So here is the thing about that

Diluc is actually only like a year or two older than Heizou. Yet Diluc thinks he's one of the older ones and does all he takes to care for them. Which, funny enough, makes him the true sunshine of the group that all the others try to protect. He is the mom friend, sunshine cross. Yanfei is the Girl Boss Mom Friend. Cyno is the one who will hunt your bully down and jump them in Denny's parking lot at 1am. Heizou is the shit-talking friend and will help you bury the body.

HEIZOU: 2nd year at Teyvat High. A self proclaimed detective that can solve almost any case thrown at him. Heizou slacks off during band practice or skips it entirely. Venti doesn't know that the reason he sneaks off during practice is to go to 'their' spot. Since Kazuha started to dedicate his sonnets and poems to someone, Heizou has made it his mission to find out just who Kazuha dedicates them to. He still hasn't told Kazuha about Y/N because he claims that he has a hunch that Kazuha is close with the person he calls "THAT ex." In Heizou's free time, he enjoys doing warmup cases, puzzles or escape rooms. On his private account, he likes to retell memories he has of Y/N before the messy breakup.

KAZUHA: 1st year at Teyvat High. Heizou's closest confidant in 5WIRL. Kazuha has no idea that his best friends are exes because Heizou refers to Y/N as "THAT ex" and Y/N still hasn't told him. Heizou dragged Kazuha into 5WIRL a little after he started his 1st year at Teyvat High and Kazuha regrets it to this day. Kazuha refuses to tell the group who he dedicates his sonnets and odes to because he can feel that something will happen if he does. He doesn't know that it'll happen soon. Kazuha fears for the day they find out who he dedicates his poetry pieces to.

AETHER: 1st year at Teyvat High. The foreign exchange student that everyone knows. Venti adopted him into the group and forced him into the band after he helped him calm down his pet bearded dragon named Dvalin. He's usually busy doing favors for everyone on campus but still finds time to practice.

VENTI: 3rd year at Teyvat High. He started the band 5WIRL as joke and claims that he wanted to be just like the hit Disney Channel movie and band "Lemonade Mouth." He started to take the band more seriously after receiving good response from the music club they played at. You'll typically see Venti skipping classes with a bottle of wine in his hand or running away from the clutches of Diluc's wrath. Nobody knows how he became one of the reigning 7 students at Teyvat High because of how... childish he is.

XIAO: 2nd year at Teyvat High. Xiao is the "Kai he/him 16" of the friend group (proclaimed by Venti.) Venti usually has to drag Xiao into whatever the group does including practices and hangouts. He spends most of his time on playing FPS' like Valorant or Apex Legends.

one small thing I love about the detective club is that Yanfei and Heizou mostly speak in essays while Cyno and Diluc have mostly one-sentence-long voice lines.

To get Cyno and Diluc to talk, you must ask them about their special interests. Being TCG and Birds, respectively. Heizou and Yanfei will talk just to talk.

Remember that haunted house bg where people draw characters/oc going through it while holding each other/screaming?

Who would be the least scared and who would be scared from the club?

So first off.

Diluc has to constantly behold hands purely because he's gonna punch someone. He doesn't scream. He just reacts, so he just hides away, probably into Yanfei.

Yanfei herself probably has the best time with it all, despite making sure Diluc doesn't get them kicked out. She gets scared but likes it and has fun.

Heizou is a bit of the spoilsport with them and is trying to ruin the surprises. But when they get him, they get him. And Yanfei threatens him if he does stop.

Cyno is pretty quiet but tends to jump. He also is trying to make sure he doesn't punch anyone either but Heizou is normally holding on to him or he also hides into Yanfei.

Yanfei is the big sister of the group.

So here is what I think. Because Diluc does have a resting bitch face but actually is really sweet to people. And to be honest. Heizou. He's a sinnamon roll. And you can't tell me that with how much pure unadulterated BULLSHIT Yanfei has had to deal with that her first thought isn't murder. But thankfully, she's stronger than that.

There is something so hilarious about Yanfei always carrying around her legal codex like

I mean, it explains why she's so fit. Diluc, Cyno and Heizou are all fighters, and Yanfei carries around heavy weights all day.

Honestly. Like Diluc is strong. But I have money riding that Yanfei being an Adeptus is stronger. Like put on top of them, she carries that law book.

So I tend to imagine the Diluc can carry both Cyno and Heizou while they make an escape. But I also like to imagine Yanfei can pick up Diluc and run with him.

