Yeah this gets its own part... You guys I had no one to talk to about this for *checks calendar, does math* TWO WHOLE WEEKS! The last quarter of part 6 is below the cut...

Marta: I am so sorry

Keira: Please stop apologising for something you had no control over

Marta: Are you sure he didn’t hurt you? I felt like such a coward staying in here but…

Keira: Hey, sweetheart, it’s okay to be afraid of things

Marta: What do you know about being afraid carino

Keira: I’m scared of plenty of things. Heights… salamanders?

Marta: *laughs* You’re afraid of salamanders

Keira: They can drop their tails off and grow them back, it’s creepy. But seriously, when I saw you react to his voice I was afraid

Marta: He can be pretty threatening

Keira: You misunderstand. I wasn’t afraid of him, I was afraid for you

Marta: Me? Why?

Keira: When he yelled like that, it was like the real you shrank away. I’ve never seen you like that. I was terrified that it wouldn’t come back, that I’d lose you. That’s why I wanted you to stay in here. I couldn’t bear it if I lost you

Marta: Oh carino, I don’t want to lose you either

Keira: You mean the world to me. I was going to wait until after exams but, I can’t wait any longer

Keira gets down on one knee and places her hands on her heart

Marta: Are… are you asking what I think you’re asking

Keira: I want us to remember tonight for good reasons. Marta Romero, I love you with my whole heart. I want to build a life with you, and make sure you never feel small again. Will you make me the happiest sim alive and be my wife?

Marta stares down at the ring, almost in disbelief

Marta: You really mean it? You’re not just feeling sorry for me

Keira: No sweetheart. I want to spend my forever with you. Will you have me

Marta chokes, her eyes are beginning to get teary and she feels like her heart is about to burst.

Marta: Ye- yes. Yes!

Keira: You will?

Marta: Of course carino! Where did you hide this ring? You know I clean everywhere

Keira: James hid it for me

Marta: *laughs* so that’s why he was giving me so many love life lessons

Keira: I was sure he was going to give it away

Marta: I’m a fiancé now… I’m your fiancé! Oh carino we must get you a ring to

Keira: No big rush. For now it’s enough to see that ring on your finger and know you chose me

Marta: I do choose you

Marta jumps into Keira’s arms beaming

Marta: *sing song voice* we’re gonna get married, we’re gonna get married

Keira: I’m so glad you said yes. I know a romantic like you deserves such a better proposal-

New Goth Household: Chapter 3, Part 7

Following the engagement love is in the air for many a sim, and sim cats no matter how aloof they may be. The household discuss what will change for them next rotation.

Most of the household is sleeping, it’s technically exam day now. However Keira and Marta have yet to make it under the sheets, discussing the future.

Keira: We can’t stay in this house

Marta: He will be locked up for a little bit. We don’t have to leave your friends

Keira: They will still be my friends wherever we are. I’d feel better knowing we were somewhere he didn’t know about

Marta: That makes sense. That police officer did say he may cause trouble again

Keira: If we’re somewhere new we can build a life where you don’t have to be looking over your shoulder

Marta: How about San Sequoia?

Keira: Wherever you want sweetheart

Marta: Well, San Sequoia does have that wonderful Marine Life Centre. You could apply to work there

Keira: How are you thinking about me when we’re meant to be thinking about you

Marta: I want you to be happy just as much as you want me happy, get used to it carino, te amo

Milton wakes up to discover the tooth fairy has left him some money, as well as a certificate and a large sticker. Just what the wall of an expensive mansion needs. Joey sleeps in, he’s still fighting his burnout. The woohoo may have helped but that was before the trip to the police station. Marta happily helps herself to fruit salad for breakfast. She’s going to quit her job and find something new after her and *smiles* her fiancé move.

Marta is definitely in her happy place this morning. She cleans her bowl, fumbling and eventually dropping it in the sink. Through the chaos and the splashes she never stops smiling.

When James and Alexander arrive downstairs Marta greets them with an exaggerated wave of her hand.

James: You said yes then

Alexander: Who said yes to what

Marta: Keira asked me to marry her!

Alexander: Aww congratulations

Marta begins singing to herself again, another ditty about getting married.

James: I’m glad she finally asked, I was running out of places to hide that ring

Alexander: Wait, you knew and didn’t tell me

James: Love you wouldn’t have been able to keep it a secret

Alexander: I kept our affair secret for ages Mr previously married

Keira: Don’t worry, Joey didn’t know either

Marta: Buenos dias fiancé

Keira: Good morning to you! I’m so glad you’re doing okay this morning

Marta: I’m better than okay, I’m engaged!

Keira: *chuckles* I hadn’t noticed

Marta: When will you tell your parents

Keira: I’ll give mum a call before exams and she’ll spread the news. They’ll be happy, they love you

Marta looks sad for a moment before pulling herself back in to smiling

Keira: Is something wrong sweetheart

Marta: It’s just… apart from your friends, I have no one to tell anymore... but I’ll be okay carino

Keira stands and comes around the island, pulling Marta up.

