What a difference 36 years makes juxtaposition of Alfa Romeo 33 Giardinetta Ibrido, 1988 & Alfa Romeo Milano Ibrido, 2024. Stellantis have revealed the first ever fully electric Alfa Romeo. The Milano compact crossover will be available in full electric (ELETTRICA) and hybrid (IBRIDA) versions. The 33 Giardinetta Ibrido was an experimental series of 10 cars developed in cooperation with Ansaldo Energia. They combined Alfa's flat-4 engine with an electric motor and battery back to create a hybrid drivetrain. The Milano uses the Stellantis CMP2 platform shared with Opel/Vauxhall Mokka, Fiat 600, Peugeot 2008, and Jeep Avenger. Power for electric versions ranges from 156 to 240hp while the Ibrido hybrid offers 136hp

Drivers initially can choose from a Peugeot e-208 (the Peugeot e-208 was the #1 best-selling full electric vehicle in France in June) or an Opel Corsa-e, two fully electric models which have a WLTP driving range of more than 360 km, or they can choose a B-SUV such as an Opel Mokka-e.

P.S. In terms of price, with the subsidy, these are one of the most affordable electric cars and in terms of range, they are almost close to getting people over “range anxiety” problem. 

Currently in Latvia, the only psychological and practical issue that really slows down the introduction of electric cars is "charger anxiety": 2) where you can charge your e-car at a reasonable price if you don't have your own garage; 2) will charging work during a longer trip or will it not be busy for too long. Unfortunately, single unit, mostly 50 kWh chargers, at a single spot still dominate in Latvia. So, if two cars arrive at the charging point practically at the same time, then the trip with an electric car will be unnecessarily long... 

Tesla understands this problem best and immediately deployed 4 stalls at its first charging station in Rēzekne...
