Tengo una teoría hacerca de AcceleRacers Ignition ya que al cuando Gig va en busca de Vert podemos ver que están apunto de iniciar una carrera entre Teku y Metal Maniacs, a lo lejos se ven 7 carros, el sinkro, chicane, bassline, slingshot, deora 2, no podemos decir que es Tork por que al igual que Taro llegaron después, tengo 1 teoria ante este momento:

Uno de los carros puede que sea el Power Bomb ya que este no sale en ningún momento pero si en la linea de autos que salió de la película y para el otro auto sería El tipo de la radio... Este no se muestra pero si lo escuchamos durante unos segundos ya que es a el quien le llama monkey para saber si ya esta lista la carretera, después de esto y de que llegara Mark el dice despejado (o algo así 😅) para dar inicio ala carrera.

Pues bueno ante esta teoría yo digo que El tipo de la radio sería quien organiza las carreras y este mismo pudo haber dejado su carro en ese lugar solo para ir a dar una vuelta y asegurarse de que todo estuviese en orden.

¿Que tal mi fumadota? Y ya que no tengo nada que decir mas que es una teoría interesante...

Phan Cam: When Two Flames Meet

NOTE: I know that the Vert Wheeler from the World Race/Acceleracers and the Vert Wheeler from Battle Force 5 are officially two completely different characters, but in this timeline, they are the same person. Please don’t be upset about this.

>The Sault Flats outside of Handler’s Corners. After coming back from celebrating Violet’s Birthday and hers and Oracle’s graduation, me, Fox, Taro, and Vert came out here. Sheriff Johnson was busy with some stuff, so Vert said that it should be fine to race here. We watched Taro and Vert race each other in their cars, the Plymouth Road Runner and the Saber. Me and Fox were the finish line with the motorcycle that Max Modell let me borrow by now is mine when he gave it to me. After about 5 minutes, they came up.

VEROOM! CLICK!

It’s a photo finish!

>Taro and Vert come out of their cars and go to me and Fox where I took a picture of the finish. We look at the picture to see... it was a tie.

Close, but no dice, huh? That’s a bummer.

I just need a little more speed.

Maybe if you did a few modifications with the thrusters, you might be able to help the car deal with the Salt Flats’ more dryer terrain.

Taro and Vert: ...

Fox: I’ve done a bit of reading during our break back in Japan.

Joker: It’s true. My dad and Uncle Toby even taught him a few things.

Taro: That makes sense.

>I open the hood of Taro’s car and me and Fox take a good look. I also know a thing or two about cars thanks to reading books, all that time we were in New York, and from what my father taught me... Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to use my Third for a little help. I use it to take a look... and I have something.

Vert: (a bit surprised) Your Nitrox 2 Booster? You still have it? I thought you got rid of it after Tezla kicked the bucket.

Taro: Well, the secret of getting into Highway 35 may have died with him, but the formula for Nitrox 2 is still in Gig’s databank and Lani keeps sending them.

Vert: You and Lani are still in touch?

Taro: Yes. I still don’t see us getting back together anytime soon, we’re still good friends and gives us the Nitrox if I ask for it. I’m surprised you never talked to her after all these years.

Vert: I never had need to. After Dad convinced the Silencerz to let me go, I had to drop away from the others for their own safety and mine... But I guess the universe had other plans.

Taro: You mean these Sentients, Battle Keys, and Battles Zones that you and your new friends deal with?

Vert: Pretty much.

Taro: Well from what I can tell, it’s pretty safe now.

Vert: I’ll talk to Lani and the others when I’m ready. For now, I’m starting with the Teku. Looking at this things, sure brings back a lot of memories.

Taro: Sure does. We’ve come a long way since the World Race.

Fox: What was it like? The World Race and Highway 35? You make it sound similar to what Vert is doing. Besides, this happened around the time my mother died and now I’m curious.

