Caregiver Rosie Headcanons (Hazbin Hotel)

Heads up: this show contains death, violence, swearing, sexual assault, and various forms of depravity.

Rosie can spot a regressor a mile away, and she’ll start nurturing you before she even knows your name. It might be a little off-putting, but she has good intentions.

She loves to baby the absolute dickens out of you. No matter how old you are, she’s constantly pinching your cheeks and cooing about how adorable you are.

(And any argument about how you’re too old for that kind of thing is met with a cheerful hand wave. “Oh sugar, you’ll always be my baby, however big you get.”)

There’s all kinds of creepy confections at her store, and she’s happy to let you try them… but she’s also completely willing to make you more normal food. “It’s an acquired taste, sweetie, no big deal.”

She loves to dress you up in old fashioned outfits, and she goes on for hours about how darling you look.

She is GREAT with helping you work through big feelings. She’s a wonderful listener and always gives helpful advice.

She’s always watching for things she thinks you’ll like. Maybe she surprises you with a new toy, or maybe she points out a cool bug on the ground. She just likes seeing you excited.

If you like tea parties, Rosie is your gal. She’ll set out her best tea service, make all kinds of tasty snacks, and bring plenty of gossip to the table.

She’s a very hands-on person, constantly wanting to hug you or hold your hand or fuss with your hair. (And if you don’t like physical contact, she’ll respect that, but she’ll also try to find forms of touch you’re comfortable with. Maybe gentle tugs on your sleeve, or holding hands with a plushie? She’ll find something that works!)

She is very firm about rules and has absolutely no qualms about sending you to timeout. Don’t bother with the puppy eyes; she’s completely immune.

Caregiver Alastor Headcanons (Hazbin Hotel)

Heads up: this show contains a lot of swearing and cartoonishly gory violence.

He’s been on the hunt for a new source of entertainment, and a kiddo like you is perfect!

He is always smiling, and tries to ensure you are too. You’re never fully dressed without a smile, after all!

(And if you’re really upset, he’ll chatter and make jokes until either his presence or his laughing audience cheers you up.)

He also likes talking to you while you’re going to bed. He’ll lower his voice and chatter about things he’s seen or experienced, and the chatter will help lull you to sleep.

He can create certain objects with his powers, including little demonic toys for you.

He has plenty of… associates that he’s made deals with over the years. Some of them, like Nifty, adore you and think you’re the sweetest thing. Others, like Husker, are always grumpy and fun to pester.

(Al majorly encourages the pestering.)

As long as he’s around, you will never be harmed. No creature would dare try to mess with you.

He often pulls you into a musical number, using his abilities to give you props and change up your surroundings.

If you ever wander too far, or if he just can’t wait to see you, he summons you to his side, which is very sweet. It does mean hide and seek with him is terrible, though.

More Caregivers Gomez and Morticia Addams Headcanons (The Addams Family)

@kissforvoid suggested I write some more headcanons for these two, and I’m nothing if not a people pleaser. XD

Every opportunity they get, they love to hold big parties for the entire Addams clan. You better believe they had an “adoption” party when they became you official caregivers - complete with a mamushka all for you!

Morticia knitted baby clothes for all of her children, so of course she wants to knit some clothes for you. She makes them however you like; hoods with bat ears, spider-lace skirts, or simple footie pajamas.

Gomez is the singer of the two, and often serenades you with segments of tragic operas.

Morticia has a very fair complexion, so she knows how painful the sun can be. She is EXTREMELY strict about the use of sunscreen, hats or parasols, and protective clothing.

Halloween is the biggest holiday of their year, and they go all out for it. The house is decorated basement to attic, all the traditional Addams family treats are laid out, and they both spend weeks helping you perfect your costume until it’s exactly what you want it to be.

Gomez loves to hold mock trials over very silly things; missing pencils, cookies broken into pieces, slander by stuffed animals, etc. He is always the prosecutor while you get to be defense. He ALWAYS loses, and then gives you a treat as a reward for your brilliant debate skills.

