alright, so, forgive me as im not all too caught up with qsmp, and this is all inductive/pattern wise evidence! i also will be bringing up spoilers from other things charlie has worked on (of course its a slimecicle theory), which will be properly tagged, dont worry, but just know that.

okay so ive noticed patterns with charlies roleplaying style. hes roleplayed characters with lots of homosexual tension (intended or not) twice before, roleplayed father-daughter relationships twice, and had "destroying it all" arcs twice (three times if villion darkstrider counts)!

i do know that the code seems to like be possessing charlie, but due to patterns ive seen, im gonna doubt its a bad thing. why?

because its happened before where something new came out of charlie, someone or something had changed him, when really he had opened his eyes and did what he felt right.

i have nothing to go on besides patterns so i fully expect to be proven wrong

key difference in the fanfic I’ve written in my head where only Light gets the swap is that 

Because Light is always a flaming homosexual 

She would actually fall in love with Misa.

Though ofc she’d be reluctant about it at first but would come to understand the depths of her feelings when Misa is confined, and that plays a role in why Light would do The Thing.

Rem might still threaten to do a murder but at the end of the day

No one fucks w/Light Yagami, and by extension, her ‘stuff’ (Misa).

(Obviously she’d still have problems humanizing other people, that’s just a core tenant of Light Yagami. In canon he even does it to himself by deifying himself, it’s kinda sad. Nobody is a person to him, not even himself. They’re all objects and you could probably link that back to his being so idolized and the percieved good he does in the world coming by way of his use.)

cus ofc Light would still be a suspect, L isnt that dumb and Light wouldn’t be stopped from killing Raye Penbar just because she has a uterus now. 

(I do want to note though that Light really does have some lowkey queer gender vibes to me in canon, so obviously this Light would have those too.) 

It would create more tension in the team tho, since them and Soichiro especially would have their ‘gotta protect womens (especially Chief’s Daughter)’ blinders on. Like can you imagine how those handcuffs would’ve gone if Light was a girl? Still cuffed to an older guy????

It’d be a riot. L would still get his way ofc, he’s good at doing that, but oh BOY would it require some measures.

ANYWAYS

I do think this Light would be a more vicious and even angrier one. By way of her sex being what it is, she would have had to fight and scrape and connive all the more the respect of her father, other law enforcement, to be seen as the genius (who is therefore better than them) she is - Naomi Misora style. 

The respect, authority, and autonomy that’s automatically given by way of being a guy in a patriarchy would be gone, and the expectations of her would be different therefore.

No doubt there’d probably still even be pressure for her to find a more fitting job than police detective, but I think she’d have won the respect of her father by the time the series starts. 

He’d probably still have the “I do wish you’d do something less dangerous” thing but by that time Light would have wormed her way in by solving cases under their noses enough times that they’d have no choice but to see her as a benefit.

I think being on the other side of that line would enable her to relate to Misa in a way canon Light is straight up too sexist to do. 

Without the Death Note’s influence, Light actually has genuine emotions that aren’t just Oh Depression, Oh Boredom like we see in the first episode. Taking that together with her comphet, and her proximity to a girl who really wants to be her girlfriend and worships her, of course she’d fall for Misa.

Which is to say of COURSE Misa still pursues her romantically bwahahahaha

Misa would only be momentarily startled that Kira isn’t a sexy guy and is instead a gorgeous, admirable, studious, athletic, beautiful, talented girl - who still murdered the guy who killed Misa’s parents. 

Thrown at first, enough to do some self reflection, she’d still go over to Light’s house with the intention of Making That Girl Her’s.

And then Serial Killer by Lana Del Rey plays in the bg as they murder the patriarchy the bad guys. Most of the early season events would be pretty much the same but Light’s feelings for Misa, and

Misa actually being allowed to have some agency that’s not just scrapping with other women and serving men -coughbadatwritingwomencough-

that would change some events

and that is to say 

if Light still dies at the end of the thing

She and Misa die together, Romeo and Juliet style, but only after a really good run at being serial killers together.

Kinda maybe a bit romantic :) You know?

Ace Attorney 1: Ep 2 talk

I can tell I’m going to be a big fan of this series if they keep this up. The length of an real episode/chapter is satisfying, and i like how the trail segments were broken up by investigation segments. IT IS SO GOOD because that was always a pet peeve for me when it came to the dangan ronpa series, the really long trials made it hard to have a good “break” and the pacing could be like....painful for me.

Why must the good die young. I admit I recalled her not being in the picture later in the game, but i’m still sad she’s down for the couNT EXPECT SHE’S A GHOST. So she’s still around!! Yay!! I wish her... possession? form?? didn’t place so much focus on titty...

