6. how did writing change you?Before I started really getting into writing, I didn’t really do much. I was in the process of moving out of a toxic home when I first discovered fanfiction/roleplaying. Shortly after that, I met @15thvullyraptor through it. Just that alone changed my life so much for the better, but the fandoms I’ve joined and the others who I’ve met through writing (including you!) have been such a wonderful thing for me.

8. what time are you most productive?

Really late at night, honestly. I have a fucked up sleep schedule, and am busy with my family during the day. Nighttime is perfect, since I’m more awake and can just sit by myself, with music playing, and write.

12. favorite place to writeI’d have to say either in my bed with a bunch of pillows, or out in the living room on the couch. Pretty much anywhere that’s warm, quiet, and comfy is perfect for me to get absorbed into writing, because I’m not focusing on my comfort level.

13. hardest character to writeHonestly, Raoul de Chagny. I love him to bits and I want to do Leroux’s version of him justice, but I always get so worried that I write him too much like ALW’s Raoul (overbearing/antagonistic/etc.) without meaning to do so as a side effect from my anti-Raoul days. I probably re-read his first chapter in The Phantom’s Lyricist twenty times before I settled on it…

22. favorite story you’ve ever writtenThat’s honestly a tie between Tale of Memories and Project G.A.D.E.S. I’ve put hours upon hours into both, as they’re both going to be fully published video games, and I’m really proud of them. I have so much lore and character development for both, and can’t wait until I can share it with everyone without the fear of theft.

23. least favorite story you’ve ever writtenOh boy, here we go… It was an AWFUL The Legend of Zelda OC x Canon fanfic with Vaati. As I said earlier, I first got into fanfiction during escaping a toxic home, so that type of relationship was what I thought was normal at the time. It was horribly out of character for Vaati as he was unknowingly portrayed as a sexist abuser. That, and the usual mess that comes with a 13 year old’s writing, like an overly perfect and undeveloped MC, “orbs”, authors notes inside the text, overly long-winded repetitive descriptions, etc. The fic no longer exists, I wiped all trace of it from the internet. Good riddance, I say.

24. favorite scene you’ve ever writtenAaaa this one is a tie again, so I’ll do one from each:For Gades, it’s a scene I’ve shared in an ask meme before. Layla Miller, one of the Resistance members, is fleeing from Verichem’s security guards. She escapes from a group of them, but finds herself being pursued by Dr. Groph. She hides in a room down one of the halls, having no other choice. Seth finds her and locks her in from the outside, grinning through the window sadistically. The game has plenty of gory, scary moments, but this is my favorite because it isn’t one of those. It isn’t about the torture or blood, it’s about the pure suspense of those things possibly awaiting your character but you having the chance of escaping them, and the realization that they’re inevitable sinking in once you see Seth’s face.For ToM, it’s a scene where one of the main characters, Keravel Bethron (who I’ve shared art of before), first becomes her fairytale persona “The Carmine Witch”. It’s amidst a heated confrontation with the Royal Guard, and she’s fully surrounded on all sides. She’s young, tired from being pursued, and doesn’t fully know what’s going on, clutching her staff and looking around at the soldiers in a panic. When one demands the others to “Seize the witch!” she breaks down into fury, red magic spiraling around her as she screams out,”You want a witch?! Fine!!” The magic bursts out from her, knocking every guard off their feet and covering the area in red smoke. When it clears, Keravel is wearing her “Carmine Witch” attire instead of her old dress. She runs away then, leaving the guards dumbfounded. It’s the first bit of backstory you get for the game’s most important character, and I love it.25. favorite line you’ve ever written“Memories are a way to keep close the things you love, that you’ve learned, that you never want to lose… There’s power in that- Magic in its purest form- but with Magic there’s always those who wish to take it for themselves.
