Tiaras of the future Queen Mary

I love a good list and @duchessofostergotlands requested one of the tiaras that Mary will wear as queen. As usual I had a lot to say.

Crown Jewels

Queen Caroline Amelie's Emerald Tiara

Denmark is unusual among modern monarchies in that they still have wearable jewelry in their crown jewels. There is a diamond set, a pearl and ruby set, and of course the beautiful emerald parure. This tiara cannot be taken outside of Denmark and is only worn by the queen. I really hope Mary wears it for her first official portrait as queen.

Major Tiaras: Non-Restricted

Princess Louise's Pearl Poiré Tiara

This tiara has only been worn by Queen Margrethe during her reign but previously was worn by crown princesses and princesses. It is a very important tiara but I wouldn't mind Queen Mary loaning this one occasionally to other people like Christian's future wife.

Queen Désirée's Ruby Parure Tiara

Queen Ingrid kept this tiara even after her husband passed and then left it to Crown Prince Frederik for his future wife so it was never worn by Queen Margrethe. I expect Crown Princes Mary will continue wearing this tiara for now as the parure was extensively remodeled to suit her. When Christian marries, she may decide to pass it on to his wife establishing it as the de facto crown princess tiara, keep wearing it herself, or ideally keep wearing it while also loaning it the future crown princess.

Minor Tiaras

We don't yet know how Queen Margrethe will handle passing on her jewelry. In other countries with recent abdications, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands still attends tiara events but Queen Paola of Belgium and Queen Sofia of Spain do not. If Margrethe decides to keep attending them she may hold on to some of these for a while.

Grand Duchess Louise of Baden's Palmette Tiara

This isn't my favorite tiara in the Danish vault because of the way it ends so abruptly instead of tapering off. Queen Mary's going to have to pull off some great tiara hair to cover that up.

Crown Princess Margaret's Turquoise Daisy Tiara

Queen Mary looks good in turquoise but I'm really looking forward to seeing this tiara on Princess Isabella and Princess Josephine.

Queen Ingrid's Floral Aigrette Tiara

I've loved the way Queen Margrethe played around with this tiara but I am looking forward to Queen Mary putting it back on a tiara frame like Queen Ingrid wore it.

Queen Margrethe's Naasut Tiara

Queen Margrethe was given this tiara by Greenland in 2012 and I have been waiting for day it is worn by Queen Mary. I think the delicate gold flowers are really going to look great against her dark hair.

Wedding Tiara

Queen Margrethe gave this tiara to Crown Princess Mary as a wedding gift and Mary later had optional pearls added.

Ruby & Spinel Necklace Tiara

Mary bought herself this tiara at an auction and debuted it 2015. I think it was a very smart move because it was only 8050 EUR (probably less than some of her gowns) and it will be a great piece for her children to wear in the future.

Every country and monarch handles jewelry a little differently. Queen Margrethe gave each of her daughters-in-law a tiara but did not share any of her tiaras with them. She did share with her nieces (the daughters of her two sisters) when her sisters didn't have enough tiaras to loan them for events. I would like to see the future King Frederik X and Queen Mary change how the jewelry is dispersed.

First of all they need to stop giving away jewelry. The mainline has already lost the Queen Alexandrine's Diamond Drop Tiara to the Countess of Frederiksborg and Princess Dagmar's Diamond Floral Tiara to Princess Marie. Those are both beautiful, versatile tiaras that would have served the family well in the future. In the previous generation, Princess Benedikte was given Queen Sofia's Star & Pearl Tiara and her Floral Birthday Tiara made from other jewelry and Queen Anne Marie was given Crown Princess Margaret's Khedive Tiara and her Antique Corsage Tiara made from other jewelry. There's no reason to give away tiaras anymore to people whose descendants will have little reason to wear them.