>Taro and Vert begin telling us the story of the World Race on Highway 35 which turned out to be entrance to a series of other dimensions in which Dr. Peter Tezla arranged a race involving five teams: The Scorchers (in which Taro was the leader), the Wave Rippers (which Vert was the leader of), the Street Breed, the Road Beasts, and the Dune Ratz. At first Taro and Vert didn’t like each other, but eventually warmed up to each other. It also turned out that Dr. Tezla invented the race as a way to gain a treasure known as the Wheel of Power before an evil organization of robots known as Clyp could get it. The Wheel of Power was returned to its proper place. After two years, Taro and Vert left their teams to join others, Taro joined the Metal Maniacs and Vert joined the Teku. After going through a series of races, they defeated Clyp, but Vert was captured by a secret organization known as the Silencerz in which his father, Jack Wheeler, was a member of. He managed to convince the other Silencerz to let him go, but after that, Mr. Wheeler’s days as a Silencer were over. After that, they moved to Jack’s old hometown of Hander’s Corners in hopes of starting over. But then one day, Mr. Wheeler was caught in a Storm Shock and was sent into a Battle Zone which was created by an interdimensional race known as the Sentients. After some years, Vert ended in a Battle Zone himself the same way where he met the Blue Sentient Sage who gave him the Saber and they formed Battle Force Five. During their adventures to find the Battle Keys which are used enter the Battle Zones, they found Mr. Wheeler alive and well.

Joker: That’s sound like quite the story.

Vert: And it just keeps getting better. The Teku invited me back to help some new rookies with a new racing sport known as the Infinite Loop. I accepted it, mainly to help reconnect with the others.

Taro: I see. You’re getting just as much action as I am... If you call what happened in the past few years action.

Vert: Yeah, what have you been up to then?

Taro: If you’ve been online, you pretty much know what happened. Things with the Metal Maniacs didn’t work out, so I left and rejoined the Scorchers to get them back into shape... And for Thanksgiving, I find out I’m a dad.

Vert: (a bit surprised) A dad?

Hello.

Vert: Wow. You didn’t ask for support, did you?

Fox: I’m 19-years-old and I just finished my first year of college. I’m find and I’m already getting into making a living as an artist.

And I have someone special in my life.

>Me and Fox get together lovingly.

Vert: (happy) Right on.

Taro: I’m happy for you, Yusuke.

>We all look at the Nitrox 2.

Vert: You think we’ll ever race on Highway 35 again?

Taro: I know we will. Even though the secret of how to get there died with Tezla, we’ll find a way.

Vert: How? Believe it or not, me and the gang actually tried to open 35 ourselves. We thought maybe one of the Battle Keys could help take us at least close to there, but they only took us to the Battle Zones that’re connected to. Sage says that Sentient technology is much different than the Accelerons’.

Taro: So you’re no closer than we are. Me and the other Scorchers thought about using the Nitrox 2 since that how you usually get into that place. But since the destruction of Tezla’s Cube and his death, the formula alone isn’t enough.

Vert: Even the Acceledrome can’t help?

Taro: No. Lani says that unless we can find Tezla’s old research on Highway 35 and all that other stuff, there’s nothing they can do. But I know we’ll find someway. There will be another World Race in the future.

Joker: You know... you maybe right.

Taro: What do you mean?

Joker: I don’t know if it’ll work... But I think we can help.

Taro: (a bit surprised) Really?

Joker: Have you ever heard of W.E.B.?

Taro: The Worldwide Engineering Brigade? Yeah.

Fox: We have friends there who might be able to help. We even have a friend on Planet Arus who might be of some help as well.

Joker: And I’m sure our other friends in M.A.Y.H.E.M. would like to help, too.

Taro: Yeah, I can imagine some of those agents wanting to join in the race. You’d really help us?

Why not? We’re all friends here.

Taro: ... Thanks, Ren. And thanks, Yusuke.

