With bitter energy emanating from his person, Alastor creeps along the corridors of the hotel sometime past the witching hour. It's early morning, for all intents and purposes, but still far too early for anyone - save for him, he's sure - to be up and about.

But he is without a desire to sleep. Not today.

Today, he festers somewhere in the hind part of his brain; where his memories remain under lock and key - where nostalgia threatens to wrench him to his knees. There is anger; there is sadness. And he knows not what to do with either.