Then to make up for not giving away any jewelry there needs to be more sharing! I don't want to see the same person wear the same tiara to every event. Queen Mary will have the Emerald Tiara exclusively and then may choose to keep the Pearl Poiré Tiara and Ruby Parure Tiara to herself but everything else should be shared among her daughters, daughters-in-law, and other members of the extended Danish Royal Family. It would make things so much more interesting.

Traits: cunning, adept, clever

Whiskey appears to be from Kentucky, based on his American accent and where Statesman is based in the film.

Whiskey is against any mercy being shown to helping cure the people poisoned by Poppy's drugs, due to his own story of loss and grief due to drugs. His sweetheart/wife was killed whilst out grocery shopping by two meth addicts, who held up the store. She was also pregnant with his baby boy at the time.

Whiskey is a master marksman; he is adept and can shoot at moving targets with precision, barely missing. He can do tricks with his guns such as spinning them around his fingers.

Whiskey's whip/lasso can be turned electric and can cut through almost anything, including metal.

It is apparent throughout the movie that Whiskey harbors some sort of dislike for Ginger Ale. He has voted against her several times to become a field agent. This has never been explained or really explored in the film. Fan theories suggest it's because he is trying to protect her from being in the field due to what happened to his sweetheart/wife. Other theories suggest he is resentful that she couldn't help save his sweetheart/wife with the tech they have at Statesman; he later tells her that she didn't fix Galahad properly, hence why Galahad shot at him: "well I’m guessin’ you didn’t fix him right!" The real reason for Whiskey's distaste of her however, has been left open to interpretation. Later, after Whiskey's death, Ginger is promoted to an agent, and is, ironically, assigned Whiskey's code name.

Whiskey sees himself as a charmer with the ladies, telling Eggsy to "watch and learn, kid" when he attempts to smooth talk the target at the festival. He ultimately fails.

When we first meet Whiskey on screen, he is based in the New York office of Statesman, and is referred to as a senior agent by Champ, indicating Whiskey has been with Statesman for a long time and has plenty of experience and leadership skills, and is one of their best agents.

Hello everyone here to hear me yap! Below I am including all of the videos dnp have released in 2024, rated from my favorite to least favorite. PLEASE NOTE that I actually do love all of them! And this is just a silly thing! But feel free to discuss or send me asks with your opinions :)

I'll start from the bottom up.

10. i have a spicy confession...

This one was lots of fun (wtf is wrong with yall with these confessions) but I'm not gonna lie Phil felt incredibly off in it and like... really performative? Like idk something didn't feel right to me and although he said some really sweet things it felt... off somehow. Not sure how to describe it. Funny though lol

9. HONEYMOON IN JAPAN!

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW

It was a good video!! I just feel like it didn't have a lot of *those moments* that these other videos had idk. Like yes it was very sweet and a milestone for the sims universe but it kind of felt like that was it for me. The symbolism was inSANE but just strictly talking about the video itself yk. New pics released were nice though

8. Poppy Playtime Chapter 3

This one was a lot but it was SO nice to have such a long video- two hours long who??? That's tbh the reason this one goes above the honeymoon video- the length. The reason I put it lower is that although I am NOT complaining about the length, both of them were SUPER focused a lot of the time and not really talking much haha

7. Viewers Pick My Birthday Presents 2024

The only reason this one isn't higher is because all the ones above this I consider part of their *magnum opus* era. I loved the mini golden pig, the omatone, the shirt, and the Shrek smut. Always fun to see him surprised with cursed stuff loll

6. THE PUBLIC WOOHOO INCIDENT

Pretty self explanatory I think. Dan SCREAMING as Dab and Evan got it on made me actually piss myself. I can still hear it echoing in my head.

5. Phil's Birthday Livestream

Another case of "the only reason this isn't higher is because the ones above it are SO good." I loved the livestream, and was able to attend live for about the first hour. Such chaos. Such good. Amazing.