Vert: Yes, thanks. Though, I hope you don’t mind I try to get Sage, Sherman, and Tezz in on all this. We might need their help.

Joker: I don’t see why not... But it’ll have to wait until after we’ve taken the sheriff’s heart.

Acceleracers Rant - Nolo Edition!

Okay- I’ve been thinking about Nolo A LOT lately. Especially since, according to the Acceleracers Wiki, Nolo and Tone were orphaned at a young age. This means that Tone has been taking care of Nolo since they were both pretty young- and if we’re going to continue to assume the Wiki is right, there was also a time when they were straight up just on the streets.

This honestly makes me think that after their parents passed, Tone was terrified that the Foster system would separate them, so he just did what he could to keep them together, even if that meant sleeping in his car for a few weeks before he could win enough street races to be able to afford steady housing for them. Nolo was probably still pretty young at the time too so I’m sure Tone was working hard to make sure that Nolo didn’t fully understand how bad their situation was.

Like, when Tone raced he was probably thinking “Damn, if I don’t win this, we might not eat tonight,” but to Nolo he was probably just like “Watch me smoke this guy, little bro!”

This makes Tone’s death hit 1000 times harder for me. Like this eighteen-year-old kid just watched his brother die in a firey explosion which I'm sure not only traumatized him but also left him without family. Sure, he has the Teku, but Nolo IDOLIZED his brother to the point where the thought of Tone messing up and crashing was unfathomable so he literally made up a nerative where Tork maliciously murdered his brother in cold blood.

ALSO if you think THATS sad- I just realized that the car that Tone is racing when he crashes in the flashbacks is SYNKRO!!! or at least it looks exactly like it. So that means Nolo took the wreckage from his brother’s fatal crash and spent countless hours rebuilding it from the ground up!! It EXPLODED and he rebuilt it!!! AHHHHH!!!

Taro Kitano - Taro is the mediator and is in charge of making sure the group is alive by the time they get to their destination. I love the Maniacs, but these idiots will pick a fight over the stupidest shit. Obviously they’re all friends, they’re welded, but when Porkchop starts snoring like a buzzsaw, and Wylde starts kicking his seat to get him to stop, someone HAS to step in. That’s why he’s also in charge of discreetly picking the seating arrangement. Before every trip he strategically packs everyone’s stuff in the van to where they basically have assigned seats if they want to easily reach their bags.

Tork Maddox - One of the drivers but due to his role as leader, he’s also in charge of planning the trip. Whether or not that plan is actually carried out exactly as written is anyone’s guess really. No matter what happens, he seems to always have a solution for it though. No gas station for miles and their tanks running low? Good thing he’s got one of those extra gas cans filled up. Someone (Wylde) in the back is getting cranky cause they haven’t eaten? Good thing he packed extra sandwiches because he knows how his guys get. Let it also be known that Tork WILL stop if he sees someone having car troubles and he thinks that they can help.

Monkey McClurg - Like Shirako, I feel like Monkey’s roll is pretty obvious. He’s the mechanic!!! Before every road trip, Monkey is elbow deep in whatever van like vehicle they’ve decided to fix up and make their own. From oil changes to tune ups, this guy is ON IT. Nevermind the fact that his tool bag takes up at least half a seat… Luckily, he’s a pretty scrawny guy so it doesn’t bother him too much. Even when he’s not working on the van he’s thinking of ways to make it better. Monkey is also the main guy Tork shoves forward when they stop to help a stranded driver. He’ll grumble about it, but he really does enjoy helping people out. Especially if the people they’re helping are attractive.

Porkchop Riggs - Porkchop is driver number two! Him and Tork switch off anytime the other needs a break. If it’s an overnighter, he’s usually on the night shift because of his aforementioned buzzsaw like snoring. Porkchop can sleep through a lot so when the musics on and the windows are rolled down you can almost tune him out in the daytime. His secondary job is planning their stops. I like to think that either Mama Chop or Papa Chop (or both) were truckers so this man has all the insider information on what stops to take and which are better left in the rear view mirror. He has never missed with his roadside diner selections either.

