Syluss huffed a frustrated breath and what was before him. The half barrel of warm soapy water he made was less an attempt at bath time and now more fun shenanigans with his daughter. The child, little more than a week after her first birthday waggles her fingers and several balls of soapy water float overhead, the child giggling as they hover around like bubbles.

"Destiney, come look at what -your- daughter is doing?"

When she acted up for one parent, the running joke was it was suddenly the others daughter. Syl, turning to look behind him as Destiney peeks out the window at the attempt at bath time in the privacy of their front yard, Syluss throwing his hands in the air and chuckling. Scooping a handful of water in his hands and dribbling it on Evelyn's head, he was going to make this bath happen one way or another.

Baptistaux Hortimonte runs past Syluss and cannonballs into the water.  "I FINISHED COUTING THE SHEEP SYLUSS WHAT NEX-" Splash.  All. Over. Destiney.

Baptistaux Hortimonte: "Hi friend."

Glace Silencieuse: "What the bloody hells."  He peered over at the chocobo-headed cannonball.

Destiney Delvanguard gave a very deadpan look as someone clearly just splashed her. Wiping water off her face. "Glad I was dressed for swimming anyways..."

Nathaniel Castor eyes widened as the man ran past them, leaning away quickly to avoid the back lash of water. He grumbled a little as he slide further down, but had a brow raised to the chocobo head. . .

Syluss Koellian was going to say something and heard the familiar voice and his goat in tow. "Oh... You got done so fast." He wipes water from his face and looks at Dest. "Destiney, this is Baptistaux. Former Godsbow-" He whispers to her "somehow"

Baptistaux Hortimonte: "I got fired!"

Destiney Delvanguard frowned at Baptistaux and the ridiculous chocobo head. "Clearly. I would have remembered you had you been with them during my father's time."

Baptistaux Hortimonte: "I don't read.. good."

Syluss Koellian can't count good, but can read ok, so the number of times he had to read to Bapt was... numerous. "Oh yes, he is hard to forget." Glace Silencieuse: "I find your chocobo head offensive," he grumbled after a moment, and swam some distance away.

Baptistaux Hortimonte: "Bye friend!"

💘— What was one of the first things that attracted them to their partner?

Wolves! Destiney and Syluss had met at a tavern setting and she had Tucker with her because he was still a pup at the time. Well they got to talking about the wolves they both own after they moved outside for fresh air and less of the crowd. Yes the fact he was a duskwight and fit her preference of yummy was good but she's not that shallow to let looks be the main attraction. They're both Shroudlings and bonded over their love of animals and the woods.

Sahji's kindness. Stefan was still heavily deciding what he wanted or if he even wanted anything romantic or sexual. He'd only been starting to actually pay attention to what he wanted when it came to someone else. Sahji was the one he was referred to by Corveau over his voidsent 'problem'. And over the course of Sahji helping him, he learned more about Sahji and got to know him. So he fell first for Sahji's kindness.

Lance is much like Stefan, it was Kyna's kindness. She was originally working with him to help him with his survivor's guilt over the fall of the Vigil. Over the time of helping him, he got to know her because her kindness first attracted him to her. Especially since he's demi and doesn't do love at first sight. He's missed out on a lot of the tender loving care he should have gotten from his birth family. Something he gets now with the Loches and Kyna.

Sanagi refused to give up on him and it was that stubbornness that drew him in. Even when he tried to scare her away. Even when she found out he was an assassin. She had come to his Gin Mill fights because he'd wait till the next morning to have injuries tended. He was certain the gods loved to play cruel jokes on him and he was meant to be alone. But Sana stuck around and refused to believe he was as awful as he tried to make himself out to be.

Pine-3. Does your OC make a good patient?  Or are they resistant to being given medical treatment - or even agreeing to rest?

Alexois is a TERRIBLE patient. Not so much resistant to the medical treatments. But he's terrible at resting when he's supposed to. Aeri had to threaten him with force when he was fresh out of being rescued from two days of torture. His wife (though this was back before they started actually dating) started coming to his Gin Mill fights because he wouldn't come see her till the next day for his injuries.

Stefan isn't too terrible of a patient. But he very much likes to have comfort objects when he's confined to bed for healing injuries or illnesses. I think the hardest part has been him admitting he needs mental healing. So he's going to be on a forced rest from shortly after Starlight for a couple months.

Destiney is definitely a very good patient. She's had to deal with enough difficult patients that she doesn't want to be 'that person' for other healers. Though she'd be hard to make rest without a little fuss because momma doesn't get time off in her book. But Syluss and both of their mothers are very good at stepping up if Destiney has to rest. For her it is hard to say no to Syluss when he's doting on her. She's very fortunate to have such loving support.

