Guy likes cooking. He always has. It's easy. You have instructions, you follow them. There's enough repetition that it keeps his mind delightfully empty save for instructions.

And when his mind is empty, it frees up disk space for him to imagine and dream. He's been writing since he was a kid, and he's finally making headway. Cooking helps him work through plotholes.

Sometimes it means he over-mixes his batter, but his hands go on screensaver mode while his brain spins.

This time, however, his mind isn't on the sitcom he's been brewing in the back of his mind.

Because you're actually home from work early.

And it's always a sight to watch you doing your after-work decompression workout.

His hand around the rubber scraper is going in circles in the saucepan of dinner, but he's not looking at the au gratin potatoes. He's watching you do pushups in the living room.

"You know," you say, "if you take a picture, it will last a lot longer."

Guy jolts, your voice knocking him from his reverie.

"Well sure," he replies. "But pictures don't move—and a video wouldn't render the detail of watching those muscles roll under your skin." He purrs seductively—and jokingly. Earning him a scoff and eye-roll from you nonetheless.

"You're gonna burn the potatoes," you remark.

"I'm paying attention," Guy says defensively. Proving his point by tearing his gaze away from your backside to his saucepan of potatoes.

You snort and continue your decompression workout. "Sure you are," you retort.

Guy swears under his breath and scrapes at where some of the potatoes are nearly burned to the bottom of the pan. You smirk—your point proven—and push yourself to your feet. Catching Guy sneaking a peek out of the corner of his eye.

"Enjoying the view?" you ask sarcastically.

Guy—potato scraping finished—whirls, placing the back of his hand on his forehead. "Always, honey!" he exclaims. "You find me entranced and enraptured by your unique level of intermittent affection and unendingly attracted to your disgruntled expressions and sexy ass—"

"Guy!"

He blinks, blue-green eyes turning innocent in a heartbeat. "Yeah baby?"

You roll your eyes. Again. "You've got such a crass mouth, Guy."

Regret fills you the moment Guy's face splits into that smile that spells trouble. "Well, why don't you come do something about my crass mouth?"

You lift a brow. "You're supposed to be watching the potatoes so they don't scald to the bottom of the pot."

"I can do both!"

"I'm gonna go shower," you say. "I'll be back. Stay. Here."

"But what if I wanna join you in the shower?"

"Too bad. Chicken is in the oven and you're on potato duty." You move to leave the room—but Guy grabs your wrist.

"One kiss?" He turns big, pleading eyes on you, batting his lashes.

"One." You lean and press a kiss to his mouth.

He tries to deepen it, greedily grabbing for more, but you pull away.

"Nuh-uh. I'm going to go shower." You pull away and dodge out of the room.

"Honeeeeeyyyyy!" Guy complains.

You snort as you shut the door to the bathroom. "Daydream about me if you're that needy!" you call.

"I already did that all day!" Guy whines.

"Dinner first. Then we'll see." You twist the knob of the shower to get it to start to warm up.

"Fiiiiine."

Curious, what's wrong with the fanon version of II Taco to you? I saw it in the tags of one of ur posts and now it got me thinkingg, so might as well ask why it bugs you

Tbh it's much more like an general case to when people just downgrade a complex character to being just one thing/missing some important points for them that makes the character... you know, them. There's nothing wrong with the fanon, I just don't like it at all.

I'm all up for interpretations and headcanons but it has come to my attention that it happens to every character so like. It's not bad, it just rubs me in a bad way.

Like Taco is an incredible complex character and I do love it when people do content with her but I would say that it just bothers me sometimes how they just limit her to an joke??? Or miss the point of her character??? I might be an bitch but that's why. Again, everyone is allowed to have their own takes/interpretations of characters.

It's just that most of the interpretations I've seen made me go like "they would not fucking say that" but that's my own stuff and I really don't mind anymore. People are happy with their stuff and me too.

I ordered 2 of Daves books and im so fucking excited to read them!!! I also just read your oneshot and you talking about how Dave talked about that u-haul story in his book reminded me that im gonna get to read it !! i think its literally so fucked that they brought him on that trip just to make him go back like what the absolute hell were they thinkingg?! 😭 I also read a comment someone left on your oneshot where they said that James and Dave were basically the same with being a violent drunk. And I'm thinking that since James and Lars made Metallica together that he obviously couldn't kick James out, yk..? So Dave got the short end of that stick.

Omg Dave's books are so good! I really loved reading 'Mustaine' I've read it like 30 times by now lmao. I loved learning about how he felt at all the different points in his life and his career and how much certain things (no warning no second chance) impacted him.

The U-Haul trip is truly so fascinating to me like...why did y'all bring him!!! Should have left his ass home! I think he was in New York for like...a week? Maybe a little more? I'm not sure the exact time frame but they literally sent him right back home. So rude!!

Yeah I think when it came down to it James wasn't gonna like...fire himself lmao and Lars obviously likes James more than he liked Dave so Dave was just unfortunate in that way :(

im thinkingg maybe the universe wants me tsm. like ik the world does but the universe...

just ran into an old coworker in the store, awkward - i just walked quickly away from her lol and honestly she seemed like not all there which her daughter(!) once told me she'd struggled w substances in the past so. i hope she's doing really good seriously i Wish i couldve talked to her. we were kinda close when we worked together and i really liked her :(

extra unfortunate bc i seen her daughter like ... 🤔 a year 1/2 - 2 yrs ago .. at where she then worked (then as in.. when i knew her, she didnt work there, but then when i seen her, she did.. she still works there now - so hadda clarify that 'then'...) - sonic, and that interaction went horribly bc ofc! i couldnt talk ugh. then the drink i ordered wasn't available so i said 'u can just refund that pls if its not too hard' and what i meant by that was bc everywhere i worked managers always made a big deal abt refunding money n stuff like that so i was just saying i didnt want her to have to deal w anything annoying 😓 but i rmbr her face n it was so like shocked n confused n she just said 'ok' n turned around n walked away n then i never got refunded the $ so ig she thought i was being rude :( (which ofc makes more sense on her part due to my not talking) her prior job (when i knew her) was working as a cna so ig she thought i was implying that her current job was easier (or rather that her prev job was too hard) idk </3 anyways it was soooo silly and i actually think abt it way too often

now i'll be thinking abt her mom too (which i already did every now n then bc like i said we were friends buuut i mean in the context of an embarrassing encounter). UGH this family is haunting me.....

then smth else happened but honestly wasnt that big of a deal but it made me think abt what is a big deal-that idw to tell the story bc im embarrassed abt it. so silly n sad!

which leads me to. i need to kill shame like i need to. i am so so so tired of shame n embarrassment. mygosh i cant stand the feeling it's so sickening. even this is embarrassing.