Mark Wylde - Road rage connoisseur. You ever have that friend that flips off asshole drivers for you? That’s Markie. It’s his favorite source of entertainment on long drives. He may not be the one driving, but he’ll be yelling out the window at people like he is. He is a classic shit starter. I love Mark to death, but genuinely, he will argue with anyone about anything. When he’s not being a little shit, however, he is an excellent source of endless entertainment. He’s somehow always able to keep a conversation going, and between his endless sarcasm and witty comebacks, it’s never dull.

Bonus Round

Doctor Tezla - Doctor Tezla travels with one person and one person alone…or should I say robot? No matter what, he’s always got his emotional support Gig with him. It also helps that Gig can simply connect to whatever car they take and essentially autopilot it all the way to their destination so that Tezla can continue working or catch up on some much needed sleep. Sometimes Gig will purposely make Tezla a decaf cup of coffee for the road so he’s more likely to pass out halfway through the drive.

Lani Tam - Okay so I may have lied… Doctor Tezla USED to only travel with Gig, but now that Lani has taken up a role at the Acceledrome, he’s hesitantly extended an invitation to her as well. Mainly because when they’re on the verge of a breakthrough, he doesn’t want lack of communication to be the reason he couldn’t reach the Accelerons quicker. Lani sorta loves autopilot Gig too- especially when Tezla inevitably passes out from prolonged sleep deprivation and she can catch up on reading or even do a little crochet. Lani is also the type to pick up souvenirs from wherever their destination is. It’s like Christmas when she gets back because she’s just handing out keychains, shot glasses, and T-shirts from wherever they visited.

Metal Maniacs

Taro Kitano - Taro has one of the best poker faces in the world. He’s impossible to read, and on top of that, he always seems to be able to pick up on everyone else’s tells. After an entire lifetime of stoicism, he’s learned that, in most cases, waiting and watching is a much better option than verbally bluffing out a hand. He enjoys Five Card, but his favorite is Texas Hold ‘Em. Other than poker, he’s a big fan of the game Sequence. He likes the mix between strategy and luck.

Tork Maddox - It’s not so much a party game, but Tork seems like the type of guy to really enjoy Pool. He used to make the Maniacs meet at the local dive bar for a couple rounds, but eventually they fixed up an old beat up one that they found at the junkyard. It’s definitely got some character, but now they don’t have to worry about assigning a designated driver. Plus, with all its dents and and scuffs, it fits in more with the Maniacs.

Monkey McClurg - Monkey plays Dungeons & Dragons. I will take no notes. But for real, could you imagine the Maniacs finding out he plays this big nerd game. I feel like they’d give him shit for it for at least a week, but when Monkeys all like ‘don’t knock it till you try it.’ He’s basically daring them to play. Of course, eventually they give in and he makes a big night out of it. Snacks, drinks, lighting, the works. He even helps them all make characters he thinks fit them the best. None of the Maniacs would admit it, but they all had fun that night.

Porkchop Riggs - With all the truck stops and diners he’s been to, Porkchop is a master at Checkers. When he was young, he would actually ask people to play with him while they waited for their food or for a shower room to open up. Because of this, he got really good at it at a decently young age. Y’all ever hear the saying, “they’re playing checkers, I’m playing chess.” That’s Pockchop accept he’s playing Checkers like Chess. Other than that, he also loves playing Go Fish!

Mark Wylde - Mark has a love hate relationship with Uno. There are times where he loves it, and there are times where it makes him want to pick up the chair he’s sitting on and lob it across the room because his dickhead brother just skipped his turn and stacked a plus four so now Mark has to pick up sixteen cards. However, when Kurt gets to Uno and Mark gets to give him the same treatment, he claims that Uno is the best game ever created. It’s a fine line he walks.

