Telenovelas, soap operas, y lakorns have trained us well for these shenanigans and hijinks.

Why y'all can't remember twenty-two people's names is beyond me, but I had them down the first episode.

Why y'all don't like the tonal whiplash is odd to me because for me, ten minutes on one couple is TOO MUCH TIME. Six minutes, TOP, and move on to the next one.

Someone getting stabbed in one scene then the next scene being someone celebrating at a birthday party is the way I like my shows, and don't let that person be getting stabbed AT that birthday party because that is my bread and butter.

Oh, and TWINS!

My favorite show includes all of these fine points, and it's the 1998 Mexican telenovela called

La usurpadora

Somewhere in fictional hell, Soraya Montenegro from María la del Barrio is pissed as fuck.

The plot: Paola is a rich bitch and wants to leave her husband for her evil lover but can't figure out how.

¡Sorpresa, cabrona! She meets a worker who looks just like her while on vacation or some shit.

Paulina is the other woman and she is too poor to contour. Therefore, rich bitch Paola convinces kind and caring Paulina to be her stand-in. Paola tells Paulina she will live the best life and be rich, while Paola can be free. It's a win-win.

¡MENTIRAS!

Paulina refuses! So Paola blackmails her into doing it, and with her mother dead, her fiance gone, and no job (since she was fired as part of Paola's blackmailing scheme), Paulina is forced to take the offer. This is like episode 2 out of 102.

In the next 100 episodes, we get forty-five other characters who are all important to the plot, amnesia, cheating, murder attempts, Paola pretending to be paralyzed, Paulina GOES TO PRISON, someone discovers they are actually twins (no duh!), and a crap ton of more drama.

Oh, and the car crash!

But God got Paulina, so she good. Even in the sequel when she had cancer, pero no, she was just pregnant.

The show is based on a 1971 Venezuelan telenovela that was adapted from the book La Intrusa, and has since had several remakes. One was in 2019, which made Paulina Colombian (or was she always Colombian?), and A MUSICAL THIS YEAR!

It holds a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes because the people know this was a 🎁🎁🎁 from God, and it is not up for debate because it featured men dancing around singing Celia Cruz's "La vida es un carnaval" y Selena's "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom." This movie is the moment.

The lead is Cuban actress Isabella Castillo Díaz who played in America and México's co-produced telenovela ¿Quién es quién?, which is basically the boy version of La usurpadora because of the twins plot. Do you see the theme?

But back to the musical, which also features Drag Race superstar, Valentina. If you know this bitch (affectionate and derogatory), you KNOW!

The 1998 version and musical both embrace the camp of it all. The music in the original 1998 version was peak telenovela, and even if you don't speak Spanish, readers, just watch the first minute of this video. I promise you it will be worth it, and it will give you three perfect examples of the *vibes* I'm always rambling about.

With Sweden about to officially join NATO in the coming days, the U.S. Air Force celebrated March 6 with a rare double overfly of bombers, with a B-52 Stratofortress and a B-1 Lancer flying over Stockholm, accompanied by the Swedish Air Force's JAS39 Gripens fighters.

The U.S. Air Forces in Europe noted in a statement that the bombers flew over the Avicii Arena, the Swedish Parliament, Stockholm Arlanda Airport and much more during the overfly.

A spokesman for the U.S. Air Force Global Attack Command said that the B-52 came from the 5ª Bomber Wing at Minot Air Base, North Dakota, while the B-1 came from the 28ª Bomber Wing at Ellsworth Air Base, South Dakota.

Both bombers planned the CONUS-CONUS mission, which means that they took off from the U.S. and intended to return without landing. The B-1 was diverted, however, to the RAF Base in Fairford, in the United Kingdom, said the spokesman, confirming sightings and reports on social networks.

"The training was a great success and is based on our already excellent relationship," added the spokesman.

