Kouzaki, Masaru
I’m!! Surprisingly satisfied with this name, haha. It’s not too different from the first name, but I think... it has a nice ring to it hehe (apologies for my terrible kanji writing my hands are shaking MASSIVELY).
Here’s the etymology:
光崎 consists of the kanji 光 (kou) “light, ray” and 崎 (zaki) “promontory, cape, spit”
冠 uses the nanori reading of the kanji 冠 (masaru) “crown, best, peerless”

School is just around the corner, but I... sort of want to make a post explaining the differences between commonly misidentified jellyfish.
While their Japanese names is a lot simpler to differentiate- but the English names are more misleading. And it makes me sad.
But um!! This is a teachable moment- and one that the Ite! characters would be perfect for using :). I’ve actually got two possibilities up rn ^-^.
First idea: The “Crown” Jellyfish, with the Cephea cephea and Atolla sp.
I’d be using Kiseki and Masaru to demonstrate the differences :)
Second idea: The “Fried Egg” Jellyfish, with the Phacellophora sp. and Cotylorhiza tuberculata
I’d be using Rankou and Helios to demonstrate the differences :)
