OKAY GOOFBALL'S TRUE FORM IS FINALLY FINISHED! It's based on thylacines, basilisk lizards, (male) king of saxony bird of paradise, draft horses, moths and dromaeosaurs! What a wacky chimera of a bunch of animals!

It have yellow, magenta and cyan stripes on its wings, fading to Charade Black where it meets the body. It have a bacteriophage-esque tail tip, which has a cyan ring marking, magenta claws and yellow stinger and claw tips. It's wearing a checkerboard scarf and a kandi bracelet in muted rainbow colours with a red and orange octahedron and blue hexagon charms attached to it. It is posed as if it is landing from a jump, both hind legs and its right front legs being in the air and it is looking behind it. /End ID)

Behold...

SPARKLEPARI!!

I got no ideas for names for it other than Nishmura, Vir or Goofball and it uses it/it's pronouns. I was also listening that one "You are an idiot" remix and I somehow managed to develop lore for it even though it's supposed to be a joke character and now I'm attached to it.

Basically, it's actually a computer virus that used to be common in a somewhat popular (but forgotten) now-deleted MMO. Basically, it acted similar to the 'You are an Idiot' virus, in that it just 'pranks' you by shutting the computer down after spamming it with a bunch of stuff. In fact, the only way you could get them to 'pop up' was by downloading a copy of the game that have it hiding within the file, especially ones from malware sites.

Since the MMO game was deleted and forgotten, it decided to choose the next best option to get into random people's computers and devices; The game Genshin Impact. Since they would definitely stand out a LOT if they were in its true form, they Decided to take the form of a pari to not stand out too much... unfortunately, it still stands out a lot.

Also it can shapeshift, and is actually pretty chill!

EDIT: It has a name now, it's now called Goofball Vir!

Hello everyone, I have a very random question:

What does one call any OC that's technically a fan character for a series, but not quite one at the same time? Like they're based off of a particular species from a series, but other than that they're completely original.

Good example of these are my oc Goofball Vir and my currently unnamed medieval/ Frankenplushie inspired chimera oc (who's a Pari/ thylacine/ deer/ bird/ shark combination btw). Both of them are based off of species from an existing series (Pari from Genshin Impact), but they're completely original and are completely separate to the general lore/ area of the game (Goofball being a sapient Computer virus that took on the form of a pari, and Unnamed Chimera potentially being a Mad Scientist's attempt at creating an artificial being).

Like I call them Semi-Fan characters, but is there an offical name for them? Feel free to show off your SFCs as well, since I am curious if there's any other ones.