Keira: Now I don’t sing anywhere near as well as you so bear with me

Marta: What are you doing

Keira: 🎶So kiss me under the mistletoe. Pour out the wine, let’s toast and pray for December snow🎵

Keira holds up a small bunch of mistletoe and beckons for Marta to finish the lyric

Marta: *laughs* 🎶I know there’s been pain this year but it’s time to let it go, next year you never know. But for now it's Winterfest🎵

The two share a kiss and part with Marta feeling a little better, singing always lifts her mood

Rather than stress abut his final exam, Alexander has chosen to workout. Gertrude comes to check on him and he happily talks to her. He’s an animal lover at heart and hopes in future their clan may involve more animals than cats. Especially cats that scratch bookshelves HAMLET. Upstairs James take time to indulge in one of his favourite activities, video gaming! Its not long however before Hamlet comes seeking attention and James switches to playing with a cat wand

Keira: Hey mum

Kayleigh: Oh I was hoping you would call. Good luck for your exams today

Keira: Thanks mum but I was actually calling to give you some news

Kayleigh: Family gossip? Lay it on me

Keira: *chuckles* I got arrested last night

Kayleigh: You’re calling on your cellphone so congratulations on your daring escape. Are you on the run? You need money?

Keira: No mum, they had to let me go. I kicked Marta’s ex’s ass but he was trespassing

Kayleigh: That’s wonderful! He definitely had it coming to him from what she’s told me

Keira: Tell me about it. Anyway it made me move some timelines around and I asked Marta to marry me. For some reason she said yes

Kayleigh: Oh darling that’s wonderful! I know you’ve always dreamed of finding the one. I’m so happy for you both. Give her my best wishes. I must go tell your dad, oh and I’ll need to call Reece, after Charlie obviously or he will call her! Go nail those final exams, I’ll get the word out

Keira: Thanks for being there for me mum, I love you

No big speech here. Just James and Gertrude becoming companions!

Derick: You kicked the burnout yet bro

Joey: Why do you think I’m watching sports

Derick: From what I’ve seen you’ve been playing your own sports

Joey: *laughs* that was a terrible euphemism

Derick: You know I killed it. Bring it in bro, two chicks in one go, you’re living the dream

Derick: Whatever. And how about Monica? I never pegged her for being up for something like that

James: How were the exams

Keira: I could barely keep my eyes open to be honest

Marta: But now you’re done with uni

Alexander: If we passed

James: Of course you did. You both worked very hard

Keira: The harbour really is beautiful

Marta: We could live nearby, in one of those townhouses maybe. Oh, or a rental with crazy neighbours

Keira: I think Liam is enough crazy for our lives

Marta: I got you something after work. I hope you like it carino

Keira: A ring!

Marta: If I get one, you get one. It’s just a placeholder cheap one though, I’ll get you a proper one for after we’re married

Keira: I love it. But if we’re giving gifts I better give you this

Marta: A rose! Just like I gave you before we were official

Keira: I know! I’m keeping that one forever. But this one is to say thank you for bringing me so much joy

Marta: Aww carino, you’re so sweet

The couple spend time strolling down the waterfront before resting at the tables beside the theatre. There they happily flirt and figure out what their life here might look like.

James: When will you move out

Keira: As soon as we find a place really

James: I hope I haven’t been a bad host

Marta: Not at all. You’ve been very generous, we just need to be safe

Alexander: Are you saying a cat eating on the table isn’t safe

The seated sims laugh.

Gertrude: *meows* Who me? I’m a knight I make things safe

Joey: I think it’s time for me to stretch my wings to. I’ve loved it here James, but you and Alexander need family space, or cat space

Alexander: Will you take up your sister’s offer to live with them in Del Sol Valley then

Joey: Not sure. I don’t know if my renegade shenanigans are compatible with her family life, either way I’m not going to be leaving tomorrow

So Joey heads upstairs to start making his first video game and Keira and Marta begin packing their belongings up.

Marta: Are you sure the glass won’t break

Keira: We basically have pockets with undetectable extension charms, they’ll be fine sweetheart The women head to bed, next time I play them will be in their own household.

Alexander: How was school today

Milton: It was okay. Me and Reynaldo talked voidcritters. I think he would call me his friend now. Can I use the computer to chat with him?

Alexander: Okay but remember, the watcher is watching

James and Alexander head out to the movies then come back and climb in bed together. Their household will be smaller next time, but will that leave room for James to have the child he wants?

New Goth Household: Chapter 3, Part 6

Joey has fun with Monica and Tuesday. Before they can leave however the house gets a most unwelcome visitor.

Content warning: Emotionally abusive ex and woohoo shenanigans

While Joey took the ladies upstairs the rest of the household was making use of the library. Milton and Reynaldo were playing with the dollhouse while Keira and Marta played some chess before bed. Bitten by the reading bug James picked another novel to start while Alexander settled in to reread one of his favourites.

If you do not care for Joey's woohoo life skip to the next bold bit. Nothing explicit is shown but the screenshots and words cover what is happening.

Unfortunately Joey is knocked down before he can get a word out.

Joey sits up, putting on his best unfazed attitude.

Joey: You need to LEAVE! I have not been with Marta but I know she’s happy in her new relationship away from a screw loose like YOU

Joey: Look dude, my pa’s a lawyer and-

Liam: He’s not here! MARTA I HOPE YOU TOOK ENOUGH PHOTOS OF THIS TWERP BECAUSE YOU WONT RECOGNISE HIM WHEN I’M FINISHED

Keira: Get AWAY from him

Liam: No, I think I’ll ruin his perfect teeth, stay out of it

Keira: What? Are you scared to fight a girl? Oh that’s right, you don’t hit girls. You just terrify, gaslight and isolate them

Liam: You've got a big mouth! Stay out of MY relationship or-

Keira: You don’t have a relationship with Marta. Not anymore

Liam: Who are you to tell me what to do

Keira: Nobody. Just the girl whose pixel parts Marta would rather smash than yours

Liam yells and charges at Keira, beginning an all out brawl. Joey picks himself up and moves away as Alexander arrives downstairs.

