Beautiful Memories Q&A, a series I started translating in 2021 and finally finished earlier this year. This is a series of mini-interviews printed on the back of novelty cards distributed at the AGF 2020 pop-up shop. There were 22 cards in total, one of each idol as a child and the other recreated as adults. I grouped the translations by senior/junior units.

Prioritise fight against drug abuse, Remi Tinubu urges govs
Tumblr media
First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (retd.), have charged state governments to prioritise the fight against drug abuse to ensure a safe and secure society. The charge was given on Monday in Abuja, at the opening ceremony of a two-day training on Drug Prevention Treatment and Care, organised by the NDLEA for spouses of state governors. In her keynote address at the event, Senator Tinubu who was represented by the wife of the Inspector General of Police, Elizabeth Egbetokun, commended Marwa and the Nigerian Governors’ Spouses Forum for the initiative. She said, “I commend the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, under the leadership of His Excellency, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (retd.), for organizing this vital training and for your ongoing efforts in combatting drug abuse in Nigeria. “We must recognise that drug abuse is not just a law enforcement issue but a public health crisis that requires a compassionate and multi-faceted response. We must challenge the stigma and discrimination associated with addiction, and foster a culture of empathy, understanding and solidarity towards those struggling with substance use disorders. “As mothers, we understand the profound impact that drug abuse can have on our children’s lives. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us to protect, nurture, and guide them toward a future free from the shackles of addiction. As leaders in your respective states, you wield a unique platform to drive meaningful change. “The role of Governors’ spouses in combating drug abuse cannot be overstated. Through advocacy, we can ensure access to prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services for those affected by addiction “However, our efforts must not end with this training. We must translate knowledge into action, collaborating with stakeholders such as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, other government agencies, civil society organizations, healthcare providers, educators, andstudents. Together, we can implement evidence-based strategies for prevention, early intervention, and holistic treatment approaches.” The AGF, Fagbemi, SAN in his remarks, commended the resourcefulness of the NDLEA leadership in utilising the Nigerian Governors’ Spouses Forum to cascade the drug war into the grassroots and the community level. Fagbemi noted, “The issue of drug use is not confined to any region or social strata, but affects every corner of our nation, and propagates crime and other criminalities across the world. The critical role of the attendees in shaping policies and practices in the communities is therefore recognized. “The NDLEA boss in his remarks said the devastating effects of substance abuse on public health, the environment and its nexus with the spate of insecurity faced across the country has made it mandatory for a whole-of-society approach to curb the scourge. He said this has been the focus of the War Against Drug Abuse, WADA, advocacy campaign emplaced by the NDLEA since 2021.” Meanwhile, Marwa urged the governors’ wives to take advantage of their positions to mobilise support for drug prevention and treatment in their states. Marwa said, “Our commanders and officers in your states are always available to work with you and the governors; please create the needed access for them so that they can serve you and the society better. Together, we can effect meaningful change and create healthier, safer communities for all. Your collective effort can become the biggest catalyst for the nation to triumph over the illicit drug challenge.” He noted that as part of efforts to curb the cultivation and production of illicit drugs in Nigeria, the agency is adopting an alternative development plan that will encourage cannabis farmers to switch to other licit crops. He added, “I’d also like to draw your attention to the devastating impact activities of drug cartels involved in illicit drug cultivation are causing humanity; that is deforestation, which results in environmental degradation. In search of a lasting solution, we are working to implement an alternative development plan. “This will provide cannabis farmers with better options, like switching to other crops. I have recently set up an Alternative Development Unit in my office. We need you to make this reality and our alternative development plan one of your takeaways for the immediate consideration and support of our governors. We will keep you posted as we flesh out the plan on this, this year.” Also, the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, SAN, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, stressed the pivotal role of first ladies in the fight against the scourge of substance abuse. The minister assured of collaboration between his ministry and NDLEA in combatting substance abuse among students. “The curriculum in schools has been updated to include the added spice of drug issues with the necessary knowledge to avoid drug use. Drug-free clubs in federal unity colleges enable children to make healthier choices,” she noted. Other speakers at the opening ceremony were the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Country Representative Dr Oliver Stolpe; a representative of the European Union, Letizia Torretta, and the Director General, National Agency for the Control of AIDS, Dr. Gambo Aliyu. By • Olalekan Fagbade BREAKING: Houe of Reps issue warrant of arrest on CBN Governor, AGF, others The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions has issued a warrant of the arrest on the Central Bank Governor, Mr Olayemi Cardoso, the Accountant General of the Federation, Mrs Oluwatoyin Madein and 17 others for refusing to appear before it to answer questions on their operations. This followed the adoption of a motion by Rep Fred Agbedi (PDP-Bayelsa) at the committee’s hearing on Tuesday. Moving the motion, Agbedi said that the arrest warrant had become inevitable following the attitude of the invitees. He said that the parliament worked with time and the CEOs had been invited four times, but failed to respond. He said that the CEOs should be brought to appear before the committee by the Inspector General of Police through a warrant of arrest after due diligence by the Speaker, Rep Tajudeen Abbas. In his ruling, the Chairman of the Committee, Rep Micheal Irom (APC-Cross River), said that the IG should ensure the CEOs were brought before the committee on December 14. Earlier, the petitioner, Mr Fidelis Uzowanem, said that the petition was anchored on the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) report of 2021. “We took up the challenge to examine the report and discovered that what NEITI put together is a report is only consolidation of fraud that has been going on in the oil and gas industry. “It dates back to 2016 because was have been following and we put up a petition to this committee to examine what has happened. “The 2024 budget of 27.5 trillion that has been proposed can be confidently funded from the recoverable amount that we identified in the NEITI report. “It is basically a concealment of illegal transactions that took place in NNPCL; they have been in a sink with some oil companies where some companies that did not produce crude were paid cash core, an amount paid for crude oil production,” he said.

