The climate in the city is subtropical that is characterized by mild winters and hot, sunny summers. In summer, temperatures can climb temperatures of up to 90 degrees although the nighttime lows tend to be cooler than the daytime highs. The coolest months are between January and August and December is around 48 degrees and is rainy.
Alongside being the second-largest city in the US, Los Angeles has an extensive and long-running time. The native Tongva tribe resided in the area for hundreds of years having fun in the sun. The first European contact in the city occurred in 1542 with the visit of the Portuguese explorer Juan Cabrillo. Eventually the Spanish moved into Los Angeles and established a colonial presence there. In the 19th century, the city grew rapidly.

This ethnic diversity is particularly evident, particularly in Los Angeles' Eastside which is home to an extensive Central American community. It was founded in 1965 and showcases hundreds of works of art. The museum's collections range in size from Islamic items to European impressionist artworks. It is situated near The La Brea Tar Pits and is spread across 20 acres of land.
International travel, entertainment agriculture, and entertainment are the major economic drivers in Los Angeles. Its two main ports, Long Beach and Los Angeles International Airport are crucial for commerce throughout North America. In addition, Los Angeles is a city of entertainment and media which is why there are a lot of Fortune 500 companies based here. Additionally, Los Angeles is the location of many of the world's biggest film studios.
The city is home to many professional teams. For instance, the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball compete within the city as do the Kings of the National Hockey League. It is also home to the LA Clippers of the NBA and Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Despite the absence of NFL teams, the city has hosted events like the X Games for the last ten years.