Morticia knows a lot about witchcraft, and will teach you a few simple spells. The easiest one is to make it a lovely cloudy day.

Gomez often shows you home movies of himself and Fester as children. He loves to tell you stories of all the mischief they got up to when they were young.

Speaking of Fester: when Gomez and Morticia go out for the evening, Fester is your main babysitter. He’s even more energetic than Gomez and never fails to tire you out with his wild games.

(No matter how late they’re out, Gomez and Morticia always peek in and give you a good night kiss when they get home.)

Caregiver Zestial Headcanons (Hazbin Hotel)

Heads up: this show contains death, violence, swearing, sexual assault, and various forms of depravity.

Zestial is so incredibly tall, you can’t help feeling extra little around him. (It helps that he’s constantly patting your head and crouching down to meet your eyes.)

He’s an incredibly quiet person, and it’s not uncommon for him to accidentally sneak up on you. To avoid startling you, he’s taken to humming songs you like so you can alway hear where he is.

He’s very fond of spiders, and likes to dress you in spidery clothes or gift you spider plushies.

He’s big on schedules and keeps you on a pretty strict one. He feels it’s best for a little thing like you to know exactly what to expect.

And when the unexpected happens, he’ll take care of it. He has plans for every possible problem and is always prepared for anything. You never need to be afraid when he’s nearby.

No matter how fussy or bratty you may get, he’ll always keep his composure. He never takes what you say personally and always forgives you for what you say or do when you’re upset.

(Though, don’t think that means you won’t get sent to the timeout chair. Zestial may be forgiving but he’s not a pushover.)

He’s super observant and always notices any changes in your behavior. He can always tell when you’re upset, and can very often pinpoint the exact nature of the problem. This is helpful if you don’t like talking about things.

His favorite books to read with you are classical novels - things like “The Canterbury Tales” or the works of Shakespeare. He’ll read a few paragraphs and then pause to make sure you can follow the plot.

He also likes to tell you stories about his life and afterlife. If you’re brave enough to hear the specifics, he’ll go into quite a bit of detail.

Big Brother CatNap (Poppy Playtime)

Heads up: this game has jumpscares, gore, referenced torture and referenced cannibalism. Suggested by @millenniumproductions

CatNap doesn’t talk to you very much; he worries that his voice is too frightening. He mostly communicates through gestures or scratching words into the floor.

The one exception is if you ask him to talk about the Prototype. He’ll curl around you and tell you about how brave and kind and selfless the Prototype is.

CatNap also likes to hum to you, and his humming doesn’t sound as rough as his speaking voice. His favorite genre of music is jazz, but he’ll hum whatever kind of music you like as well.

Even despite being in ruins, Playcare is a pretty amazing place. With CatNap by your side, you can explore all over without worrying about any of the other toys. (He’ll always make sure you’re safe.)

He likes to play you the old Smiling Friends cartoons. Sometimes they’re a little… strange, but you still enjoy them.

He loves to play stalking and hunting games with you - things like Red Light Green Light and Wax Museum and Hide n’ Seek. He’s very sneaky and quiet, but somehow you always manage to win.

He doesn’t like going to school, but if you do, he’ll introduce you to Miss Delight. At first she’s a little suspicious of you, but within an hour she’s cheerfully teaching you all about the solar system.

CatNap helps you make your own room inside the Playhouse, and brings you plenty of pillows and blankets to make it extra cozy.

If you have trouble falling asleep, he’ll do everything he can to help you - with one exception. He’ll never let you be exposed to the Red Smoke. He doesn’t want you to have nightmares.

(But sometimes you will anyway; and then he’ll do everything he can to help chase them away.)