Maya

My new fucking daughter, I love her so. She’s funny, i love her puns, and how her humour plays off of Phoenix’s dry humour. The fact she found her sister’s body and was blamed for it is UuuuUuuUuuuuh traumatizing. When I gave her that audio clip and she listened to it and cried.... i cried too... bruh. She’s like our main companion now right? good I will protect her and her smile. she is Baby and she needs BURGERS to power her ghost hotline powers. She’s the mvp for not only encouraging Phoenix while she was grieving, but also using her barely developed powers to contact Mia to crack down this case.

tldr: I had maya for a day and half, and if anything were to happen to her i’d kill everyone in this room and then myself.

Move over Larry, fuck you, there’s a better himbo in town AND HE’S TRYING HIS BEST STOP BULLYING HIM IN THE COURT ROOM. At first when he arrested Maya so fast, i was like HEY BUD, but he was just doing his job, and he’s got no brain cells. He just trying to do the right thing and sometimes not doing so great. I really wish he would remember that Larry is innocent, but he’s clearly intimidated by Edgyworths so he’s probably to busy being his personal lap dog to remember that stuff. I like him, i think i’ll like him more as i get to know him.

Edgeworth 

No cap i thirst for this man. But listen. I’m just in character. Look at him, he’s so handsome. Put him in some normal clothes (yeah i’m dissing that fruity tie thing) and anyone would thirst. He can update my autopsy report when i die free of charge. During the trial he very much dances the line of “edgeworth i love you please keep talking” and “EDGEWORTH PLEASE STOP TALKING” the man has range. Also he contributes to some really funny trial moments. He’s a really fun opponent and I hope nearly every trial is against him. ALSO HE AND PHOENIX KNOW EACH OTHER??? OH???????? WORM????????????? i smell a ship. I sense, friends, to enemies, to friends? (with homosexual tension), to lovers.

Trial

So this was so fun, i struggled more at certain points, but overall i really enjoyed it. There were some really fucking funny moments, especially with the “Did i say that?” “you said it”x3. AND:

LOVING SASSY PHOENIX. LOVE ALL THE COMEDY UP IN THIS TRIAL. Mile’s constant assault made it so fun, it felt like facing a real equal who has more experience. One step ahead but just barely. A lot nicer then just steam rolling over the tutorial prosecutor.  

Overall having a LOT of fun!

Med Rewatch Series (#11)

S3 E11: Folie À Deux.

Episode description: Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Bekker try to save a misdiagnosed patient while Dr. Choi is on a mission to figure out what happened during a stabbing at his apartment complex.

I remember this episode being a really good one for the psych team (subsequently Sarah, we don’t care about charles). And based off the description, i’m pretty sure this is the one with ethan and april running around in minimal clothes having a nerf gun fight. fun idea. oh, also, ava mention in the description, so it should be good.

Let’s get into it.

- i remember this one, the two neighbors are having a shared delusion or something

- i did not realize this was the episode they introduce sarah’s dad

- COME ON MAN

- i screamed out loud.

- I’ve actually completely forgotten the storyline

- the fact that ava and connor seemingly work on sarah’s father (and sarah and ava interact once? CRIMINAL)

- let’s keep going

- the fact that the guy is charming and already joshing around with the boys. good writing

- ava needs to protect sarah

- this guy. already trying to gain sympathy from charles. please sir no.

- what was the point of having sarah go through two really big story arcs in one season

- sarah’s shirt in this episode is the one with hexagon patterns all over it. i loved that shirt

- charles feeling guilty later in the season for subtly pushing sarah towards getting closer with her father. good broad strokes writing

- noah sending up his patient to the cath lab - cut to: ava and connor in the OR, ava saying: “meet mr. murphy. some genius in the E.D. sent him to the cath lab with a STEMI” (his heart is blue so big yikes)

- and I am so here for ava calling noah out on his shit. a main part of my rewritten cannon

- what is hands down my favorite thing about med? the one thing they do 100% correct? The way they transition from story to story. at least that aspect of their storyline is clean

- is this the one with the floppy baby

- VERY INTERESTING - how in the episode with ava calling noah out, is also when noah is back at it again, chatting with reese

- also, sarah already knowing what noah is gonna say about the patient - SHE’S SO SMART

-sarah literally not giving noah anythingggg. cutting him off and not letting him finish his little story. leaving the room when she just feels like it. we love

- *noah walks into the viewing gallery*

ava: “Your patient, Doctor?”

noah: “uh, yeah.”

ava: “Brilliant.”

- why does this line up so well tho, with that one thing i wrote for S3 E2, ava saving sarah from noah’s chatter and shutting him up

- the surgery faces a complication and ava makes a tough call that will sacrifice some of the other organs, making connor get mad at her, accusing her of inviting him just so they’ll both fail (ava being mad at noah bc this was his fault? or, alternatively noah being fucking terrified of ava after this, but then ava is just... chill. --- this is a good Idea, I’ll sit on it more,)

- when connor tells noah that the patient is doing fine and says “no thanks to you.” (yeah, she’s cutting, but the patient nearly dies)

- noah walking around ava to get to connor (and ava rolling her eyes at him)

- ava eyeing connor reassuring noah it’s bc he’s flirting with sarah because connor is coddling him

- ava smiling when connor says that he’s still learning to get past his assumptions

- yes okay, yes, i see it. she’s smiling bc she thinks he’s talking about her. what does this mean? not anything explicitly romantic. look at me and tell me that ava isn’t someone who is finally happy that someone is willing to see past her cold blunt exterior. how much more satisfying is that, vs. ‘oh wow! the popular boy likes me!’. it is surely much more endearing (that being said the fact that she does smile [in the canon of the show] like the shy little school girl annoys me so fucking much)

- and ava rolling her eyes at noah walking around her? just another person who sees her as just cold and heartless. it’s annoying that it happens so often.