(A little long overdue idea from back in Nov that I ended up not having the drive to write out. This is after the twins' nameday on the 17th. But the song managed to spark enough to give the general idea from then? But I think I'm skip writing out the combat today though. XD Thank you @sasslett )

Every day Destiney worried about him. Especially when he'd stop by now and then with bruises or minor cuts. None of it was ever serious enough to ask him if he wanted medical attention when he stopped at her clinic to deliver medicines for her supplies. He was keeping secrets but she never pried. All of his soft edges were gone. He was lean and definitely showing more muscle than she ever remembered her bookish brother having.

Sighing as she looked over her spells on the weapons. Maybe this wasn't the best idea. Asking him to show her what he was capable of. With spell blunted weapons of course. Especially since he'd shown up with a scythe of all things.

Not like she could change his mind anyways. At least he had Ely, Aryn, and Sahji. Plus the company. Surely the lot of them could keep her brother from getting himself killed in whatever chaos he was getting into. She loved that he had as much support as he did. To think only a few years ago he had next to none. He had the friends he'd never had growing up.

Destiney offered Stefan his scythe. "Shall we dance?"

"I'll show you that I'm plenty capable, Destiney." Stefan smirked as he took the offered weapon.

Destiney nodded as she moved away from him to put space between them. Dropping into a ready stance with her blade in one hand and it's crystal focus in the other. "Alright, brother dear. Show me you can handle yourself in a real fight."

In the end of the fight, she'd still bested him. She had the advantage of experience and the more nimble fighting style. But she could tell he'd been taking it serious, learning to make the most of his weapon. He'd even scored a couple blows even if she'd outmaneuvered him time and again. He wasn't that little boy anymore than needed her to protect him. Something had changed to make her scared brother who refused to touch real weapons into someone who could stand on his own.

"Come on. Let's go in for some tea and tarts. Talk a little bit." Destiney held her hand out to help her brother up off the ground. Heading inside with him to shed their weapons and armor to relax for a bit. Recover a little while they talked. Mostly Destiney had been curious to know how his nameday with Ely and Sahji had gone while she was out with Syluss having a little privacy for her own.

Did you design your OC with a specific aspect of RP in mind? Such as shipping, NSFW things, attending in-game social events, hosting events or entertaining others?

Well when I first designed Destiney, she was my first attempt at an OC on a MMO. Well serious attempt anyways considering she did exist on FFXI in a fashion. I just never tried to actually RP on FFXI.

I didn't exactly know what I was designing her for specifically when I started out. So I kept things really vague and simple while I tried to figure out what I wanted for her. Till I found my way into OS&R FC. I was invited to the FC through one of their beach night events the company used to have a long time ago under different management.

So I did poke at some light casual RP and some NSFW things before I found an RP FC. Now all my characters are more made with the idea in mind to write stories. Either with others or by myself. None of my characters have ever been made with shipping in mind. If it happens, it happens. But more often than not, it won't happen unless I truly trust the person. Destiney was actually IC married (not to Syluss) when I joined OS&R. (Because I was dating someone at the time and they were more comfortable if my character wasn't available. Clearly not still together an it wasn't RP that broke us up.)

I don't go to very many social or entertainment venues. Mostly because I get easily lost in chat scroll and anxiety. XD I do make an attempt now and then when I have the energy but I'll never create a character solely for these kind of things. I am definitely better at small group stuff or one on ones.

I was wondering about tucker, where does he live? does he live in the house like a dog or more of an outdoor pet wolf?

For a while when he was a pup, he was more of an inside wolf like a dog than an outside wolf. Especially when Destiney's mother had to watch over him while Destiney was working. Destiney and mom were trying their best to still raise him as much of a wolf as they could but it wasn't till Destiney and Syluss got together that Tucker had more wolf family to interact with and watch over him. So he could learn more wolf behaviors. Now Tucker tends to run with Syluss's trio as a pack. Destiney is still more than okay with them coming into the house if they want though Tucker prefers being outside more. Except at nap time cause then he has to protect the youngest member of the pack and watch over Evelyn. Basically he's comfortable sleeping wherever the pack sleeps or beside Evelyn's bed.

1. Introduction

Stefan - The nerdy mage half of the twins who studies aether and the War of the Magi. Loves carbuncles and studies alchemy as a hobby. Is actually a pretty decent painter too. Destiney - The healer and Shroudling of the twins and mother of one. Married to Syluss and currently running a small clinic of her own in the Lavender Beds. Loves reading and wandering about the Shroud with her family. Definitely the more athletic of the twins.