Caregivers Gomez and Morticia Addams Headcanons (The Addams Family)

Gomez is an especially affectionate person, and although Morticia is slightly more restrained, she is still deeply caring. Their children don’t particularly like physical contact, and they’ll always respect that. But if you enjoy contact? You can expect constant hugs, forehead kisses, slaps on the back from Gomez, and gentle shoulder squeezes from Morticia. 

Gomez is fluent in Peninsular Spanish and Morticia is fluent in French. If you are also fluent in one of these languages, the respective adult will cheerfully chat with you; and if not, they’ll both teach you words and phrases, and give you multilingual nicknames. “Ma créature de la nuit” and “Araña maligna” are the ones they most often use.

Gomez teaches you to fence, and encourages all manner of cheating. After you’ve learned a bit, he’ll periodically sneak up behind you and attack.

Morticia welcomes you into her conservatory whenever you want to visit. She’ll even let you feed some of the carnivorous plants!

The house is full of bizarre objects, secret doors, and general oddities - and you have free reign to explore. If you ever lose your way, Gomez will send Lurch to fetch you.

Morticia reads to you every night. The darkest variations of fairy tales, the works of Edgar Allen Poe, or even more recent fare like “We Have Always Lived in the Castle” and the works of Junji Ito; whatever you enjoy, Morticia will use it to put you to sleep.

Gomez normally uses his trains when he’s bothered by something, but he’s willing to let you play with them on occasion - as long as you find exciting ways to crash them!

If you enjoy making mischief, they’re the best caregivers to mess with. It doesn’t matter if you break something, if you make a huge mess, if you set off an explosive - whatever you do, they will laugh about it.

They’ll take you on tours through the family cemetery and tell you all about their relatives.

The family credo - “We gladly feast on those who would subdue us” - applies to you as much as anyone. If someone bothers you or tries to harm you, Gomez and Morticia will help you fight back.

Caregiver Mommy Long Legs Headcanons (Poppy Playtime)

Heads up: this game has jumpscares and some gore.

She loves to pick you up and rock you in her long arms. Sometimes being so high off the ground is frightening, but she’s careful to hold you extra tight.

She can make anything into a game, and loves to play with you.

Be aware though, she is very strict about not cheating. If you cheat she’s guaranteed to notice, and that’s a one-way ticket to a time out.

But if you play fairly and win? You get all the praise!

(Really, you get praise for anything. “Oh, good job, darling! Mommy is so proud of you!”)

The game station is your own personal playground, and she’s always nearby to help you if you fall or spin you on the merry-go-round!

Speaking of falling, she worries a lot about you getting hurt. Sometimes she hovers a little too much, but it’s just due to her worrying.

She’ll let you take rides on the train, but only around the game station. Not all the big toys in the factory are as kind as she is!

(She will bring you little toys to play with, though - they don’t move around, so they’re nice and safe.)

Her biggest fear is being left all alone, and she worries a lot about you leaving her. When she’s feeling especially scared she’ll want to sit and cuddle with you to reassure herself that you’re still there.

Caregivers Mystery Inc. Headcanons (Scooby-Doo)

Fred Jones

If there’s something you try to avoid doing - brushing your teeth, taking a nap, etc - he’ll create a trap to catch you in. Every trap is super safe and incredibly fun!

He’s probably the best cuddler in the gang; he gives fantastic bear hugs.

Fred loves taking you for rides in the Mystery Machine - especially if being in a moving vehicle helps you fall asleep.

He’s big on puzzle books and loves to go through them with you.

He TRIES to be firm with you… but he just can’t be. You’re too cute!

Velma Dinkley

She is ACTUALLY firm with you; no puppy-dog eyes are going to change her mind. Nice try, though.

She enjoys doing crafts with you; anything that can occupy her hands but doesn’t take too much focus is appealing to her. You once made her a beaded glasses chain, and she wears it everywhere.

She likes to give you worksheets to do - usually relating to history.

She’ll read you Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books, and she makes sure you notice the important clues.