Pressure Relief Valves In-Depth Profiling With Key Players and Recent Developments, Forecast Period: 2021-2031
Pressure Relief Valves Market Research, 2031
The global pressure relief valves market size was valued at $4.4 billion in 2021, and is projected to reach $7 billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 4.6% from 2022 to 2031.Pressure relief valve (PRV) is also called as a relief valve. Pressure vessels and other equipment are protected by pressure relief valve from being subjected to pressures that exceed their design limits. The valve is used to control or limit the pressure built inside the equipment which may cause equipment or instrument failure, or fire. The pressure is relieved by allowing the pressurized fluid to flow from an auxiliary passage out of the system.
Pressure relief valve are used in the oil & gas industry for drilling and workover operations, which, in turn, increase demand for pressure relief valve, and is anticipated to boost growth of the pressure relief valve market. According to a report on North America Midstream Infrastructure through 2035 published in June 2018 by ICF International Inc., total investments in oil & gas infrastructure are projected to range between $685 billion and $895 billion from 2018 to 2035. In addition, pharmaceuticals and food & beverages industries are largely saturated in developing countries including European Union, such as the U.S. and China. Pressure relief valve have an important role in manufacturing of different types of medical devices and support key players to give opportunity during this pandemic situation. For instance, according to the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), the food & beverage processing industry has emerged as a high-profit and high-growth sector, owing to its immense growth potential. Moreover, rise in number of industrial infrastructure projects in developing countries is driving the demand of pressure relief valves market. For instance, the government of China spent $10 billion on a new oil & gas refinery project, Guangdong refinery, which is expected to be completed by March 2022. Such instances are expected to drive the growth of the market. There are many domestic manufacturers present in places, which is expected to hamper growth of the pressure relief valve market. Domestic manufacturers provide pressure relief valve ranging from $100 to $200. However, key players offer pressure relief valve ranging from $100 to $2500. Hence, customer focuses more on adopting pressure relief valve from domestic manufacturers, which, in turn, hinders the pressure relief valves industry growth.
Tumblr media
The global pressure relief valve market is segmented on the basis of valve type, pressure, end user, and region. Based on valve type, the market is divided into spring loaded, pilot loaded, dead weight and p and t actuated. Based on pressure, the market is divided into low, medium and high. Based on end user industry, the market is divided into oil & gas, chemical, power generation, food & beverage, manufacturing and water & wastewater.