Lancefer - Knight of House Haillenarte and eldest of the Aurifore siblings. Currently disowned from his family and spends much of his free time with the Loche family or his girlfriend Kyna. Tara keeps saying he needs a hobby. Alexois - The Jackal of Coerthas, assassin for hire. Frequent attendee of the Gin Mill as Lexy and often accompanied by his wife, Sanagi. Has made many improvements despite the rough first half of his life. Does cooking as a hobby.

Valentin - A wandering minstrel and bounty hunter. Though he will often also teach music at his aunt’s free company. Also Alex’s nephew. Trying to live up to his father’s reputation as a bard. Alfarinn - A warrior from Tailfeather who now works as the head of Security for Sanagi’s free company. Often seen with Kino nearby and working with them to help locate a group of people responsible for the death of a loved one. Adelena - A healer for the Sanguine Sirens of Limsa. Though she has been given leave to explore when she’s ready to do so, she’s still often seen near Limsa. Not quite ready yet to explore the possibility of who her sire was. Also nicknamed The Frost Siren.

(The last two are not ‘technically’ elezen but more of in elezen disguise? XD) Ronove - A voidsent with no memory of who he was before. Currently working with Stefan for plot reasons. A bit of a shapeshifter but stays elezen for the time being. Often seen spending time with Elynni. Marielle - AKA Svitlana. Mari was a young dragon from Anyx Trine who decided to leave the nest to explore. Learned from someone or something in passing how to glamour themselves (they haven’t said who taught them). Only to end up stuck this way by a curse placed on them. For the most part is content for the time being while they are with Bodge.

Prompt #11: Lazy Day

Destiney looked up from the book in her hand with a warm smile at the squealing laughter of her child. The little girl delighted as her uncle swung her around in the air. Giving the mother a little break for reading as Evelyn got time with Lancefer. 

With all the family she had helping out, she was very fortunate. It made everything so much easier. Especially with both her own mother and Syluss’ mother babysitting as often as they were wanted. It gave both of the older women time with their grandchild and something to do. Elle had been delighted since the moment Destiney had told her she was pregnant with Evelyn.

And then there were her cousins. Lance more often than Lothaire. Mostly because it was so hard for Lothaire to get away. But at least Lothaire was safer now with Bran in Ishgard with him. It seemed to lighten the burden on his older brother. Destiney couldn’t remember the last time Lance looked so happy and carefree. Seeing him play with Evelyn, she wondered if he’d have children of his own some day.

Something sizzled in the pan on the stovetop. A fuzzy black ear twitched as the little sneak stealthed his way towards whatever was making such a delicious smell. It smelled like fish.

“What do you think you’re doing, Shadow?” Alex huffed as he turned around in time to bust the furry feline on his counter. “If you don’t get down this minute, there will be no fish for you tonight. Get off my damn clean counter.”

The black cat mewled at his threat, staring him down for a long moment. Finally Shadow relented and jumped down off the counter. Alex rolled his eyes at the cat as he picked up his spatula off the counter. “You know you’ll get fed so knock it off. Bratty cat. Let me finish making dinner for Sana first.”

Stefan flexed his wrist gently. The wrapping around it was gone but he was still supposed to be taking things easy for another day or two. Though now he was supposed to be gently working the wrist to make sure it was healed enough. Just no fighting.

That was fine. He’d started a book a few days ago that he didn’t quite finish because Sahji had come by. A worthy distraction from his reading of course. Anytime with Sahji was totally worth dropping a book for. Unless Sahji wanted to read with him. That was totally worth it too. 

Getting a drink and going over to his couch to get comfortable. Picking up the spicy romance novel he’d been reading the other day with the intent on finishing it.

Aryn sighed softly as he did his weekly cleaning around his apartment. Hating the cleaning but knowing it was entirely necessary. It wouldn’t be good to have a messy apartment if he was occasionally playing healer. 

Maybe he should find a place to work part time as a healer. Some clinic surely needed some help. It would mean less people invading his personal space for care. His apartment wasn’t really set up for it despite always keeping supplies on hand. Not that he wouldn’t help anyone that came by either.

But first! He needed his reward for all his cleaning. Rubbing his hands together as he gleefully looked towards the box Stefan had left as his payment. Taking a big sniff of that sugary goodness as he opened the lid. So worth it when he could convince people to bring him sweets for all his hard work.

Alfa peeked one eye open where he sat in the waist deep water of the river in the woods. Looking to see what Kino was doing beside him. Wondering how Kino could just sit here for so long. He didn’t quite get this whole meditation thing. It just didn’t work well for him. Not like it did for Kino. 

“You’re not meditating, Alfa.” Kino chided without opening an eye.

“I just can’t. You know I hate being idle.” Alfa sighed softly. 

“Funny. Though you can sit idle when snuggling with me.” Now Kino opened one eye to peer back at Alfa.