Bonus Round

Doctor Tezla - You think Tezla has time for games??? You think this stressed out mf has time for a nice round of checkers??? Who do you think you are????? That being said, Tezla cannot go a week without playing at least one game of Chess. It’s a good stress relief, and it keeps his mind sharp. He really only plays it with Gig, but Lani has since joined their little club too. Eventually, Tezla even asks Karma to join them.

Lani Tam - Despite playing Chess with Doctor Tezla, it’s not her favorite game. She mainly does it to pick his brain and see where his thoughts are for the day. Usually, his game reflects his current state of mind, which unfortunately, is almost always slightly unhinged. I feel like Lani’s favorite game would be Mafia. Specifically when people are getting way too into it and holding fake trials on who they think the Mafia members are. As much as she tries to unite the two teams in the Acceledrome, she loves the fake drama that comes with playing Mafia.

Nolo Pasaro - Baby’s first car meet!!! For real though, one of Nolo’s favorite core memories is the first time Tone lets him tag along to a street take over. If he didn’t love racing before, he certainly did after that. Between the music, the adrenaline, and the fact that Tone actually let him be in the car during a race, he had an absolute blast. One of his favorite parts was when the cops eventually showed up to shut everything down and Nolo practically had to dive into the passenger seat so that Tone could peel out and get them back home without getting busted. He keeps a polaroid from that night in his wallet.

Vert Wheeler - Watching Surf’s Up (2007). I’m kidding… mostly. A few summers ago, back before the World Race on Highway 35, Vert road what he refers to as the perfect wave. Before his mom’s passing, the Wheelers used to visit the beach every weekend. At the time, Vert was just starting to get the hang of standing up on the board while surfing. It was towards the end of the day, and Jack was calling him out of the water when Vert felt the pull of a decent sized wave forming up behind him. He’d been wiping out all day, but because it was his last run for the night, he figured he might as well give it a shot. That was the first time he ever surfed inside the barrel of a wave. The way the setting sun lit up the water on the inside of the curl still brings a smile to his face.

Shirako Takamoto - Shirako is 100% an audiophile. Before he had an IPod, or an MP3, or even a portable CD player, he had a shitty hand me down Walkman that his dad pawned from a local shop. It was for his birthday and he got it carefully wrapped up in some old newspapers. His mom would always let him borrow a few of their cassettes as long as he had done all of his schoolwork. Eventually, he got into making mixtapes when he saved up enough money to afford a dual cassette tape recorder. He’d stay up all night just to get some of his favorite songs from the radio recorded onto his newest mix. He still has that Walkman lying on his desk for when he needs a hit of nostalgia.

Kurt Wylde - I like to think that Kurt’s dad was who got both of the Wylde brothers into racing. Maybe he was a Grand Prix driver like Kurt was or maybe he was just a big car buff. Nevertheless, that’s how the boys bonded with their father. Everyday after school Kurt would either be working at his part time mechanic gig, fixing up his project car, or out pushing said project car to its limits on the track. He’ll never forget the first race he won. He’d driven a perfect line, and had only won by a hair, but the roar of his engine had drowned out the world. It was just him and the track. Every nerve ending was lit like a live wire as he crossed the finish line. By the time he realized he won, he was so tense he could have passed out, but he didn’t care. He’d won.

Karma Eiss - Karma always strives for perfection. It’s what makes her who she is. Unfortunately, that sharp edge she keeps also keeps people away. At best, she seemed unapproachable. At worst, people would assume that she was rude and judgmental. So, the day that Tone approaches her at a car meet and offers her a spot on his crew, she wasn’t exactly sure how to react. At first, she was apprehensive to the idea. She didn’t like hand outs, and she felt there was no reason to join his team. However, when he challenged her to a race promising her his car if he lost, she couldn’t help but accept. The only stipulation was that if he won, she would have to at least consider joining his crew. Tone wins the race after pulling a move Karma still believes should have ended up in a crash. She the Teku a week later.

