost’s EMF is self-built, so its usual settings are set in a way to specifically ignore Ghost, that way it would be functional during investigations (pre-spooker and werewolf toast). Toast reset the settings trying to get it to stop reacting to him and Spooker, and Ghost doesn’t know what the settings he Had were since he hadn’t changed them in years. I also think that Colon would be the most interested in “normal” or at least usual ghost-hunting materials out of the team, and would be the most interested in refurbishing the EMF.

I do think Spooker would love to see the EMF again… and possibly introducing it to the new generation!!

What got you guys into the Paranormal in the first place?

Ghost: i had a lot of paranormal encounters as a child and wanted to know what was happening to me. but, i couldn't really read anything. so toast one day brought a book home from the library when i was staying over and started reading it to me and *a very long story follows this initial explanation*.

Toast: I just wanted to see Ghost happy. I barely remember anything that was in the books I read him but he's probably memorized all of them by heart.

Chris: I got curious about what the little man I was driving around was gonna go do with all that equipment.

Spooker: I really really like horror and wanted to know what it was really like to be around those things and experience it all.