In general, Velma does best with big kids. She loves little kids, but hanging out with a kiddo who can (kind of) understand the things she talks about makes her feel more like a parent.

Daphne Blake

Daphne, on the other hand, does best with littler kids and babies. She loves having someone to fuss over and take care of.

She loves helping you get dressed everyday, and always puts you in cute outfits.

She is fascinated by chemistry, and definitely shares that passion with you. Making baking soda volcanos is one of your favorite shared activities.

If you like roller coasters, she’s right there with you! Daphne loves coasters and can usually arrange for you to sit in the front car if you want.

(But she insists on being the one to buckle you in. You’re much too young to do it by yourself!)

Shaggy Rogers

Food is his love language. You’re feeling upset? He cooks up your favorite comfort meal. You did something really hard? He takes you out to celebrate! You’ve been playing for a long time? Snack break!

He is also SUPER careful about any food restrictions or allergies you have - and he will not hesitate to approach the waiter if there’s a mistake in your order. (He’s always polite, of course, but he’s not going anywhere until you have food you can eat.)

Whenever you have nightmares he’s right there to calm you down and help you fall back to sleep.

One of his favorite thing to do is hang out and watch movies with you. Even scary movies are fun (though he sometimes closes his eyes).

He can always, ALWAYS make you laugh…

Scooby-Doo

And YOU can always make SCOOB laugh. He’s very easily amused and his snickering laughter make you giggle.

(And he also makes you laugh when he does impressions. The dog’s a total ham!)

He’s super protective of you; even the scariest ghost couldn’t make him leave your side.

He love to play with you, or just hang out…

But his favorite thing is to curl up beside you and take a nap, knowing no monsters can get near you.

Caregiver Spider-Man Headcanons (The Amazing Spider-Man Duology)

Anon suggested any Spider-Man, so I picked my personal favorite!

He takes you swinging all over New York. It’s a little scary at first, but you get used to it very quickly and then it’s just fun!

Very often he’ll bring a picnic, so you can have a nice lunch on top of a building.

He tends to incorporate things from his own childhood into his caregiver role. He always cuts the crusts off your sandwiches, he loves playing hide and seek, etc.

He’s always trying to interest you in science. He gets you a mini chemistry kit, reads you children’s level books on biology, and takes you to the museum all the time.

He’s constantly snapping pictures of you. He can’t help it; everything you do is just adorable!

His reflexes are incredible, which means it’s nearly impossible to run away from him - but it’s still fun to try!

He’s a bit of a mischievous guy and loves teasing and tricking you. Is it surprising that he loves all the Anansi stories and tells them to you all the time?

He loves mysteries and thrillers, and so you tend to watch a fair bit of Gravity Falls with him.

He weaves webs for you to hang out in. They’re very comfortable!

Whenever you’re having a hard time doing something, he’ll let you borrow his mask so you can feel stronger.

Caregiver Heinz Doofenshmirtz Headcanons (Phineas and Ferb)

His greatest wish is to give you the childhood he wanted for himself. He spoils you with gifts, showers you with attention, and frequently tells you how important you are to him.

(He also tries very hard to avoid talking about his childhood around you. He doesn’t want you to worry about his problems.)

He loves putting on big musical numbers for you, much to both your delight. He’s a major showman and loves to entertain you.

If you mention you want something, he will find it for you. It may take years, but he will find it.

On that topic, he listens to you so intently. Even if you’re baby-babbling and making no sense, he gives you his full and complete attention and adds in little comments and responses.

Your birthday is one of the biggest days of his year, and he always goes all out to give you the best birthday ever.

He loves to have dramatic play-fights with you - and of course you always beat him. “Curse you, Kiddy the Kiddo!”

He is super protective of you, to an almost ridiculous degree. He always has emergency supplies for any possible discomfort you might experience, and he is very stern about things you can and can’t do - no swimming without floaties, no playing with his inventions, etc.