Alexander: Shouldn’t we stop her, she could get hurt?

Joey: Don’t be sexist bro. She’s level 10 fitness. I don’t think there’s any way she’s going to lose this fight

Alexander: James is calling the cops

Joey: And Marta?

Alexander: Her door is locked while this bozo is on the property

Joey: Good

Alexander: That really is a lot of dust

Joey: Yeah well Keira is a lot pissed off

Keira: The next time you think about harassing the girl I love, you remember this bruising

Liam: I think I have a concussion

Keira: boohoo for you

Amabel (a cop): Everybody FREEZE

Joey: Oh damn. Look Amabel, it’s this dude’s fault

Liam: She attacked me!

Keira: What?

Liam: I was invited over and she just went mental and now... I need medical attention!

Keira: That's a pack of lies

Amabel: You two get to come to the station with me where we’ll sort this out

Joey: Amabel come on, is that necessary

Amabel: If I don’t Joey it’ll look like I give special treatment to friends of guys I've slept with. I have no choice

Joey: The nerve of that guy pa. How can he claim she attacked him

Aaron: Clearly they are taking this seriously

Marta: Please Mr York, this is my fault. Please help her, she doesn’t deserve this

Aaron: Don’t worry. I’m prosecutor for the DA. I’ll outline the flimsy nature of the case they have

Alexander: Can you find out how he knew where she was

Aaron: I’ll try but his admitting that might be admitting guilt so he may not be inclined to answer. I’ll be back as soon as I can

Keira: Are you really arresting me? He came on to the property to go after my girlfriend

Liam: I was invited to pay an old flame a visit and this crazy chick jumped me, I think I have a concussion

Amabel: We’ll send a medical officer in but you’ll each be questioned

When Amabel leaves the lock up Liam turns to Keira with a sneer.

Liam: You may think you have her but Marta will ALWAYS be my girlfriend. No matter how fancy a house she hides in, I’ll get her back, we’ll see who’s mocking who then

Keira: How did you even find us

Liam: Nice society wedding you hosted. Made the papers, all those pictures. Standing behind the richest grooms in town was my Marta

Keira: Screw you you f-

Marta: This is my fault

Joey: Pretty sure it isn’t

Alexander: He’s right. It’s not your fault your ex hid his true self behind charm. He’s at fault, not you

After what seems like forever Aaron comes back with Marta and Amabel.

Marta: Carino! You’re okay?

Amabel: Mr York was right, the case is flimsy. We reviewed the surveillance footage you brought in Mr Goth and it seems Liam arrived at your house intending to cause harm

Marta: So we can go home?

Amabel: Word of warning, guys like this often don’t quit. He can cool his heels inside for a bit with this assault charge but it won’t be forever

Keira: Don’t worry Marta. I kicked his butt, and I can do it again. We’re in this together, I’ll help keep you safe

Marta: Te amo carino

Joey: Thank you so much pa, I know last time we caught up-

Aaron: Hey now, just because you decide to woohoo a girl in the middle of the club doesn’t mean you’re not my bambino. We’re family

Alexander: They didn’t process charges since they determined that idiot started it, but he'll get charged for assault

James: I don’t suppose we can make him stay away longer by charging him with trespassing

James: Apart from refusing to go to sleep in case no one came home, yeah grand

Alexander: Milton, you need to go to sleep

Milton: I know. I just wanted to make sure you were home. And you know... no one died

Milton looks crestfallen and Alexander wonders if he can cheer him up at all.

Alexander: That’s nice of you but if you don’t sleep the tooth fairy won’t come

Milton: Will they know to find me here? Because I would like a poster

James: Of course buddy, they'll know

New Goth Household: Chapter 3, Part 5

Keira and Marta discuss the jerk that is Marta's emotionally abusive ex. Milton tries to make a friend and Joey throws himself in to his work.

Keira: And by he we’re talking about the sorry excuse of a man that belittled you for years, right

Marta: Liam

Keira: I thought you said he was through pursuing you when he realised you were no longer afraid of him

Marta: I thought so. But he waltzed in and wanted me to make his coffee order. I mean I couldn’t say no, the boss was right there watching

Keira: Did he say anything else

Marta: That I make him crazy. That he misses me. I told him, I’m in love with a beautiful girl. His response was rather vulgar

Keira: That piece of trash

Marta: He never believed I was bisexual. Thought he could woohoo liking girls out of me

Keira: Please tell me you spat in his coffee

Marta: Carino I need this job, we need savings. We can’t live in that mansion forever and I want to be able to pay my own way with you

Keira: But-

Marta: He doesn’t know who you are or where we are, he can’t harass us beyond wanting crappy coffee.