4. Dan and Phil Get Married, Have Kids, and Retire

Saw the notif while I was getting out of school and I literally snorted out loud, very embarrassing. They're just taking the piss at this point and I'm loving it. Phil's teasing him towards the end with "oh, I think I'll start another photo album!" GOLDEN. "Henry gives me that good dick." "Me and Susan have been rawdogging it." Amazing. Incredible.

3. Phil Pushes Dan's Button for 18 Minutes

A comfort video for REAL. When this came out I was SHOCKED that they had two BANGERS one right after another, but boy was I in for a surprise.

The slime? The slime on Dan's head while he's talking? Phil placing it on his forehead while he stares off into space? Hell yeah I want more of that slime I could look at it all day.

2. Who is the Real Daniel Howell?

Yall. We were fed GOOD today. Dan singing 'my lumps' absolutely DEADPAN while Phil looks at him in Awe? I WANT PHIL'S SWEATER IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME WHERE IT'S FROM I WILL BE GRATEFUL.

So? many shoulder touches? idk what that's about but i aint complaining ig

editing tips! *stuff* coming out your nose! etc!

This one had such a particular vibe to it- I think partially because it wasn't edited by the editor they've been using! To be clear - the editor has been doing a great job and I applaud them :) but sometimes it feels a bit over-edited, if you know what I mean? (For example the count-downs on the sims video going down the mountain felt a bit much) But having a video that was edited by Dan or Phil kinda hits different idk

WDAPTEO2024

I cannot, CANNOT say enough good things about this video. I cannot. I cannot. It holds my whole heart and soul and I have only rewatched it twice because I am trying to preserve the magic but GODDAMNIT I love their shenanigans. What a series.

I was very worried when they came out with this video STRAIGHT into 2024 because I was like, "WOW. that was amazing but idk how they're going to follow this up? will everything feel like a disappointment now that this masterpiece has come out?" (not that dnp uploading could ever be a disappointment, but I digress) BUT I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. Still though, wdapteo is 10/10 my fave so far.

I hope you enjoyed my yapping! I know many of you don't agree and that's okay lol, feel free to share your opinions if you so please ! And also with the ones that were lower ranked, the reasons I listed for the being lower ranked was NOT me complaining. Each video is different and awesome in their own right, this is just a ranking of how much I personally enjoyed each one!

My Review:

This was really cute. There was definitely instalove, or like, 'I just met you but you're perfect for me', but it was balanced with 'buuuuuut our families hate each other so I guess we have to sneak around' which is a dynamic that I really enjoy. Nazeli was so committed to her life in the tech world that she didn't see how unhappy it was making her and how it was constraining her. The weekend with her parents at the food convention, and with Vanya, opened her eyes to possibilities she hadn't considered. It was such a joy to watch her blossom and start to realize what horrible, horrible people her coworkers were. The family feud was absolutely hilarious and I found myself grinning as I read most of the book. I also flew through it in one day because I was so into it I couldn't stop. I also really love that as much as it finally ended up bringing the two families together, it brought Nazeli closer to her parents so they could finally appreciate each other and what each had to offer. I loved all of the Armenian Lebanese foods - they sounded absolutely delicious - and phrases and bits of culture that the author brought into this book. It really gave it that extra something that made it so much more engaging than your standard family feud book. Even the way Nazeli and Vanya's parents spoke and treated their daughters felt very authentic to immigrants to the US. I love when an author includes a different culture *and clearly knows what they're talking about.* The culture really permeates this book and you can't separate it out. I also love the way Taleen Voskuni wrote about San Francisco and Tech culture (which I am somewhat familiar with, and it was definitely recognizable) and also the way she wrote about Chicago. It made me want to explore Chicago when I'd previously had no desire to do so. I would absolutely read more about Nazeli and Vanya and their romance and their adventures with their families. I've had Sorry Bro on hold at my library for a while now - I actually hadn't realized this was written by the same author - so I'm excited to dive into that one now. *Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for providing an early copy for review.