(Well, there are a few inventions you can play with. He builds a crib-inator that can rock you to sleep in minutes, a toy-inator that can create brand new toys out of random items, a babysitter-inator that takes care of you whenever he’s away…)

Taking over the tri-state area is his second biggest goal; the first is to keep you happy. If he has to give up the tri-state area for your sake, he’ll do it in a heartbeat; because you’re so much more important.

Caregiver Baymax Headcanons (Big Hero 6)

As soon as Baymax learns about regression, he downloads resources from various websites on the topic. He will then ask you questions about your personal regression so he can help make it more pleasant.

His movements and actions are slow by design, meant to coincide with his nonthreatening appearance. As a result, regressing around him is typically a very relaxed experience.

Due to his strength and inability to feel fatigue, Baymax is happy to carry you when you request it.

Similarly, he will activate his heater and cuddle you if you need close comfort. He can adjust the temperature and regulate the distribution of heat to make it the most comfortable cuddle ever.

Baymax has numerous sprays literally at his fingertips, including a nontoxic antibacterial spray. If you like to chew on things you’d better learn to like the taste, because he is always one step ahead of you.

He rewards you with sugar free lollipops whenever you complete tasks you find difficult.

He downloads a few of your comfort films and songs to have readily available.

He never, ever, EVER admonishes you for crying. It doesn’t matter where you are, what the situation is, how many people may be around - crying is a natural reaction to pain or stressors, and he will never try to stop you. (And he will cheerfully lecture about the merits of crying to anyone who DOES try to stop you.)

Once you are done crying, Baymax will try to put together why you were upset and help however he can. Are you frustrated because you can’t build a tower? He will assist. Did you see something that made you very angry? He’ll want to talk about those feelings. Was it just the pain of stubbing your toe? He’ll ask you to sit and ice it for a little while before you continue playing.

It goes without saying, but Baymax is very focused on your safety and health. He buckles your car seat whenever you’re going somewhere. He sprays you with suntan lotion before you go outside. If you take medication, he ensures it’s always on time. You are his patient, and he wants to make sure you live a long, happy life.

Caregiver Stolas Headcanons (Helluva Boss)

Heads up: this show has a lot of sexual humor and scenarios, as well as cartoony graphic violence.

It goes without saying, but he loves stars. Any regression gear he gives you will have stars all over, and nicknames he uses for you will relate to space, and anytime you ask he’ll open a portal so you can look up at the cosmos together.

He is super protective, and won’t tolerate anyone bothering you in any way. He’ll pull out the royalty card for minor rudeness and use his petrifaction gaze for anything serious.

Even when you’re not regressed (and especially when you are) he won’t put up with any swearing. “Language, dear! You mustn’t use such words, those are only for commoners.”

Loo Loo Land was a special place for Stolas and Octavia, and he wants to have a special place for you and him. Maybe that’s Lu Lu World, or a library, or a restaurant. Stolas doesn’t mind the specifics, he just wants to find a place you like that he can take you to.

The man does not care at all about his image when he’s with you. Whatever silly games you want to play or goofy clothes you ask him to wear, he obliges in a heartbeat. As long as his kiddo is happy, he literally can’t be embarrassed.

Slightly related: he is constantly holding your hand. He loves knowing you’re close and can’t wander too far, loves being able to lead you to something he thinks you’ll like, loves when you drag him towards something you’re excited about.

Stolas is very proud of his plants and loves to show them off to you. They can be a little dangerous for little fingers, though, so he won’t let you get too close.

He’ll bring you along to any festivals he needs to participate in (as long as he feels it will be safe), and will spend his free time enjoying the commoner activities with you.

He is truly interested in hearing about what you enjoy; even if he doesn’t understand the appeal himself, anything his kiddo likes is something he wants to know about.