Keira: I just want you safe

Marta: Whenever I’m with you Keira, I feel safe

Alexander: How was your first day of school

Milton: Okay I guess. Except when they asked me if my mum or dad were picking me up and I had to say neither

Alexander: I’ll call your teacher about it

Milton: Please don’t. I’m already the kid with no parents, I don’t want to be the kid who makes trouble

Alexander: If you’re sure

Milton: I am. Look I’m all finished with homework so I’m going to go to the library room

Alexander: You think he’s okay

James: It was always going to be tricky love, but I think he doesn’t seem too downcast

Joey: Wait- he just turned up like some stalker creep

Marta: I’m used to him pulling stupid stunts

Joey: But you haven’t been together in ages

Marta: He thinks he owns me, or owns my happiness

Keira: Yeah I don’t count as a partner because I’m a girl

Milton: Adults sound stupid

Joey: You’re telling me kid

Alexander: You get promoted yet

Joey: Even I’m not going to get promoted on my first day. The producer did have a flip out though, kept flinging me panicked emails, and I thought I was paranoid

James: Did you sort it

Joey: Oh yeah. I had to take some time off other tasks but I managed to make a programme to tackle all the issues. Even got praised in the afternoon meeting

Following dinner Alexander takes time to play with Milton and make sure he ends the day happy. James looks after the other youngsters, making sure the cats are content.

Alexander: I haven’t read anything but textbooks in ages

James: It’s always nice to slow down. Did Milton get to bed alright

Alexander: He was cracking jokes so I think he’s okay sweets

In their room Keira and Marta are having quite a passionate make out session.

Marta: You’re kissing pretty hard carino

Keira: Sorry, I just want to help you forget whatshisface

Marta: Ay dios mio, I can’t even remember his name

Keira: Good, we’re working

All the young adults take advantage of the home gym while James preps breakfast for everyone

James: Gertrude they did not order this with cat fur dressing

Joey: Can you see my muscles yet

Alexander: I guess

Joey: You seem crabby

Alexander: Milton’s still insisting on sharing a room. It makes it hard for me and James to...

Joey: Do something abut getting hard? You know you can just put him somewhere else

Alexander: He’s my brother, I’ve got to look after him

Alexander washes is dishes in the guest bathroom where James finds him.

James: You all caught up on homework

Alexander: Yes Mr Goth, I’ve finished my schoolwork

James: *chuckles* well Milton is at school, the cats are napping down here, our bedroom is pretty empty right now if you’re up for it

Alexander: I’m always up for it. It’s felt like forever since we’ve been together and I have been dreaming pixel part dreams

James: So glad I landed a younger man. Come on love

School only made Milton tense but afterwards he invited over classmate Reynaldo. The two set themselves up int the dining room battling voidcritters. Could Reynaldo be Milton’s first childhood friend? Unfortunately I did make it trickier to raise friendship so we’ll have to wait and see.

Alexander: Milton, come and eat

Milton: Just as soon as I win this battle

Reynaldo: Never!

Marta: Kids are so cute

Joey: Guess who got promoted! It’s ya boy Joey

Alexander: Still talking about yourself in the third person when you brag

Joey: It helps highlight my skills. I just demanded some challenges, took extra training and ta da! I’m now a project manager

Marta: Is that good?

Joey: It’s closer to the dream. Well the career dream, not the sleep with as many women as I can dream

Joey chose to work hard during his shift (seriously, I didn’t select it) so is feeling like he needs to stretch his creative skills. He starts knitting a new pair of socks upstairs while Marta checks out what drama is on TV. When Alexander is finished with his homework he joins them and they chatter away until Keira finally finishes her work. Joey is ending his knitting when he gets a hook up txt from Tuesday.

Tuesday: Congratulations on your promotion!

Joey: You here to congratulate me then?

The two head to Joey’s room where Tuesday takes a moment to chat before diving in.

Tuesday: You know how Monica has always fancied you

Joey: Really? But she’s less than attractive

Winterfest is certainly over so its time for a cat costume change. Hamlet gets a mysterious cape while Gertrude gets to be a lady knight, en garde! Joey tried to fit in some creative time to wipe away his threatening burnout before work but didn’t quite manage it. Fingers crossed he doesn’t overdo it today.

It may be raining but if you’re underwater it makes no difference. Keira has another day free of classes before her exams and takes the time to do some more diving. She gets a new underwater photo and cements her love of sea creatures.

Milton got another pop up about inviting Reynaldo over after school. He lost his first tooth during recess (one of his front oversized ones) and is not happy.

Milton: Why do we have to lose them anyway

Reynaldo: If you were an adult with kid sized teeth it’d be weird

Reynaldo: I think it’s kind of the same one over and over again until we become teens and they shift

Milton: Sounds logical to me

Keira has also been taking time to use the easel Kayleigh gave her and today finished her first masterpiece! Mum will be proud. Alexander is indulging in his culinary hobby again by making everyone mac and cheese. I know I don’t have hobbies installed right now but I’m going to keep playing like I do. Joey arrives home and yep, he’s experiencing burnout. Time to use a vacation day to unwind I think.

James is busy giving lessons on love to Marta and Keira when Alexander finishes cooking.

Joey: Man I feel rubbish

New Goth Household: Chapter 3, Part 4

It's time for Milton to turn 6 and become a proper child, I shall miss his little face 😭 We take a quick trip to the humor and hijinks festival, Joey prepares for his first day of real work

Marta: Buenos dias carino

Keira: You okay? You seemed restless last night

Marta: Just a few bad dreams

Keira: Was he in them

Marta: He’s only ever in the bad ones. Gertrude why are you up here

Keira: I think she’s trying to establish territory

Marta: I got to get to work, I’ll see you later, te amo

Keira: Bye, love you to

James: I can’t believe I forgot to make the cake

Alexander: Sweets you were busy with the grand meal yesterday

James: I know but Milton deserves a good birthday

Alexander: I still can’t believe Father Winter wouldn’t give him anything

James: I got so mad, needed cat time. Don’t you have a project you should be working on

Alexander: Not losing your memory yet I see

James: Go love. I have this under control

Once the cake is sorted James gives Hamlet some snuggles and the two become companions! Gertrude is aloof so winning her over will take longer. The doorbell rings and Cassandra is here!

