i’m sorry but no one (even in pro wrestling) should be physically assaulted at their workplace just because someone didn’t like what they said. like i have probably had about twelve separate occasions at MY workplace in eight months where i have wanted to throw hands but i didn’t. you know why? because assaulting a coworker isn’t exactly the best thing to do. “well jack could’ve just kept his mouth shut!” HE WAS APPROACHED. probably wouldn’t have even said shit if punk hadn’t come over to him and started an argument. from what i’ve gathered, jack basically said “womp womp, cry me a river” and punk flew off the handle and choked him out. i’m the first to admit that yes, i am a jack perry fan, not at all a punk fan, but if the roles were reversed and jack walked up on someone to argue and turned it physical, i would be calling for him to get fired. because even if their profession is physical in nature, that’s out in the ring, and they should maintain a professional relationship outside of it, i.e. NOT assaulting each other. and jack got suspended for… being the target of an assault. right. meanwhile punk is living it up at the company he’s been shitting on loudly and repeatedly for years. yeah, ok. sure.

OOH good pick feels very topical these days. I feel she picked up a reputation in the IWC real quick for being one of those "underrated workrate wrestlers" who was never going to get noticed or rise higher than holding the tag belts, a Jungle Kyona type, that I think was both wrong as all things the IWC believes are and also made people overlook her legitimately extremely good character work and storytelling.

Like she was out there feuding with Giulia over how her and Himeka were being too gay in public and ruining DDM's look in 2020. You know? Her relationship with her tag team partner changed the identity of an entire faction permanently. She told an entire story that nobody noticed about how she was suddenly in love with Momo when Himeka was injured just to have something to do while she was gone. I think some people thought that got dropped but like - no it was literally just bc Himeka was gone. The second she came back she went 'sorry Momo who?' like. It got resolved. I am begging wrestling fans to think about things ever. She's been telling a fucked up "I left my little sister behind to make her stronger" story with Inaba for like 5 years without even being in the same company. Maika puts a lot of thought into everything she does and just being like "workrate wrestler, love how she gets in the ring and hits real hard" is an injustice to all the other dope shit she does too bc she's one of the furthest things from a wrestler who stops thinking about it as soon as the bell rings.

I think people also discount her very real popularity just bc she's not like an idol type or whatever. Like she was one of the first wrestlers in Stardom doing product tie-ups and cross advertising with other stuff. She's like 80% of the reason I have any followers right now among an admittedly skewed audience but one that actually has some god damn taste.

Anyway glad she has the belt rn even though idk how long it'll be for, she does deserve better booking and I think she'll be really cool to see as a potential faction leader, wish she wasn't so tied up with Megan rn sorry Maika I don't care how much you're into tall girls.

the way some wwe stars talk about aew is so........ rancid ngl. like it not being on the "level" of wwe. a 5 yr old company providing legitimate competition to one created in 1953 is incredible, actually, and competition in the industry makes for better conditions for the wrestlers themselves. talking down to the people in aew like they're a part of something lesser is so pathetic. especially considering how utterly toxic the leadership at wwe has been for decades.

I still get a little sad every time I see a photo of a certain joshi wrestler. I really shouldn't have been on Twitter that day.

If you mean Hana, I still like to and will continue to post her casually, with love and happiness. To each their own, but for me I do not like her being remembered as just a pretty face and a sad headline. The time I spent watching her as a wrestler still brings me joy and I still want to share that. She had a whole life before her end and I want to always share and celebrate that.

look, if aew gets sasha, she's easily a top three biggest names they've ever brought in and if there's someone out there who can singlehandedly get that company to invest in the women's division it's her

but i've spent over a year now being told the latest signing is finally the one that's gonna change things for real, i swear it's true this time, only for the division to go back to square one after two or three weeks so like. can't say aew is anywhere near the top of wrestling companies i want to see her in ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

the reason i say sami will lose to roman is because they’ve already sold everyone on reigns v rhodes for the belts at mania. iwc bullshit aside that’s put a lot of asses in seats and sold a lot of tickets and they can’t back out now.

what i’m thinking is gonna go down is that sami’s gonna lose, but there’s gonna be interference from jey uso and/or KO, and it’s gonna start a jey/KO/sami versus bloodline story that will continue through mania.

cody is probably walking out with the belts at mania. 

i’m worked already bc i’m mad because it should be sami either winning at the chamber, or winning at mania. they’ve run this story for too long for him to get anything less but i don’t see cody getting sidelined. i can admit he’s a huge fucking draw while still being annoyed by it.