Being a caregiver for you helps him to take better care of himself. He eats more regular, balanced meals because he needs to set a good example. He fixes his sleep schedule so he’ll have the energy to play with you. He even tries to be more honest about when he’s feeling unhappy, because he wants you to know expressing those feelings yourself is okay. Stolas has never been great at looking after himself for his own sake, but when it’s for your benefit, it becomes much easier.

Regressors Riley Anderson and Emotions Headcanons (Inside Out)

Suggested by anon; they didn’t specify a character, and I had ideas for both Riley and the emotions, so… Ya get both! 😁

Riley

Riley learns to love San Francisco, but she still misses her life in Minnesota. She finds that when she’s especially missing her old life, she starts acting like a much younger kid. At first she’s confused and a bit embarrassed, but when she tells her parents, they reassure her that if it helps her to feel better, it’s okay. After that she feels more comfortable about her regression and starts to truly enjoy it.

At first, before she knows about what regression is, she calls it “San Francisco preschool”; she loved her preschool in Minnesota, and she’s re-exploring some of that joy and security in her new town.

She’s rather clumsy when she’s regressed, often ending up with scratches and covered in rainbow bandaids.

She loves skating and hitting the puck around, but she doesn’t have the attention span to actually play hockey.

She’s extra silly, making ridiculous jokes and acting completely goofy.

She LOVES drawing, and the fridge is completely covered in pictures.

Her absolute favorite regression foods are dino nuggets and ice cream.

She is CONSTANTLY singing. Little Riley has a song for absolutely any situation.

She’s a pretty sensitive kiddo; it doesn’t take much to make her cry. Fortunately, it also doesn’t take much to cheer her up again.

She doesn’t like to tell people about her regression, but she does want a friend to play with. As it turns out, another girl on her hockey team also regresses and is very open about it, and she and Riley become regression buddies.

Riley’s mom and dad completely encourage play dates and nurture the heck out of both girls.

The Emotions regress in order to help Riley regress, and while they mostly embody different parts of her regression, they do have a few traits Riley doesn’t.

Joy

She is the hyperest kiddo that has ever lived, constantly bouncing and running and playing and laughing. Every once in a while she collapses in a nap, but then she’s right back to being a wild child.

She’s super excitable. Absolutely everything is amazing to her, everything is cool, everything is fascinating. She just loves the whole world!

She is VERY bossy of the other emotions, even more so than she usually is. She wants everything to be exactly “right” at all times, and only her definition of right will do.

She loves playing games. Any game at all is fun for her!

She frequently calls up specific memories and plays alongside the memory version of Riley.

Sadness

She is the “oldest” out of the emotions, and tends to look after the others to a certain extent.

She experiences verbal shutdown when she’s regressed.

She is the biggest napper out of everyone. She can doze off anywhere.

She’s very cuddly and loves to snuggle the others.

She really doesn’t care about playing, but she likes to line toys up and admire them.

Fear

For Fear, being regressed means seeing everything as an even greater threat. Being small and helpless means absolutely anything could be dangerous!

But, on the other hand, being regressed means he’s especially trusting and so can be calmed down much more easily. If the others tell him something is safe, he’ll believe them almost immediately.

He LOVES to be swaddled. Being wrapped up is one of the most calming experiences for him.

 He also likes being talked to. The subject doesn’t matter, he just finds voices soothing.

He surrounds himself with familiar items and finds a lot of comfort in identifying them and exploring their textures.

Disgust

She is SUPER bratty, and very demanding. You never need to wonder whether she likes something because she’ll tell you if she doesn’t.

(On a related note, she’s the pickiest eater out of the group.)

Despite her brattiness, she actually needs a lot of reassurance. She feels really self-conscious about regressing and needs to be told frequently that it’s okay, she’s still the coolest, etc.

She is the most fixated on having regression gear. The others could take or leave pacifiers and bibs, but for Disgust, it’s VITAL she “looks the part”.

She loves to tease the others, especially Anger.

Anger

He’s the biggest mischief kiddo. He loves making messes and playing tricks.