Cassandra: They  were in grumpy moods this morning, I decided that if they were here they’d only ruin Milton’s day

The adults sit and talk in the library until Milton emerges for the day. He needed a long sleep after Father Winter was the biggest bully around screw that guy.

Six year old Milton is here! Is it just me or is it hard to find younger kid clothes in cas? Like most of them seem good for preteens but maybe it’s just me. Back to Milton, he has spun the geek trait. I swear it was not my choice despite the poll. He also has the slumber party animal aspiration and is a 1 star celeb? It must be from Mortimer dying as a 5 star celeb.

Black joins yellow and orange as his favourite colours. He rolled liking photography, telling jokes and talking about hobbies. Alexander and James got him some voidcritters.

Keira: Happy birthday

Milton: Thanks, what did you get me

Keira: Oh I haven’t-

Milton: Joking!

Alexander: I think your comedic timing needs some work

Hamlet: *meows* no kidding

The household, minus James who needs a nap after working out, head to the humor and hijinks festival.

Joey: Oi, there’s Morgan

Keira: The one who cheated on me, thank you for pointing her out

Joey: What if, and hear me out, I woohoo her. Like a revenge woohoo on your behalf. I need to get my count up

Keira: *sighs* You know she’s a lesbian right Joey

Morgan turns and walks off.

He looks over to his housemates who all seem to be having a good time. Figuring they’ll be happy here for a bit he decides to head home and see if Rita is still good for coming over.

Rita is indeed still keen to come over for Joey’s standard collection picture (I have a bad memory so this is just the best way for me to keep track of his count, he's not a complete sleeze, he doesn't score them or any creepy ick). Of course the photo session soon turns into something else as the two take advantage of having more space than the inside of a nightclub bathroom.

When the rest of the household returned from the festival James had finished being critically tired. Milton went straight up to bed while James and Marta chatted as Keira and Alexander finished off their homework. When all was done, everyone of consenting age in the household got lucky that night.

Joey: Thanks for coming so quickly

Tuesday: It’s 5am, you better have a good reason for needing this

(actually Tuesday was the one who contacted Joey requesting a hook up but I changed it around for story purposes)

Joey: My new job starts today and I really don’t want to get in any woohoo entanglements with coworkers. That’s just opening myself up to future harassment lawsuits when I make it big

Tuesday: Okay but I’ve got stuff to do to, so we better play in the shower

When Marta sits down to have her early breakfast she sees a new face across the table

Keira eats her breakfast quietly while Tuesday tells Marta all about various girl on girl woohoo techniques. She really wished she could just disappear from this conversation.

James: For the love of- Gertrude, did you tip the trash out again? Hamlet you have got to stop eating it

Joey: Trust me James, if I show up in a suit people wouldn’t believe I want to be a tech bro

Keira has a day without classes, and is all up to date on her homework and exam prep. She heads off to Sulani and spends some time snorkelling among the reefs. She does love how all the fish seem to have their own patterns. She’s thinking marine biology could be a good field to get in to.

After some time she seeks out deeper waters and purchases some dive gear. For now she can afford a rebreather, a dive knife and an underwater camera. Heading below the surface she enjoys seeing bigger creatures, as well as more variety. She manages to capture a photo for her wall. It may be normal quality but she thinks it’s beautiful.

As she swims she thinks. Tuesday was so open and candid about her woohoo life. Marta seemed interested in what she had to say to. Maybe she is a prude if she doesn’t like discussing her woohoo life with anyone but Marta. But does Marta mind that? She knows Marta is naturally curious, so are they properly compatible?

Keira decides to go meet Marta at the end of her shift and suggests they talk.

Marta: Are you all right carino, you look upset

Keira: It’s just Tuesday. She was saying such explicit things and I worry I’m not adventurous enough for you

Marta: Surely you’re interested in how to increase our pleasure

Keira: Well sure but I'd rather have those discussions with just you

New Goth Household: Chapter 3, Part 3

Alexander, James and Milton have Cassandra, Rahul, Savannah and Mercedes visit for Winterfest. Father Winter becomes my enemy due to his autonomous actions, and Joey scores a hook up only to be interrupted.

Lunch time! Or sippy cup time because I didn’t have time to precook the grand meal. Alexander makes sure every toddler is in a high chair. I make sure to disable pick up for each chair. Alexander dishes out juice to the little ones. Good teamwork!

James: I know it’s a bit late but shall we try for a turkey anyway

Cassandra: It’ll probably fail spectacularly

James: A gloomy sim after my own heart

Cassandra: Rahul, want to pitch in here

Rahul: Go team

Cassandra: So much for being a foodie

Rahul: I can oversee things

James: We have plenty of bench space, get stuck in

Alexander is in fact on his way to ask Hamlet to stop scratching the furniture to pieces. Hamlet doesn’t listen.

