Tag game time!!
Hello @ghooostbaby , thank you for the tag!!
Hope you are enjoying Till the End of the Moon, here I had a great time with it. Ugh, the ugly tears I shed!!
Last song: Salve Regina by Galina Grigorjeva
Currently Watching: Nothing, I'm saving myself for OFMD and TGCF.
Currently reading: Meadowlands by Louise Glück and moments ago I just finished this incredible Hualian Fic: ’Til our Compass Stands Still by the incredible writer (who is also here on Tumblr,) edenwolfie <333
Current obsession: I haven't had much of a free time, but, I have been embroidering for some hours/minutes every day the last 3 weeks (I guess I could call that obsession.) I have planned to do a series of Christmas tree ornaments inspired by tgcf, I don't promise to post them, but if they are decent, I might share them here.
Once again, thank you for the tag 💛
And now... tagging the last 10 people who left a note in this blog 🔥 🔥🔥 @ghostly-winteralo @tamakey @31duskballs @shikyo-chan @quilleth @rojaloca @icarus-suraki @t-misaki @lakeside-paradise @maria-taiwin

fuck it monday
@capseycartwright and @rewritetheending both tagged me for fuck it friday! I know it's not friday anymore, but in my defense I was in Barcelona over the weekend meeting some internet friends. However! This turned out well for me because as it happens, a recording of my choir's concert last thursday went up on youtube yesterday! I had no idea it was being filmed but I'm very happy about it nonetheless!
So if you want some background noise consisting of medieval music (Hildegard von Bingen, Guillame de Machaut's le Messe de Nostre Dame, Gregorio Allegri's Miserere Mei Deus) and some more modern music (Galina Grigorjeva and Arvo Pärt), look no further! If you only have time for one of the songs (the description has timestamps), I'd choose Miserere Mei Deus for the simple reason that you get to hear me as part of the solo quartet. 😁

No tags, obviously, but please do let me know what you think if you decide to listen, I thrive on feedback!

Galina Grigorjeva
Estonian composer Galina Grigorjeva is another discovery for which we have the Tallinn Music Week to thank. Having attended the festival earlier this year, returning with a new-found fascination with traditional Estonian choral music (as well as being utterly blown away by Motorama's chaotic live show), we are pleased to finally be able to express some of that new interest by featuring the hauntingly beautiful Nox Vitae by Grigorjeva.
Nox Vitae is written for the traditional mens' choir of Estonia, a local musical heritage continued in the historical techniques and practices of its ancestral beginnings. Here performed by the Eesti Rahvusmeeskoor, a 49-piece ensemble, its scale is breathtaking and the range powerfully broad. The breathy, whispered high tenor lines and multi-voiced unison bass and baritone, under Grigorjeva's direction can either form sweeping harmonies so beautiful that neck hairs start to raise, or chant thunderously with a chilling, unholy intensity.
We are unsure of the release specifics of Nox Vitae, but we certainly encourage listeners to keep an ear on Grigorjeva's work. Boundless and heart-stopping, the piece here is truly superb.