- jay remarking that charles ‘sure knows how to bring the best out of people’ when he gets a women to threaten him, and charles says ‘it’s a gift’ - thinking about how he sure brings out the ‘best’ of reese and her father...

- charles using this episode to diagnose a psychopath. in the same episode reese’s father shows up. the med writers really used all their brain cells on this one

- med really is like ‘don’t worry guys. natalie manning on our show gave a speech on how anti vaxxers suck. we’ve done our job. society is cured’

- we don’t talk enough about how soft monique is

- the way ava sits on the bed in the doctors lounge is GAY. THAT IS A HOMOSEXUAL. MA’AM. WHO ARE YOU FOOLING. the fact that connor is just there, sitting at the table, sipping tea, using a moleskin notebook as a coaster is fucking hilarious. the energy in the room (distinctly homosexual).

- they really would have been unstoppable if the show had just kept them bros

- and then the moment connor opens his mouth he turns the convo distinctly straight again. how fucking disappointing

- literally the energy in the room before vs. after they start talking is polarizing. and they have to go and make it the straightest scene. jesus just fuck off

- let’s continue

- look he’s finally able to play into her jokes

- also ew jimmy fallon - reason #100 connor rhodes sucks

- this is also the first mention of the conjoined twins case (makes sense since this seems to be about the half season mark and we’re seeing a bunch of B season plots introduced, what with sarah’s dad and all)

- start of heightened competition which the show uses for exhausting sexual tension god help me

- CONNOR YOU ARE STANDING TOO CLOSE, GET AWAY FROM THIS WOMAN

- there’s like a three second span where they’re standing inches apart and just staring at each other and mentally im going ‘nononononnonnono’

- GOD DAMMIT

- so yeah they kiss. (right after connor says he needs to pace himself but whatever)

- why is it so aggressive

So. What am I supposed to do here? I’m rewriting this right? What am i supposed to do with the rest of the season. I suppose that’s what I’m supposed to find with this rewatch. my job just got a whole lot harder.

If I were to make Ava a psychopath, I would do it here, so that she was just playing with him. I’m not going to do that though, because she deserves a tad better.

What I’m thinking now, Ava is having some sort of existential crisis, due to being in this new place and having only one (1) semi-strong connection after living here for six months. so she latches onto connor, thinks that she needs him, panics that she isn’t anybody without him (can you see the themes I’m going with?)

or, this is just some meaningless fling, which is also a novel idea, but from the evidence we’ve gathered, ava is much too caring a person to do that (at least I believe).

regardless, we did a lot of good work today, pointing out ava harassing noah (like i thought would happen lmao). definitely not my fav episode, or the best episode. but in terms of the rewrite, there’s a lot we can work with here

Hey! First, I’m sorry for the late reply - I had to mentally recharge for a few days haha.

To start off, I know their relationship has been interpreted romantically. I felt it as well, but the problem (for me) is that it was never made clear what that something was. It felt like queer-baiting, and is the reason I don’t give it the credit of being a romance. It’s not like Life is Beautiful (SBS), where we knew from the beginning that the two leads were homosexual. Like, as far as I remember, even Lee Jong Suk’s character in Secret Garden made it clear he was gay. It makes me angry, re: S13, but this is a societal issue. LiB is a very rare case in drama land, where a homosexual couple was given 63 episodes, in a family drama, and on a national broadcasting station, to express themselves and meet the Korean society’s prejudice head on. Off the top of my head, I can’t remember if The Lover confirmed the boys’ relationship either, but I think they did (I didn’t finish the drama)? It’s not that I didn’t see the tension and depth between Nam Soon and Heung Soo. It’s that I WISH they would stop making dramas and label them “bromance” when what they show us is something different. It is always made clear whether something is platonic or not between a female and male character, but when it comes to two males, things are reduced to “mystery” and jokes. I hope this makes sense.

And you’re right about the girls always being side-lined. But I just remember how much I loved Kang So Young in School 2015. I haven’t seen the latest eps of S17, but I hope we see more of the girls :’)

there’s something about mary

Well here we are, mid-May and one week from the season 12 finale, where our hearts get stomped on and our children find no happiness whatsoever. Kinda like real life. Except by my children I mean me.

My cats are fighting with each other again which leads me to believe their homosexual sexual tension is going to reach a boiling point. Kinda like Dean and Cas. And by boiling point I mean simmer until all the water evaporates and the rest of the pan’s just a burned-on crusty mess.