James: Here we go, the roast beast! Everyone dig in

Cassandra: I’ll get you a plate after your sister

Cassandra: We’ve talked about your behaviour today little ladybug

Savannah: He small for uncle, he cousin

Rahul: No honeybee, he’s your uncle

Alexander: We just let him call James uncle because it’s got a nice ring to it

Milton: My brother Alexander married to uncle James! I not have mummy... but have family still

After lunch became an early dinner the Chopra’s head back to Henford-on-Bagley. Alexander does the dishes since James cooked. Milton is exhausted and has a nap on the couch to wait for Father Winter. James is feeling a bit worn out so he takes time to check in with his furbabies. Hamlet and Gertrude are both doing well after the visitors.

*sleigh bells*

Milton: What? What happening? Is it…

Father Winter: oh h oho, I’ll just top up this gift pile

James: You arrived! I’m sure Milton is on your good list

Father Winter: He isn’t

Milton: *panics* I... I on bad list

James: There must be a mistake

Father Winter: He isn’t on my lists full stop. If he’s not on my lists, he gets nothing

James: You can’t be-

Father Winter: Now where is that Joey

Father Winter: It’s you

Joey: Do I know you dude

Father Winter: I’m glad you’re doing so well, keep it up and there will be even more gifts next year

Father Winter: I thought you were downstairs

James: You didn’t let me finish talking earlier

Father Winter: I was done and I have many houses to visit

James: Milton has had a rough time. His father passed away after his mother disappeared. Surely you can find it in your heart to give him a gift

Father Winter: Look, he’s not on the list for celebrating Winterfest

Milton: *through sobs* I... celebrate. I- I have... elf-fit

Father Winter: My hands are tied, no Winterfest holiday spawned, no ask for gift interaction. I don’t make the rules

James: Of course not, you just enforce the glitches. You know what? Get out of our house, right now!

Milton: Thank you for trying Uncle James *blows kiss*

James: Aww, you’re welcome buddy. Now how about we forget mean Father Winter and think about your birthday tomorrow

Milton: It tomorrow?

James: You bet. Remember how old you’ll be

Alexander is reading to Milton and James is watching when Hamlet comes racing in to the room, meowing at the top of his lungs

James: What’s wrong baby

Hamlet: *yowls*

James: No I’m quite sure he’s left by now

Father Winter emerges from the bathroom and nonchalantly strolls through the bedroom. It takes all my self control to not smite him down but my sims don't need the sad moodlets.

James: Were you being a brave guard cat? I think you were baby

Hamlet: *meows affectionately*

Joey checks the mix and mingle app and finds a woman who also just wants to hook up. Rita Rose suggests they meet at a club in Windenburg and Joey eagerly agrees. He is a bro and what’s better than juice, dancing and woohoo.

Joey: You did not give a fake profile picture, you look amazing

Rita: Aww, just wait until you see me with my clothes off

Joey: Are we dancing first

Rita: If you don’t mind, I haven’t been to a club in ages

Joey: Na, I’m a fan of foreplay that's not romantic fuddy duddy

So the two of them head inside, grab some juice and move to the beat the DJ blasts. The juice emboldens them and they get quite handsy on the dancefloor, Rita moves her hands below Joey’s hips a lot.

Joey likes the sound of that and pulls Rita close, his hands roaming her freely. He is in the midst of a deep kiss when a noise breaks through his tippy turned-on stupor.

Aaron: Meeting a CI on a particularly tricky case. What do you think you’re doing?

The two spend a heck of a lot of time in the bathroom but both end pleasantly satisfied

Joey: Would you mind swinging by this week

Joey tries to get lucky at the romance festival despite not having any romantic feelings ever, and Alexander and James manage some alone time. Then Winterfest begins!

We’re back and Joey is throwing ornaments at the tree with reckless abandon in an effort to… place the tree skirt?

James: What are you doing

Joey: Helping before I jet to the romance festival

James: I thought you were… sorry I’m trying to learn the right words. Aromantic?

Joey: Correct bro. But you know what the romance festival has? Dolled up chicks ready to meet me. Catch you on the flip

James: What do you think he means Gertrude? The flip of what? Honestly those bro sims

Gertrude: *meows in agreement*

Joey arrives and the few sims who showed are not properly dressed. Better fix that. Don’t want another Jacob Volkov situation.

Joey: No girl is going to wear a skirt in this

Joey: Oh hey, are you open

Milton: Will Father Winter really come tomorrow

Alexander: I’m sure you have but Milton… I don’t think Father Winter can deliver people

Milton sighs sadly and looks over at the photos of Bella that Dina was only too happy to let him have.

Alexander: Someday, somehow Milton, we’re going to figure out what happened

A few more minutes of reading and Milton drifts off. James has been busy in the corner cuddling the cats within an inch of their nine lives.

Alexander: I can see you’re taking good care of the babies

James: Yes Hamlet, you’re my baby, aren’t you? Aren’t you?

Alexander: I’m so glad they make you smile, even if they are troublemakers

James: Some of the best people are troublemakers. My favourite person is actually a homewrecker

Alexander: *laughs* Oh is he

James: Yep. I was married and he swept in and seduced me

Alexander: What a git

James: *laughs* I guess the bed is out for tonight but the shower still has plenty of space away from tiny ears

Alexander: Just don’t slip and hurt yourself sweets

The two head for the bathroom, lock the door, and have some precious alone time.