“That’s different. Cuddling is comforting. This is sitting in the moving water. I know the sounds of the woods and water should be relaxing. But… I guess I just feel like I also need to be on edge too.” Alfa explained as he crossed his arms. “Like I need to be alert at all times.”

“Alright. We’ll try something different then on your next day off. We’ll try somewhere you feel less on edge.” Kino suggests as they lean into Alfa since they’d been sitting so close. “We’ll figure out what works best for you in your own way.”

I spent the day gathering all the pets for you. :D (Well minus poor Keaira who doesn't have an IC pet yet.) Slapping behind a keep reading cause this is gonna be a long one.

Destiney has Tucker the wolf, Lucky the chaos rabbit, Lady the Dragonet, and Daisy the Fairy who had an armor fashioned for her during her days in the free company.

The Koellian house has way more pets than this but these are the ones Destiney herself added to the house when she married Syluss. Syluss had three wolves of his own and they've added more pets since.

Stefan has his carbuncles. Esper (Ruby), Sol (Topaz), and Stella (Emerald). Ronove isn't technically a pet though he can be mistaken for one when he hides in the bat toy.

Ronove recently picked up fishing in his free time. During one of his fishing trips, he got a small shark buddy. He's named his shark friend Littlefoot. He also got a big shark friend and named him Sharptooth.

Lance has a Owl he ended up adopting after finding it injured when he was out in Coerthas with Svan. He's been taking care of his little feathered friend since. It's name is Owlvael. The name was suggested by Stephanivien in jest towards his brother Aurvael.

Alex adopted a scruffy black cat from the streets and named it Shadow. Poor cat is missing part of his one ear and isn't quite as scruffy as he used to be. Shadow shares the home with his fellow cat, Tyranny, and Alex's wife, Sanagi.

Valentin has a doman magpie he named Lily. He adopted her from a foreign seller visiting Ul'dah. Lily is a smart bird that will take off an hide when Valen is working so that she doesn't get hurt.

Alfarinn picked up a dog for himself during his time working as the head of security. He wanted both a hunting companion and working company when Kino is away. His canine friend is named Frode.

Marielle adopted Blue when his mother was killed. After all, how hard could it be to care for a scalekin? Blue took well to having a dragon for family and they're just enjoying life together with Bodge.

Not so much a pet here even if Charlie looks like he could be one. Charlie is in fact a smart bomb. He follows Asher around and waits for a very specific verbal command to attack and explode.

Adel has an Otter buddy named Akir. He helps her pull off the extra spook factor when she does her Frost Siren bit. And now he's being her travel buddy while she's on leave from the Siren's due to the lack of work with current events.

Aryn was gifted his buddy Basil. A fan at one of the places the Troupe stopped at gave him Basil after a performance. He now torments his sister with the mandragora. Insisting he'll let Basil sleep on her pillows or getting Basil to scream and wake her.

(Basil was actually a gift from someone random just shortly after I made Aryn. I decided to make him IC because of that kindness.)

Nebula has their familiar named Karma. Karma hides in a plush qiqirn toy. However Karma often looks more like an elemental when not in the toy. Which is why the familiar hides in a plush toy since a lot of people are afraid of the Elementals.

What would they do if their best friend/lover changed into a dangerous monster? - For Destiney

Destiney would still love them regardless. She'd either offer to help them find a cure/fix if there is one and they want it or just support them with her love for them anyways. She got really accepting to the strange and weird in her time working with OSR that anyone not fitting 'normal' by society standards is still okay with her. Because even those not considered 'normal' need love too.

Plus Syl and I did already insist that if there was a AU for these two, it would definitely be Syluss is a werewolf and Destiney is a vampire. They'd be that cute vampire/werewolf couple I seen a comic for years ago where the guy is the werewolf and the girl is the vampire.

Prompt #8: Adroit

Leera had made it look so easy...

Not that she couldn’t manage it. It was just going to take more practice than she originally thought it might. Especially since it required being on top of the top of things with very fine skillful movements. At least in her case anyways.

The small plush wiggled it’s arms as Destiney wiggled her fingers. Thankfully she could concentrate while Evelyn was out climbing trees with her father. Though she should have been catching up on some of the house work or checking over supplies in the clinic downstairs. This was something she wanted to practice to amuse her daughter.

Besides Stefan was staying at the house for some much needed time off. He could watch the clinic and check over supplies. He might not be much of a healer but he was an alchemist and could replenish some of the supplies himself. Also buying her time to practice what she watched Leera do with ease.

A little controlled water aether within the plush to in a way bring it to life temporarily. Something simple to amuse her daughter with till the next time Uncle Leelee could come visit. She could do this. Just needed a little practice to avoid disappointing her baby girl.