anon darling, this is extremely cool!!!! i know a few of these, but not all of them, so i'm excited to give the rest a listen! BTTWS *AND* SYGB YOU WANT MY HEART TO BREAK?! 😭 no actually those are such beautiful choices, i would never have even thought of bttws and now i won't be able to think of anything else. sygb takes on a whole new significance for him as well (the holy orange bottles lyric...). i can absolutely hear him making those more gospel inspired. the front bottoms songs and golden hour are so perfect. i'm happy you mentioned softer melodic songs, there were some artists i didn't include because i wasn't sure if their music would make sense on the list, but you get it. plus imagining him doing more fun and bluesy ones, he had such a great time with those types of song. ("this sounds slightly insane," not in my world, not in the world i'm living in. we're insane together <3) i love these lyrics you chose too.

the very last song: "I kept runnin' for a soft place to fall /and I was runnin' far away/Would I run off the world someday?/But no, take me home/Take me home where I belong" makes me think of that line in the movie, he was runnin' from the day he was born...i'll be comin' home, wait for me...💙💙💙

Hi Bbloom! I sent in a request last night at 3:30am my time (I live in Australia) and it bothered me how vague it was. So I retract my request and I wanted to send a better one. I was wondering if I could participate in the exchange reading game with the question 'How would you be as a kpop idol' I was literally wondering what kind of idol I would be after seeing Key's Born to Shine performance for the first time 🥵 My initials are TK and my favourite emoji is 🥴. If it's okay I kind of wanted to use a similar format to another ask since I really loved how they put it together (shout out to @pjmnoir) Keywords: Dainty, serene, golden heart, nervous tears, fairytale romance, timid, talk show/games? neat/orderly hair, pearls, Huening Kai, judgement, freedom, ecstatic, lucky chances, knowledge in the unknown.

Concept: What I got was a sweet kind of soft vibe, like a soft hug on a sunny spring day. Despite having a friendly calm aura there would be a sense of maturity and elegance. I had a strong sense that your concept and videos would include some sense of nature, whether it be something like flowers, butterflies or being outdoors. I see more softer colours or if you did include darker colours they would have a sense of luminance to it. It's like a mix of sweet and gentle with fantasy and mature if that makes sense (you'll get a better idea when I mention your debut song).

You As a Member: In my other ask I touched on it but I think you'd be a well liked by a lot of people, even if they didn't know or stan your group. You have a nice open nature that would draw a lot of people to you, there is a sense of comfort that comes with you. You would have that cute peaceful nature to you but you also have a strong sense of maturity. You would be the every idol, loved by many, good at a lot things and just an all around good person. I don't think you would ever truly be in a scandal the worst is that someone twisted your words or misunderstood what you meant.

Generally you'd be like the sweet little sister of the kpop industry, a lot of people just love you. Similar how to they love Soobin, they're just grateful to have you around. You would make a lot of connections with the fans, I truly think you'd view your fans as actual friends. You would listen to them, give them advice and just be a comfort to them. I think fans would ship you with literally every idol because you just work so well with them. I don't think you'd set trends per-say but you would do some kind deeds that influence people to do the same kind deeds in their everyday lives. You are that perfect blend of being sexy and cute which people just adore. I see you speaking a lot so not like a host but later on in your career you have a podcast, youtube channel or a segment like Chan's room where you just get real with people.

Overall, you as a K-pop idol will open you up to new opportunities in life and you’ll get to meet professional musical legends who’ll applaud you and recognize your star talent and hard work. Along, the way you’ll finally disband like Wonho from Monsta X and be your own solo artist and rise to greater heights, finally free to experiment and touch on many subjects and genres, your fans will support you wholeheartedly in your decision and you’ll gain more fans from all over the world and more experience. You’ll probably have a YouTube channel where you upload covers of some songs or where you have jamming sessions with some other celebrities, I also see like some sort of Vlog, like you in a particular country touring around and stuff. You’ll feel so free and more comfortable not being constrained in a band.