In the bedroom Gertrude snores away but Hamlet is bored. The poor boy hasn’t been hugged in 10 whole minutes and breaks into an opera about the tragedy that is his life living in a mansion. Unsurprisingly this wakes Milton up, but to be fair he hates sleep time so probably would have woken up soon enough anyway.

Milton: Don’t cry Hamlet, I right here

Milton picks a book out and begins to read to Hamlet who settles on the bed. When James and Alexander are both satisfied they make sure to get dressed before heading out of the bathroom, just in case.

Alexander: What are you doing up

Milton: Hamlet sad so I read story for cheer up

Alexander: That’s very kind of you but Hamlet is dramatic and it’s past your bedtime. Come on, time to sleep

Milton pushes himself up, deliberately going... as slow... as... he... can.

Alexander tucks Milton in and then heads to bed. The next time Milton wakes up it’s not Hamlet’s fault, see, he’s got a scratching post alibi. Milton just needs to use the potty. Downstairs it seems that Gertrude has again decided to knock out the trash and play in it at a time when there’s no one to tell her off. Clever girl. When Milton returns he needs to shoo Hamlet off before he can get back in.

Winterfest is upon us! Marta wakes up first, she’s used to being up early for her barista shifts. She takes some time to wish her family a merry Winterfest, and hopes they’re happy in the timeless save.

Keira: Have you ever slept in

Marta: Sorry carino, just feeling nostalgic

Keira: I’m sorry I never got to meet them

Marta: You’ll meet them one day, and I’ll see them again

Keira: I hope I’m good enough

Marta: Carino what am I always saying, do not talk yourself down. Now, come back to bed and I’ll show you how wonderful you are

Keira: Aww, it’s not finished, Milton will be so sad

Marta: You have two hands do you not? We can finish it

Keira: I suppose all it needs is some ornaments and a topper

Marta: There, hardly any time at all

Keira: Should we light it

Marta: James was wanting to wait for the toddlers to all be here

The first to make it their family Winterfest gathering is Joey who heads to Tartosa. After a quick family photo he spends some time catching up and exchanging gifts.

Second stop for Winterfest is the Foster gathering in Sulani. Reece somehow cons Samir into wearing matching paired shirts and Clover gets lots of attention. Keira and Samir click over their mutual distrust of strangers and of course Carson and Reece poke fun at each other.

And finally the Misters Goth have their family lunch. Milton tries to share the love with Savannah but she is not interested in getting along just right now. Seriously he can’t say anything to her in the friendly or funny categories? She can talk so not sure why they can’t communicate toddler to toddler

You get a gift, and you get a gift, and you get a gift! Everyone gets a gift! Alexander got some upgrade parts, James got a new PC and Milton got his first voidcritter card. Then everyone gathers for that magic moment, the lighting of the tree (yes I forgot to do it earlier, we’re rolling with it people)

New Goth Household: Chapter 3, Part 1

In this part Milton struggles with nightmares, the household discuss their Winterfest plans and there are cats eating on the table... Sorry if there are typos in here, I'm setting it up while watching a livestream of a cat birth way past when I'm normally awake.

Back to Willow Creek for the holidays! I love how beautiful this lot looks when it snows. The Halloween decorations have been exchanged for some light up snowmen and inside some Winterfest wreaths have been hung. How awesome is it that this household (which includes a toddler) got spun for Winterfest! I’m not sure how much story will actually go on this chapter as my brain has trouble handling so many sims at once but I’ll give it my best shot.

Joey is still here for now. He finished his computer science degree last rotation. Well, technically he failed the last course due to a bug that stops my sims progressing with their uni coursework but luckily for me cheats helped me get him his deserved grade. He took the time to do homework, did an excellent presentation and took notes every class so there’s no way he did not deserve to pass.

Keira is in her final year of university, that biology degree will be complete in no time. Her girlfriend Marta works as a barista and spends time practicing on the piano outside their room. I have doubled the delay in skill building as it doesn’t make sense to me how some of my YA’s can have level 10 anything so we will see how that goes. Also, against my better judgement, I have increased how hard it is to build and maintain relationships as some of my sims maintain a full relationship bar by calling each other once a week. It’s helpful but probably not too realistic.

And in the newly renovated third floor we have Gertrude and Hamlet. Hamlet is no longer a kitten but a young cat. Also I swear I’m a responsible pet owner and Gertrude is spayed, I don’t know why she’s still making calls of love to the universe…

Newlyweds Alexander and James are adjusting to Alexander’s youngest brother Milton living with them. They tried offering him his own room but it didn’t take. After the death of his father and the disappearance of his mother Milton wanted to sleep where he could see Alexander. He is understandably having a few nightmares. It might make it difficult for the couple to have any kind of woohoo life but both Alexander and James are determined to put Milton first.

Sure enough Milton wakes up early and distressed. Climbing out of bed he bursts into tears, waking the slumbering couple.

Milton: Father dead! Mummy is dead! I’m dead! *wails*

James: It’s alright Milton, you’re safe now

Milton: I a flat pancake *wails*

Alexander: I’m coming buddy. Tell me what happened

Milton: Rock that killed daddy fell again and killed mummy

Alexander: It was just a dream Milton, we don’t know that she’s dead

Milton: Then rock roll to me and I try run but I not fast and rock squish me flat. I dead!

James: That sounds rather terrifying

Alexander: You’re awake now Milton. You’re alive, you’re safe. How about some breakfast huh

Milton: I... I can has cereal?