His absolute favorite activity is building towers and knocking them down - but he gets enraged if they fall before he’s ready.

The biggest advocate for fairness - and by “biggest” I really mean “loudest”. Even if it’s a situation where he gets the better deal, he’ll yell “THAT’S NOT FAIR!” and correct it.

Out of the emotions, he’s the one who most enjoys playing by himself. He’s not interested in any group games.

It actually takes a lot to get him into full tantrum mode, but when he gets there, watch out. Endless screaming, throwing things, fire everywhere - it’s a lot.

Imagine we go on a camping trip together.

We wake up in our tent to the sound of birds singing. It’s chilly outside, but we’re bundled in our warmest jammies and wrapped up in comfy blankies. We lie there for a while, enjoying the comfiness of the tent and all the sounds and smells of the forest.

Finally we get up and make ourselves some breakfast. We have the choice of cereal or eggs or toast, or all three! Chipmunks run around the edge of our campsite while we eat, hoping to steal any crumbs we drop.

After breakfast we get our swimsuits and sunscreen and beach toys. It’s a short walk from our campsite to the lake, and we spot plenty of cool bugs along the way. When we reach the sand we drop our towels and race to the water. It’s cold - almost too cold, but not quite. We shriek and splash each other, and we get used to the chill of the water. We play catch with a beach ball, and duck underwater to watch the fish. There’s a swampy place by the water’s edge, and we creep through the mud and catch slimy green frogs. They wiggle in our hands until we gently let them go.

Finally we climb out of the water and dry off, shivering in the wind. We hurry back to our campsite and change into warm, dry clothes. We have sandwiches for lunch, and then we settle into our tent for a nap.

When we wake up, we have visitors - a pair of deer are grazing on berries at the edge of our campsite! We watch in silent delight until they meander away. Then we get our backpacks and get what we need for a hike. Boots, lots of water, sunscreen, plushies to keep us company - and don’t forget the bug spray!

The path starts near our campsite and goes up a large hill. We see lots of plants and beautiful flowers, little lizards sunning themselves on rocks, and a hawk circling above us. We wade through a lazily moving river and dip our hands under a small waterfall. When we get back to the campsite we’re tired out, but happy.

We start up a campfire and cook dinner over the flames. We burn it a little, but we can pick around the edges. We tell jokes and funny stories and watch the fire brighten as the sky darkens. Finally, the embers are hot enough to roast marshmallows. There’s no limit to how many s’mores we can have, and we get sticky with marshmallow and melted chocolate.

The night creeps up around us, but with a sky full to bursting with stars, we aren’t scared. We find shapes in the sky and make spooky noises and watch the fire die down. By the time it’s safely out, we can barely keep our eyes open. We put our pajamas on, crawl into our sleeping bags, and immediately fall asleep.

Caregiver Guardians Headcanons (Rise of the Guardians)

Jack Frost

He loves ANY kind of game; board games, chase games, sports games, nonsense games - whatever it is, he’s happy to play it with you.

He’ll take you flying with him, but be ready for midair tricks and teasing.

On that note: pranks. Jack plays constant pranks - on you, on the other Guardians, on strangers, he just loves teasing people. He often recruits you to help play tricks.

You will NEVER be overheated again. Anytime Jack thinks you’re getting overly warm, he’ll create frost under your feet or send ice creeping up the walls.

He’s not always good at toning down his energy levels, but if you need a quiet day he’ll do his best to oblige.

North

The workshop is ALWAYS open to you. You can play with the elves, bother the Yeti, and “test” all of the toys. It can get a little overwhelming sometimes (the workshop is a very loud, busy place, after all), so you’re also welcome to retreat to North’s office if you need a break.

In his free time he enjoys carving toys and figurines out of ice, and he then imbues them with magic so they can do impossible things. Nearly every time you visit, he’ll make you something as a gift.