Taro Kitano - Taro strikes me as the kind of guy who could fall asleep anywhere. Back a few years ago when he was still traveling around a lot he used to be a BIG camping gear geek. He hiked up Mount Everest twice in style. When he’s sleeping at home in his own bed he definitely has some nice silk sheets though. No one who ski’s down Mount Everest TWICE sleeps on shitty sheets. A few years ago he used to have a wild sleep schedule, but now that he’s joined the Metal Maniacs and not traveling around as much, he’s developed more healthy sleeping habits. Before he goes to bed, he turns the lights down and mainly uses scented candles to keep his room lit. It’s practical. Keeps his room smelling nice and warm light is better for nighttime.

Tork Maddox - Tork sleeps slightly propped up. At LEAST two pillows under him at all times. He also seems like the type to keep his room cold as fuck but have like three big flannel blankets to keep him warm. Tork SNORES. He straight up sounds like a grizzly bear. On top of that he usually falls asleep with the TV on. Occasionally, he has the sense of mind to turn it off or at least put it on mute, but after Tone’s passing, he is frequently plagued by nightmares. The TV helps, but what helps more is the fact that he gets into journaling. Even if he just writes down a sentence or two it helps.

Monkey McClurg - Not only does Monkey sleep walk, but he also sleep talks. He has had full on conversations with people while dead asleep and not remember a single thing the next morning. Porkchop once caught him fixing up his car at like three in the morning while babbling about some kind of new suspension system he wanted to implement. Usually all it takes to get him back to bed is to just tell him that he’s asleep, but sometimes he argues. It never lasts long though. When he does end up back in bed he’s usually there for the rest of the night.

Porkchop Riggs - Obviously we know he sleeps with a stuffed pig, but I raise you that he also sleeps with a flying pig night light. It was something Mama Chop got him after his father drowned. He was very prone to night terrors at that time. They’ve gotten better, but he’s just so used to sleeping with it now it feels wrong to take it out of the wall. Porkchop gets his best sleep when his window air conditioner unit kicks on. Something about the loud rattling and cool air reminds him of when he was a kid. Adversely he doesn’t sleep at all when it storms. It reminds him of the night he lost his father.

Markie Wylde - Mark sleeps curled up tight. At least one of his legs is tucked up towards his chest and he’s usually holding on tight to a pillow. He never sleeps with his back to the door. He also never sleeps around people he’s not 100% comfortable around. Mark always has a really hard time sleeping in beds that aren’t his own. He barely got any sleep the first week he was in prison, and when he got out, it was the same. It takes him at least three days now to acclimate to sleeping in places he’s unfamiliar with. When he does sleep he doesn’t really snore but he does make noise. Loud sniffles, grunts, and occasionally he’ll grind his teeth.

Bonus Round

Doctor Tezla - Idle hands are the devils work. There is so much to explore, so much to research, but there are also so few hours in the day. Gig quite literally has to force Tezla to go to sleep most days. He’s just so stressed about…well everything that it’s nearly impossible to fall asleep on his own. At first he tried general over the counter melatonin, but that proved to be less than effective so he got a prescription for something stronger. Gig reminds him to take it most nights, but occasionally Lani has to get involved, reminding him that he won’t be able to continue his work if he dies due to severe sleep deprivation. He’s stubborn, but not stupid.

Lani Tam - The shit that this poor woman has to deal with… When Lani decides it’s time for bed, she refuses to be disturbed. She drinks a nice hot tea with honey, reads a few chapters from a good book, and throws on a sleep mask before promptly passing out. Before any of that though she usually indulges in a scalding hot bath. If her skin isn’t a different shade by the time she gets out, she doesn’t want it. Occasionally, if she can’t sleep, she’ll fall asleep watching something that doesn’t take a whole lot of brain power. Something like Survivor or Hells Kitchen.
