This piece from Herculaneum (1st century AD) depicts Phoebe trying to pacify Latona and Niobe while two Niobids - Hilearia and Agle - play knucklebones, oblivious to their imminent doom. The information is derived from inscriptions made by the painter, Alexander of Athens.

Currently at the National Archaeological Museum, Naples.