Internship Entry 8
Your overall reflections on the internship and your studies.
According to Moon (1999) and Deakin (2020), being able to reflect on experiences faced allows for a person to learn effectively on skills needed for particular scenarios and offers a significant benefit when experiencing similar events in the future.
Looking back on my journey at Holmesglen I really enjoyed every moment I was there! I created some quality friendships and relationships with a number of my peers, and I am hopeful that they will last into the future as we all share a passion for sport.
Reflecting on my classwork and time on campus however, I wish I had the opportunity to be in class more during my 1st and 2nd year (Covid affected), so I could ask more questions and have that extra level of exposure to industry opportunities. However, I am beyond happy and grateful with the opportunities that were presented to me in my 3rd and final year, and with the opportunity to intern at 2 incredibly generous organisations.
Tumblr media
It is incredibly important to reflect wholly on an experience and as Purdue University (2021) alludes to, “putting multiple perspectives into play with each other in order to produce insight” is something I can effectively do given my time at the AGF and the Saints.
At the Amy Gillett Foundation I am really pleased with my time there, I learnt so much from both my fellow interns and from everyone at the organisation. Being at a workplace which worked so hard to provide a service in road safety, adds that extra level of satisfaction, and makes me feel like I was doing something that impacts people for generations, which I am proud of. Although I didn’t get to attend the Gran Fondo in person, I received compliments from everyone at the organisation as to how great and impactful my work was, and I am proud with that. Having the opportunity to work closely with Katie (Events) and Dan (CEO) allowed me to really strengthen my knowledge across multiple facets of event management and creating professional documentation for corporate partnerships and general professional sponsorship use. Having the guidance of someone like Dan Kneipp was incredible, and for him to be so generous with his time and trusting of me to do these important corporate partnership and presentation documents, I couldn’t be more grateful to him for taking a chance on me and providing me with a launchpad into the industry.
Tumblr media
At the St Kilda Football Club, being able to experience what it was like being at a top tier sporting organisation was an incredible experience across the board. Heading into the internship I did have some experience and knowledge of HR as my mum is in that field however getting to work in contracts, awards, remunerations, and onboarding processes although somewhat repetitive, was extremely enjoyable and rewarding and I am now extremely confident with all of those processes. Also being in HR I got to work closely with majority of the organisation and created great relationships particularly with members of the marketing and finance teams. From my failed parking attempts in front of Ross Lyon to creating great relationships with my co-workers, I really enjoyed every second at the saints and I am extremely grateful to the organisation for welcoming me into such a well-respected and elite level organisation.
Tumblr media
Something that will stick with me for a long time and something that I will reflect on, is what Dan from AGF said following my internship presentation, he said “its not about whether you think you deserve a job or if you would like to work somewhere, its whether you have done enough to impact on the organisation or workplace in a meaningful way and whether they would hire you.” This will be a constant reminder to work hard, and always challenge myself to push my capabilities further, especially in sport, where the everchanging landscapes demand flexibility and hard work in all aspects of the business.
I am also proud to say that I have been offered a role at both the Amy Gillett Foundation and the St Kilda Football club, and I can’t wait to get started in whichever role I choose in 2023!
It’s been a blast!
Kyle :)

Gather embraces the riverfront location and history of Northshore as both a gathering space for the community and a historic place for Indigenous people to gather food.

The creative contribution of Gather is:
Tumblr media
Although there are other immersive experience centres, community gardens and cooking classes in Brisbane, extensive research failed to find any projects that combined all three elements and none had a historical and indigenous focus for the targeted audience. For example, Think Digital provided one-off virtual reality experiences in partnership with Woolworths at the Ekka (Gentle, 2022).
Tumblr media
Think Digital Farm VR (Gentle, 2022)
There are also numerous community gardens and kids cooking classes, such as the riverfront Rocks Riverside Park, a community garden at Seventeen Mile Rocks (Community Gardens Australia, n.d.). The University of Queensland also has a Bush Tucker Community Garden that hosts a range of edible indigenous bush plants (UQ, n.d.). However, Gather is original as it combines native food and history with an augmented reality educational program and hands on cooking experience. Students will discover how food is produced and be part of an immersive interactive experience as they don virtuality reality googles, plus create a nutritional lunch with ingredients harvested from the community garden.

Ahmed Idris, the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF) has been remanded in Kuje prison by a High Court sitting in Abuja, over his alleged involvement in the illegal diversion of public funds to the tune of about N109 billion. Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Idris on a 14-count charge bordering on conspiracy, criminal breach of trust and money laundering. The anti-graft agency which alleged that Idris and his co-defendants were indicted on a 14-count charge of stealing and criminal breach of trust to the tune of N109.5 billion, further revealed that the former AGF allegedly received gratification from one Olusegun Akindele, worth N15.1 billion, in exchange for accelerating the payment of 13% derivation to the nine oil-producing states in the federation. One of the charges read;  “That you, Ahmed Idris between February and December, 2021 at Abuja in the Abuja Judicial Division of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, being a public servant by virtue of your position as the Accountant General of the Federation accepted from Olusegun Akindele, a gratification in the aggregate sum of N15,136,221,921.46 ( Fifteen Billion, One Hundred and Thirty Six Million, Two Hundred and Twenty One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Twenty One Naira and Forty Six Kobo) which sum was converted to the United States Dollars by the said Olusegun Akindele and which sum did not form part of your lawful remuneration but as a motive for accelerating the payment of 13% derivation to the nine (9) oil producing Sates in the Federation, through the office of the Accountant General of the Federation, and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 155 of the Penal Code Act Cap 532 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990 and punishable under the same section.” Justice A.O. Adeyemi Ajayi who presided over the case on Friday July 22, ruled that Idris who was arraigned alongside Godfrey Olusegun Akindele and Mohammed Kudu Usman, and Gezawa Commodity Market and Exchange Limited, be remanded in Kuje prison.  This came after Rotimi Jacobs, EFCC counsel, asked the court to grant the prosecution leave to prefer a criminal charge under section 109 of ACJA against the defendants. Idris' counsel, Chris Uche however orally asked the court to grant bail to his client. He said the bail should be granted pending when he files a written bail application. Uche also said his client had to take the next available flight from Kano just to be able to make it for trial. Justice Ajayi however ordered that Idris and others be remanded in prison.
