Her corset—the stupid, cursed thing—pushed on her ribs so hard that the breath was sucked from her. This was why she mostly preferred tunics and pants. It was hard to breathe with the corset crushing her ribs. She had difficulty focusing on his face as she breathed in and out, in and out. She hated corsets. She hated the king.
