The Wonders of Valentine's Day (Or Whatever) - Lestappen fic

A couple of weeks ago, I got an ask saying I should write a Valentine's Day fic. At the time, I had no inspiration or motivation to write anything, whatsoever, and not being a fan of Valentine's Day myself didn't exactly bode well for the possibility.

But, then I started talking to @f1writingbyme about a potential idea, the whole thing spiraled, and this fic is the result of that. So thank you Ilse, for once again being my muse and inspiring me to write when nothing else could. ❤️

And to the anon who sent in this ask: I hope you won't be disappointed by this fic!

Summary: Max, having completely lost the ability to speak, just stares at the sight before him, eyes wide and mouth slightly open.

What the actual fuck?

“Hi?” Max phrases it like a question.

Charles grins at him.

“Hello,” he greets, and Max watches as the grin fades away as Charles’ gaze moves down Max’s body, one eyebrow lifting.

It’s only then Max realizes that he never put on pants after his shower, and is standing there in his bright orange Netherlands jersey and black boxers.

It takes every ounce of his willpower not to let the internal panic he’s currently experiencing show on his face.

OR: Max isn't a fan of Valentine's Day. Charles is a menace on a mission to change that. Naturally.

What A Bright Time (It's The Right Time) - A Lestappen Christmas fic

You didn't actually think I'd leave you without a Christmas fic, did you?

This whole thing came into existence because I wanted to write a Christmas karaoke fic after listening to way too many Christmas songs, and I'm a sucker for Christmas fics.

So, here it is - my silly little Lestappen Christmas gift to you!

Dedicated to the beautiful, wonderful @f1writingbyme, who pretty much watched me write at least 70% of this fic live by creeping in the document along the way. Thank you for being such an incredible friend to me at all times, and for always hyping me up whenever I try to write. You motivate me more than you'll ever know, and I love you. ❤️

Summary: “I still can’t believe Max agreed to lend his private jet to get everyone here,” Charles says to Lando and Pierre as they make their way into the elevator of the lavish apartment building that holds Lewis’ Monaco apartment.

“We know, Charles, you’ve said that ten times already,” Lando responds in exasperation. Charles sees the eye roll through the mirror in the elevator.

“It was a bet, Charles. And you know Max is a man of his word,” Pierre offers, pressing the button that will take them to the penthouse.

“I am aware of that, Pierre,” the Monégasque shoots back, earning him an elbow to the side from the Frenchman. “But I’m just saying, I never would have expected it.”

Lestappen fic collab SNEAK PEEK

The wonderful Ilse (@f1writingbyme) and myself have decided to try our hand at a little Lestappen fic collab.

It was supposed to be a short little thing that was born out of a very unserious conversation on WhatsApp, that has since spiraled and is now already at 10 000+ words. And we're nowhere near done yet.

To celebrate the fact that it's finally race weekend again, we wanted to share a little sneak peek with you to hopefully get you at least half as excited about it as we are.

How (Not) To Third Wheel Lestappen - Lestappen fic

This came into existence after yet another Whatsapp conversation between myself and Ilse (@f1writingbyme) following the qualifying session of the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix, where poor Lance found himself as Lestappen's third wheel.

It's a short little crack fic, but one we're quite pleased with. Hopefully you will find it as amusing as we did!

Summary:

Lance doesn’t know which of his emotions is more overpowering; the secondhand embarrassment he feels at how blatantly obvious they’re being, or the fact that watching Max and Charles in their own little world is actually kind of cute.

He realizes it’s the secondhand embarrassment as he watches Max shamelessly grin at James and proudly explain that he was just talking to Charles.

Lance has to resist the urge to roll his eyes, especially when he notices how Charles is quite literally the embodiment of the heart eyes emoji where he’s standing next to Max for his entire interview. And the beeline Charles makes for Max as soon as he hands the microphone to Lance after his P2 interview is even worse than the heart eyes.

He definitely should have been paying attention to that group chat, Jesus fucking Christ.

Ilse (@f1writingbyme) and I wrote another chapter, because how could we not following today's press conference with Max and Charles looking like they're on their honeymoon, and Esteban conveniently being sick, causing him to miss the press conference where he was meant to be in their group?

Also, seeing this post from the incredible @il-predestinato when the idea had already been cemented in our brains sealed the deal, and we just had to write something.

It's quite short, but hopefully it will bring you at least some of the same amount of joy as it brought us to write it!
