What is wrong with you guys?!

Context: Thomin’s Misfits, an adventuring party is looking for their wizard friend, Thomin, who is currently missing after summoning Iron Golems while trying to contact his missing wife (who may actually be dead). They broke into a room at Vited Inn while trying to find information about Thomin’s son, Rhylan, who was also at the unfortunate summoning event and who survived the resulting golem rampage. The party believes a local called Nonu is hiding Rhylan in a bag of holding while travelling and is currently holed up at Vited Inn. They also think Nonu believes that Rhylan is the reincarnation of her dead husband. Party’s bard had conjured an illusionary imp, hoping to distract local guards from party’s dragonborn’s antics which involved breaking down Nonu’s room door when she was out at the bathhouse and then jumping through a window. Local guards are interrogating party, trying to figure out why the party destroyed private property. 

Vanna (elven wizard who was a sheltered child): *cries*

Xansus (dragonborn barbarian): “I don’t trust guards”

Caesus (half elf bard): “That guard’s shot at the illusionary imp was amazing”

Gargosh (dwarven fighter): *refuses to talk*

Phoela (tiefling rogue): “I don’t trust Nonu because she has a big bag”

How Thomin’s Misfits got arrested for breaking and entering

Thomin’s Misfits were convinced Nonu, visitor-in-town was harboring Rhylan, a wanted elf, in her room. So they plotted to enter her room at Vited Inn by renting a room there and spying on her.

What ended up happening to Thomin’s Misfits:

Xansus, the brash Dragonborn barbarian, broke down Nonu’s room door when she had left for the bath house. 

Gargosh, the impressionable dwarf fighter and Phoela, the enterprising tiefling rogue, follows Xansus into Nonu’s room.

Nissa, a sensible gnome sorcerer, hung out at the bar downstairs and pretended not to know the party.

Inn keeper of Vited Inn calls the local guards after hearing a loud commotion upstairs.

Caeseus, the charming half-elf bard, is upstairs near the broken door and creates the illusion of a fire imp to distract any incoming guards.

Vanna, the party elf wizard who lead a very sheltered life, hides under a blanket in the party’s rented room.

A guard creeps up stairs, sees fire imp and shoots and arrow which goes right through the illusion.

Xansus realizes guard is here, tries to jump out the window, gets stuck and falls down into a sparse bush. 

More guards arrive. Party members are arrested.

Except Nissa. She sips her cocktail and watches everyone being taken away in manacles.