“The strong and lasting bond between the United States and Sweden, rooted in mutual interests and shared values, is prepared to reach new heights,” USAFE commander General James Hecker said in a statement. “As Sweden prepares to join the NATO Alliance as its 32ndº member, we eagerly anticipate the deepening of our collaboration with our Swedish Allies. Initiatives such as this joint passage are just the beginning, as we work together to promote international stability and security."

Such missions are signs of support, such as when the B-52s flew over North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro and Croatia in August 2022. A statement from USAFE at the time said that the mission demonstrated "the commitment and guarantee of the U.S. to the Allies and NATO partners located in Southeast Europe." Similarly, the F-16s fled over Bosnia and Herzegovina in January, in a show of force aimed at deterring the "separatist activity" of Bosnian Serbs. In May 2021, the B-52s flew over all NATO nations in a single flight.

The joint flight of the B-52 and B-1, however, is unusual. The Stockholm overfly recorded a quick return after two B-1s returned to Ellsworth on March 1º, concluding a deployment of the Bomber Task Force at Lulea-Kallax Air Base in Sweden. The jets arrived on February 24 and carried out surface attack, air interdiction and approximate air support training with the Swedish Air Force. On the way back, several NATO allies took turns practicing interceptions with the B-1.

The restoration project was paralyzed until in 1735, the mayor José Montenegro das Seijas recovered the need to build a new town hall. A report was commissioned from Lucas Ferro Caaveiro and Pedro da Silva that revealed the poor state of the façade, which was propped up and threatened to collapse.

The project of reform both exterior and interior was entrusted to the first of them. The priority given to the reform allowed Ferro Caaveiro's plans to be approved in February 1736 and the demolition of the old building to raise the new one was consented to. Ferro Caaveiro proposed to expand the surface by adding two more rooms to the plant, for which an orchard was purchased that bordered the back and west of the previous building. The work lasted well into the next decade. Although the date of 1738 appears on the façade, it was not until 1744 when it was completed.

The main façade of the consistory has a composition of two heights. The lower one has a porch with eight semicircular arches supported on nine pillars.

On the floor the eight window doors arranged on the lower arches give way to two iron wrought iron balconies supported by decorated corbels.

The plates of the façade give us the relationship with the Compostela Baroque. The decoration of the façade is very similar to that of Novoa houses in the chapel of the Big Eyes. The façade is completed with shields and a molded cornice with six gargoyles on as many pinnacles. This composition is closed with two towers at the corners of a single body.

The comb of the central section has an orlada cartouche that points to José Vaamonde, alderman of the city in 1738.

At the end of the works of Ferro Caaveiro it was necessary to carry out small interventions. In 1759 the arch of the damaged courtyard cover was restored. In 1834 the architect Alejo Andrade Yañez remade the roof of the façade because its state threatened the main façade. In the first half of the nineteenth century it was ordered to whiten the façade trying to improve the external appearance, but maintenance problems due to rain caused the return of the façade to the exposed stonework. The original forge of the balconies donated by Bishop Francisco Izquierdo y Távira was replaced in the seventies.

But the greatest intervention on the whole occurred when, because of the increase in administrative work, it became necessary to expand the headquarters. In 1862 the project of its extension was assumed. For this, the houses of number 2 and 4 of the Plazuela de la Nova were bought, which together with the secondary school provided the necessary land. The expansion plans were signed by the municipal architect Angel Cosín y Martín who was also a member of the Academy of San Fernando. This construction consists of smooth wall of whitewashed masonry and masonry in the fencing of the openings, baseboards, corners and the line that divides the two floors. This sober appearance places it within the neoclassical spirit.

Once the work was finished, the lack of a basic element for a building that represented the civil power of a provincial capital was seen. The sitting of 1 January 1865 reflected the need to:

In this observation the rivalry between civil and ecclesiastical power to control the population is perfectly visible. Economic difficulties forced the project to be postponed until 1871 and the design was commissioned to the municipal draughtsman Luis Vázquez. Before finishing its construction, failures were detected that made it necessary to demolish it.

