do you have any moisturizer recs? I’ve wanted to try out asian beauty products but I’m not sure where to start obviously this is based on skin type but do you have any brands you like?

i’d recommend browsing reddit r/asianbeauty which is now off private again. also throwing in a plug for r/skincareaddiction for good measure.

my personal favorite moisturizers are etude’s soon jung line. i layer the emulsion, cica balm, and then the 2x barrier cream on top. also my personal all time favorite is their sleeping pack but it’s discontinued now so i’m still on the hunt for a super moisturizing super occlusive non-greasy and oil free balm type moisturizer i can use at night 😭 i can’t believe they discontinued it 😭😭😭😭😭

for daytime i really like the soon jung x director’s moisture sun cream, which feels very light and moisturizing but not greasy at all. my skin is slightly dry so it’s not enough on its own, but it layers nicely over moisturizer and under makeup.

i promise i’m not a corporate shill and but etude house’s entire soon jung line is really sooooo good….. it’s like ACTUALLY great for sensitive acne-prone skin, soothing and not greasy and super comfortable, fragrance free with minimalist ingredients, and super affordable