North will use the snowglobes to take you all over the world. Not just to other cities or countries, but to magical places no human has ever been able to see.

He is very dramatic, and loves playing pretend with you. He tends to get VERY invested in his role, to the point where his work has to be put on hold. “I can’t check naughty list now, can’t you see I am sailing this boat?”

North gives the best pep talks. He never wants you to feel like you’re anything less than amazing, and he’s wonderful at calming any fears you might have.

Bunny

The week before Easter, the Warren is insanely busy; but the rest of the time, it’s a very quiet, peaceful place. Bunny’s happy to bring you down there whenever you ask, to play or have a picnic or just enjoy the scenery.

Whenever you’re feeling down he’ll paint a few eggs for you, with your favorite colors and shapes and patterns. Then he’ll hide them where he knows you’ll find them.

He has a dozen nicknames for you, all of them affectionately teasing - ankle-biter, rugrat, nipper, etc.

He HATES cold weather… but if you really want to go out in the cold, he’ll always join you.

Any time you get tired of walking, he’ll set you on his back and run. He’s very fast, and it might be a little frightening at first, but he would never let you fall.

Tooth

Obviously she insists that you brush and floss daily, but she finds ways to make it a fun activity.

She’ll happily hold you on her hip while she’s hovering or flying near the ground. (She doesn’t like to take you too high in case you get scared.)

Out of all the Guardians, she’s the best at handling scraped knees or bumps on the head… but her bedside manner takes a little getting used to. “Oh, I know it hurts sweetie, but look! This bruise is such a pretty shade of purple!”

Tooth loves sitting with you while you’re asleep. If it weren’t for all the work she needs to do, she’d stay with you all night - she loves seeing you so peaceful and content.

Thanks to her abilities as a Guardian, she’s able to help you remember the most important moments in your life. These memories aren’t inherently good, but they are the moments that helped shape the best parts of your character. She’s happy to share them with you whenever you need them, and she’s already ready to comfort you if some of the memories cause negative feelings.

Sandy

He can help ANYONE fall asleep. Clinical insomnia, stressful day, too much caffeine - Sandy can knock you out in a moment if you want him to, with guaranteed good dreams to follow.

But, if you like staying up late, that’s fine too! Sandy is happy to take you along while he makes his rounds, showing you the night sky in different parts of the world.

He creates various animals or objects to send into people’s dreams. He’s also willing to make little toys or creatures for you to play with.

Sandy is a great listener. If you need to talk about your troubles, your bad day, your personal worries, he’s always there. Afterwards, he’ll offer to weave you a dream where things are different. Or, if you just want to get it off your chest and then move on, that’s fine too.

On a slightly related note, he’s fantastic with quiet kiddos. While the other Guardians might try to fill up silent moments with chatting, he doesn’t care if you never say a word. Your company is alway enough.

Caregiver Maleficent Headcanons (Sleeping Beauty)

I’m basically ignoring the live action film; we’re getting full Mistress of All Evil, folks! XD

As the absolute queen of dramatic entrances and exits, she’s happy to teach you the best ways to command attention.

Make sure you invite her to all your tea parties; she doesn’t take being snubbed too well.

On that note, she reminds you constantly that you must “suffer no insults”; if someone’s being a jerk, make them regret ever messing with you.

She’s not always an affectionate person, but she likes to touch your hair and call you “my pet”.

While she’s working she’ll let you curl up in her cloak and doze. It’s really comfy!

Diablo is a little jealous of you at first; he’s used to being Maleficent’s favorite. But after a little time (and some treats) you’ll win him over.

The Goons adjust to your presence much more quickly, and they totally spoil you.

Maleficent mainly uses her magic for negative purposes, but she’s willing to make exceptions for you. She has all the abilities of the good fairies, plus a few tricks they don’t possess.

(For example, she can transform you into a child whenever you ask her.)

She often conjures up interesting things for you to look at when you’re getting ready to sleep - it’s like a magical mobile!