In parallel to the reconstruction, a clock was acquired in London. Curiously, this clock was originally intended for the cathedral of Malaga. Successive delays and chastened by the failure of 1871, the architect Nemesio Cobreros y Cuevillas was commissioned a more ambitious project than the previous one, imposing height as the only requirement. This requirement made the architect renounce to place the tower on the façade. He chose to delay its location, resting it on four pillars, two in the back wall and two in the inner courtyard. Work began in 1873 and was completed the following year. The entry into operation of the clock coincided with the passage of the Corpus Christi procession through the main square, highlighting the rivalries between the two powers.

Sabina, quien a sus 74 años sigue siendo un ícono de la música en español, se encontraba en pleno tour "Contra todo pronóstico", presentando su más reciente producción homónima. La gira había generado gran expectación entre sus seguidores, agotando entradas en diversas fechas, incluyendo algunas en el Auditorio Nacional de la Ciudad de México. En febrero de 2020, en el marco de la gira con Joan Manuel Serrat, en el Wizink Center de Madrid, Sabina sufrió un desvanecimiento que lo dejó fuera de combate apenas unos instantes de la pandemia mundial del Covid-19, lo que supuso dos años de silencio hasta que en 2022 apareció en la premiación de los premios Goya. Este infortunado suceso representa un nuevo revés en la exitosa carrera de Sabina, quien recientemente se presentó en el Coliseo de Puerto Rico como parte de su gira. Pancho Varona se encontraba de viaje en México, en noviembre de 2022, para reponer un concierto al alimón con Los Secretos en el Lunario del Auditorio Nacional. Overflights demonstrate the U.S. guarantee and commitment to allies and partners in the region.

Two B-52 Stratofortress strategic bombers assigned to the 23rd Bomber Squadron of Minot Air Base, North Dakota, currently operating from the RAF Base of Fairford, United Kingdom, carried out low-approach overflights over southeastern Europe on August 22.

The overflight demonstrated U.S. commitment and assurance to NATO allies and partners located in southeastern Europe flying over Dubrovnik, Croatia; down the Adriatic coast of Montenegro; Skopje, North Macedonia; and Tirana, Albania.

These exclusive overflights also provided citizens with the opportunity to watch some of NATO's most powerful aircraft go over.

"As we look up at the sky over Skanderbeg Square today, we remember the last 100 years of diplomatic relations with America and hope to work together for the next 100," Maj. Gen. Gen. Arben Kingji, Chief of Defense of Albania. "A lot has changed in 100 years, but the United States has never hesitated to support Albania and its people. We are very pleased to see our countries working side by side defending democracy, peace and human rights... "Krah Per Krah". (an Albanian phrase meaning "Shoulder to Shoulder").

Skanderbeg Square is the main square in the city center in the capital of Albania, Tirana, and was named after the Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti, commonly known as Skënderbeg. This historic square served as an important observation site for senior military and government officials of Albania, American diplomats and residents of Tirana.

"As the latest nation to join the strongest alliance in the world, North Macedonia is proud to have strategic bombers from our NATO ally, the United States, flying over their heads," said Slavjanka Petrovska, Minister of Defense of the Republic of North Macedonia. “His European presence highlights the strength and cohesion that exist among the 30 NATO nations.”

The government of North Macedonia and military officers saw the strategic bombers of the Government Building of the capital of the Republic of North Macedonia, Skopje.

"America's determination to support our allies in southeastern Europe and our collective efforts with NATO have, in fact, never wavered," said General James Hecker, commander of USAFE-AFRICA and AIRCOM. “We will continue to ensure the mutual protection of the freedom that all our nations value.”

For more than 60 years, the B-52s have been the backbone of the United States strategic bomber force. The B-52 is able to drop or launch the widest variety of weapons from the U.S. inventory.