Alexander: Of course

Alexander scoops up his brother to carry him down the two flights of stairs.

Milton: Silas at daycare say he best brother but you best brother

Alexander: *laughs* You’re pretty good to buddy

Joey: So glad the watcher decided to give us a thermostat

James: I’m pretty sure I decided that

Joey: Sure. And you decided to rip out all your fireplaces for fun

Keira: I don’t mind, I’m still afraid of fire

Joey: Because now, we live in a green neighbourhood, go us!

Marta: A what

Alexander: He means it’s clean

Marta: Why not just say clean then. You simlish speakers

Alexander: I’m so hungry. I can’t wait to-

Hamlet: *meows* what’s this

James: Hamlet you really shouldn’t be on the table

Hamlet: *meows* bite me dad

Alexander: Okay I’m starving, why does he have to rub eating in my face

Marta: Why is he eating human food? Do you not feed him. As if it wasn’t bad enough that he wakes us up through walls

James: We have several bowls and litter trays all over the place

Alexander: Hamlet, leave some for me!

Milton tucks into his cereal happily eating the nightmares away. Keira begins her homework while Alexander manages to wrestle a plate of fruit salad from Hamlet.

James: Hamlet you really should not eat human food. It’ll mess up your insides

Hamlet: *hisses* Fight me

Marta: Any Winterfest plans

Joey: I’ll probably head to Tartosa, spend time with my parents

Marta: Keira was thinking we would visit her family too, spend some time in the sun

Milton: We have guests and presents

Alexander: That’s right. Cassandra and Rahul are going to visit with their kids

Milton: Savannah meanine

Alexander: She’s spirited Milton, just remember you’re older

Marta: I might see if there’s any odd jobs I can swing today. I told them I could cover weekends but that hasn’t worked out

Keira: Their loss

Marta: Thanks carino, good luck with the homework. Remember, almost done

Alexander: I need to start on mine but I have to get rid of this awful goatee first

Keira: Oh it is you. I thought it was a sasquatch using your voice

Milton: Sass- sass… sass catch

Gertrude jumps on the table and begins to eat.

Alexander: What the heck. Gertrude, you’re meant to be the older responsible one

Gertrude looks at him and pats the fruit salad questioningly

Alexander: Food is not a toy

Milton: *babbles to self about toys*

James: You all finished eating

Milton: Cereal good and Joey snuck me juice

James: Of course he did

Milton: What we do today uncle James

James: Well we need to get ready for Winterfest but you’re a bit small to help with that. How about a nice hot bath

Milton: With… bubbles?

James: *laughs* bubble bath it is. Up we go mate

It was here that I completely gave up battling the action queue cancelling and had my run of testing mods. Bjorn was super excited to help (not). But back to the actual stars of this story. Alexander began to shave off the goatee while Marta did daily yoga. Joey heard back from the job agency and he scored a role as an Ace Engineer in the Tech Guru path. Since he wants to be a start-up genius rolling in simoleons when not rolling in the ladies he gets to work polishing off his mobile app.

Milton has a wonderful time splashing in the bath. I can’t really see the bubbles but the moodlets assure me they are there. When he’s chucked a decent amount of water from the tub James gets him out and into his day clothes. Milton uses the potty since he’s near it while James works on cleaning up all the bathtub overflow.

Milton: Good kitty cat, good kitty

James: Hey Milton, do you want to go play? I need to do more cleaning

Milton: By Alexander please

James: I think he’s in the library working on his project

Milton: Can I have lift uncle James

James: I suppose your legs are still very short. Okay, hold on tight

Milton: *giggles*

James: Special delivery, one prince of the bubble bath

Alexander: You do make a great parent sweets

Milton: Alexander play?

Alexander: I’m a bit busy now buddy, maybe later. I’m sure someone will have time though

Gertrude takes the time to sharpen her claws on an especially plump ottoman while Milton decides to have a play with the toy cars.

James: And what do you think you’re doing

Gertrude: *meows* who me? Being a cat

James: There is a lot of old furniture in this house Gerty, we can’t just tear it all to shreds

Gertrude: *meows* pretty sure I can actually

James: Now where has Hamlet run off to

James finds Hamlet in the downstairs bathroom and negotiates him leaving the room so he can vacuum up the puddles from the broken sink. Hamlet begrudgingly agrees.

Marta: Hey tesorito, you doing okay

Milton: Want to learn more before birthday

Marta: Oh, I can help with that. Shall we go over your numbers

Milton: Flashcards? Flashcards!

Marta: I can see you’re excited. Okay, what’s this one

Milton thinks and tries to peer around to the back of the card

Marta: Hey, no peeking

Milton: Mummy let me

Marta: Oh I doubt that very much

Alexander tends to his homework after doing a draft of his presentation. Following a workout Keira goes to find Marta.

Keira: What do we have here

Marta: Cheating

Milton: I not cheat

Gertrude: *meows* he would if he could

Keira: You can’t learn if you cheat and peek buddy

Milton: Oh, I want to learn... so maybe I not peek

Having enough of flashcards for now Milton heads to the dollhouse but he doesn’t want to play alone. Keira joins him and the two make up a life for the doll characters. Milton can’t old back his love of books forever though and soon asks Keira for a story. She gets one and begins to read but Milton is so excited to hear it that he won’t even sit down.