Do you play miku's colorful stage/project sekai? If so, what sekai do you think the detective club is more fit with? (Or you can say they may be separate, like Heizou with the N25 and Yanfei with More more jump, etc

Also my personal fav is N25 and I love Mizuki so much

So I go through phases with Rhythm games. And I've played it quite a bit but haven't in a touched it in a minute.

My favorite was Vivid Bad Squad. Akito is such an asshole but I love him.

I do see the Detective Club would totally play it though.

Diluc would I feel would be like a Leo/need person and really like ichika and Saki.

I defiantly see Yanfei with More More Jump I get the feeling she would love the engery of the whole group but really like Airi.

Cyno Is Wonderlands x Showtime. 100% Wonderlands x Showtime. Probs really like Nene because it reminds him of Collei in some ways.

Heizou I again agree he's a Nightcord at 25:00 kind of guy. Like doesn't like to admit it but REALLY relates to Kanade and Mizuki.

You know what's kind of funny is that I just realized you could play guess who is not human the detective club.

Like is the redhead (possibly a sign of being a child of a god) who's had a vision since he was a young age? And took on the Fatui by himself, ending with them not putting a hit on him but just telling him to never fucking come back because he was such a pain to deal with? ALSO, That abyss order does actually have a hit out on him.

Is it the person guy with jackal ears? (I know it's his hood, but stay with me) Who gets posses by some ancient sage's power? Who helped rescue an archon.

Is it the lawyer? Who just happens to have horns.

Or is it the cop who went into a martial arts tournament with no weapon and took out the last opponent in like seven bows? Then was praised by the general, who is not a human and who predicted that would happen. Also, Did I mention he's practically a genius?

Honestly because people get worried about Cyno and Heizou like, they'll come up to Diluc or Yanfei and be like

"Hey, are you sure those two can work together?"

Diluc is just sipping his coffee. "Oh yeah, don't be fool."

And serious when on the case Cyno and Heizou are crazy great bloodhounds. There is no fucking escape. And they really how Yanfei and Diluc deal with them is just treat them like puppies. lolol. Helps that Diluc can just... Pick them up and have one under each arm when needed.

Well, Diluc is the only one who overlaps with the Bully the Fatui Brigade. But Yanfei has done work for the brigade before and Cyno has probably been an honorary member for a while just because of Tighnari.

And honestly, I don't think Heizou is any fan of the Fatui either. Giving his story, he will place his values above the seemingly strained relationship with his dad.

So the short is Heizou's dad would get fucking bully.

Y'know, the members of the detective club have some very out-of-character hobbies and I love them for it.

Yanfei's backup career is rapping. Its literally in one of her character stories.

Cyno lives off of Genious invokation TCG.

Heizou just does whatever the hell he feels like doing. Going sightseeing on Watatsumi during a civil war? Sure, why not.

But does Diluc have something odd like that? I don't quite remember please tell me if you know, the band of weirdos needs to be complete

I mean...

Being a detective is sort of his weird hobby. Like the others, the detective part is some aspect of their actual job. Diluc doesn't. He just one day said, "Fuck the cops," And started doing his own thing. WHILE BEING A BUSINESSMAN.

Diluc himself is just a weirdo who reads, plays chess and owns a winery but hates wine. And probably know waaaay too many bird and horse facts. And spends time researching new flavors for winey, and if it doesn't work for wine, he'll use it in some other way. (See the slime bait)

I'm not really picking happy ones for this huh? But Idk i feel Yanfei would vibe with helping people only to be forgotten or left behind. And well she's accepting of it and realizes it's part of her life as half adeptis, I think she's in a place where she's ok letting herself remember that sadness from time to time. I think she's the type to take all her emotions seriously and sadness and loneness are just important to her as happiness and joy. Tbh I almost pick Nostalgia for a similar reason.

Meanwhile, Kaeya is losing his damn mind as to why, how, and who authorized this because the investigation is still open (yes I'm dragging this AU back because it was hilarious and it makes me happy to think about the hijinks)

You know Cyno's a pretty smart guy, and the minute he gets the Darknight hero card he instantly sees the resemblance.

But here is my theory about Diluc and Cyno's relationship. When they come together, they sort of harmonize and start sharing a singular brain cell that's just labeled "Justice."

So Cyno doesn't jump to "Diluc is the Darknight Hero" but rather "Oh Diluc was the model for the Darknight hero." Because Diluc seems to fit the aesthetic rather nicely so he brushes it all off.

And honestly, Yelan and Ayato would LOVE watching Diluc and Cyno together because not only to they become the most dangerous blood hounds but also the BIGGEST FUCKING NERDS, and they just like info dump at each other and looks like they can communicate in glares.
