Word Count: 1166
Anon asked: hey! i freaking love your fics for wanda, especially the angst ones, love it đź’• also your latest fluff, wanda being confused was so cute haha could you possibly do cellophane by fka twigs with a fem reader, thank you! đź’•
A/N: I know this is a sad song but the lyrics kinda hit me right in the feels and I related to it a bit too much so I tried not to hurt our gal Wanda as much. Also just putting this out there, I love Nat and Bruce, but I just needed to have some rude and shitty characters soo this isn’t me hating on them at all.

Apologies (Part Two)
It began with the small things. Inconspicuous stares anytime the two of you were in the kitchen together. Halted conversations every time she walked into the room.
And then it got louder. The team was careful to not say anything when you were around, but it was almost like they didn't care if she heard.
Wanda knew that the team still didn’t trust her. After everything she did with Ultron, she couldn't blame them. But it still hurt, knowing how they felt. Hearing how much they despised her broke her heart.
And it wasn’t like she could ever tell you about it. Just watching the way you interacted with your family, with so much love and adoration, she didn’t know how you’d react if she told you how the others were acting and the way she was feeling. Would you believe her? Or would you side with everyone else?
It also didn’t help that Wanda knew that you were the only person she had. It wasn’t true the other way around, you had more people than just her in your corner, but if everything went wrong, she’d be all alone.
She was often jealous of your interactions with the others, knowing that you could always choose to leave her if you wanted to. It’s not like she didn’t trust you, you were such a loving and caring girlfriend, but sometimes she just couldn’t help but be overwhelmed with her feelings of insecurity. What if you decided you wanted someone better? Someone who didn’t come with as much baggage as her?
Wanda usually ignored all of the snide comments sent her way. But one day she couldn’t take it anymore. She was in the kitchen finishing up her breakfast when she heard Natasha and Bruce.
“It’s (Y/N) we’re talking about. She loves with an open heart.”
“Wanda’s no good for her.”
The words were whispered harshly to each other, but they didn’t attempt to hide what they were saying.
The scraping of her chair caught their attention. She ignored the looks shot her way as she hastily threw her things into the sink before all but running back to her room.
You had just finished sparring in the gym when you walked into the kitchen. You only saw the last part, Wanda fleeing the room. She looked pretty upset so you wanted to chase after her, but you also wanted to know what happened first. You turn to the only other people in the room. “What happened?”
Natasha shrugs. “I don’t know. Maybe she just had something to do.”
You’re confused as Wanda said she was going to wait for you to join her for breakfast after your training session. Something seemed off. “Bruce?”
He crosses his arms. Unlike Natasha, he wasn’t afraid to show his displeasure towards the young witch. “It’s Wanda. She’s always off doing her own stuff. Why does it matter?”
Your mouth drops open at that. “Because she’s my girlfriend? And she looked upset. Did you guys do something?” Natasha looked away but Bruce met your gaze head-on. Neither of them say anything. You sigh, slightly shaking your head at the two of them. “You guys said you were going to be nicer to her.” You don’t wait for a response before making your way out of the kitchen.
Light floods into the room as the door slowly opens. “Wanda?" You poke your head into her dark bedroom.
Despite how she was feeling, Wanda perked up at the sound of your voice. When you spot her tear stained cheeks you instantly rush over, dropping to your knees so you could be level with her face.
“Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” You move to brush the tears from her cheeks, but she flinches away. Your hand freezes in the air. “Wanda?”
Her eyes were downcast, but you could spot the sadness in them.
“They hate me.”
“What? No, they’re just still adjusting to having you here.”
She wants to scream at how naĂŻve you were being. But she knew none of it was coming from a bad place. You tended to see the best in people.
When Wanda doesn’t respond, you grab her hands into your own, sighing in content when she doesn’t pull away. You knew that you were missing something here but you didn’t know what it was. “I can tell something’s bothering you. Tell me?”
“They don’t…” she takes a deep breath, heart pounding. What if you didn’t believe her? “They don’t want me here. They never say anything when you’re around. But everything’s louder when you’re not around.”
Wanda watches the way your brows furrow at her words.
“What do you mean?”
“I…” Wanda trails off, the words stuck in her throat. She couldn’t do it. Couldn’t break the perfect image you had of your family. If it meant she had to suffer in silence, she’d do it.
“Wanda, please tell me what you mean.” You’re pleading with her now, wanting her to let you in. She doesn’t stop you when you lift a hand to rest against her cheek. If anything, she seemed to lean into your touch. “I can’t help you if I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
It was a combination of your plea, your earnestness, and her own over-bubbling feelings that spurred her to finally speak her mind.
“I can hear all of them. They’re waiting for me to fail, to break your heart, so you finally see me the way they do.”
“And how do they see you?”
“As someone who’s no good for you.”
At that, your eyes harden. “What?”
Your hand drops from her face. She doesn’t have a chance to mourn its loss, however, as you move onto the bed next to her. She’s surprised to see the anger in your eyes as you turn her towards you. “What did they do? What did they say? No wait, who said these things?”
Wanda doesn’t answer, but you don’t care, making a mental note to confront the whole team after this. “Why didn’t you say anything to me sooner?”
“The Avengers are your family. I couldn’t… you love them.”
You frown at her words. Did you really make her feel like she couldn’t come to you about any of this? “I love the team, I do, but I’m in love with you. The Avengers may be family, but you’re my home. The rest of them can all fuck off.”
Your words were comforting but she still couldn’t shake off the feeling that you could do better than her. “But what if I’m not enough?”
You don’t hesitate to answer. “You are more than enough.” You pull her into your arms, her head automatically tucking itself under your chin. The tears instantly fall the second your arms envelope her but in that moment Wanda knew that she’d always be safe in your arms. Even if the world wanted to tear the two of you apart, you’d fight them all just to stay with her.
