I define a Sterek episode as one with a lot of scenes between them or a significant moment(s)/scene(s) between them.

I was wondering if you had any "Derek deserves nice things" fics? I went through the tags page and didn't see anything like it. Sterek pls? Thanks guys! ❤️

thealternativesource said:I’m sick and tired of the continued narrative that what Kate Argent did to Derek wasn’t sexual assault and that they should keep bringing her back over and over to victimize him on Teen Wolf. (Just watched Sundays episode.) Could you please give us some fics where she either bites the bullet or Derek confronts his past and overcomes it? Derek Hale deserves all the nice things! P.S. preferably sterek but I’m open to anything.
You’re right @yeahishipitbitch we don’t have a tag. But here’s a list for you and @thealternativesource! - Anastasia

Come Home to Me by ajeepandleather

Stiles works at a hotel and Derek is a very grumpy guest. I would love to see Stiles trying to do things to make Derek a happy guest but they just don’t go as planned.

“Valentine’s day is on Friday.”
“I know…”
“Do you have plans with anyone?”
“No, Stiles. I don’t have any plans.“
“I was thinking… do you, maybe, want to do something with me?”
“Sure. That sounds nice.”
“Oh, shit, I’m so sorry Stiles. I forgot to tell you.”
“Tell me what?”
“Erica’s date bailed, and she had these reservations… if she doesn’t go she’ll have to pay for cancelling so late and she didn’t want to go alone.”
“Erica’s date bailed? What a jerk. Okay so…”
“I’m gonna go with her.”
“…you’re gonna go with her?”
OR: The one where Stiles asks Derek on a Valentine’s date and Derek just… doesn’t get it.

There’s pining, misunderstandings, confusion, a little jealousy…
Stiles and Derek they have a nice thing, no one knows, yet. The issue is, they want their alpha to get lucky at the werewolf seminar, and well Stiles thinks Derek wants that too…

“If you can’t say the words, you’re not mature enough to know what they mean,” Scott tells him.
Stiles throws a french fry at him.
(In which Derek is secretly pining, Stiles is oblivious to both Derek’s feelings as well as his own, and any personal growth that happens in the mean time is completely reluctant.)

Derek is too big, and strong, and a werewolf. He knows perfectly well what men are and aren’t allowed to be.
Stiles would beg to differ.
In which there are pretty boys, flowers, panties, glitter, and Stiles gives a heartfelt fuck you to the concept of toxic masculinity.

It’s a beautiful afternoon, and Derek is standing at a dusty gas station, staring helplessly at the destroyed remains of the last thing his sister left him.
(OR: In which Derek expects nothing from life, but with a little help from the Stilinskis gets everything.)

Derek Hale didn’t expect for his mother to give him the alpha power. Especially not before he graduated high school. He also didn’t expect to meet another teenage alpha, Scott McCall. Or his human best friend, Stiles. He didn’t expect himself to be fixated on Stiles long and slender fingers. Or his exceptional skills in the kitchen. Derek didn’t expect a lot of things. Then again, sometimes that unexpected turned out to be a good thing.

"This is…not four million in cash,” remarks Stilinski.
“Isaac. Did you fail to get my money back and decided to pick up a stripper on the road to bribe me? Because let me make this perfectly clear: this would totally work. Well done.”
Or
The mafia!AU where the Hales owe four million to the Stilinskis, Laura rents Derek (but not as a stripper), Stiles gets a new favorite, Derek gets a new boss, a new puppy and a new family.
Sometimes they break people, but mainly, they just snark at each other.

Derek left Beacon Hills. Stiles is 17 and pregnant. Her father kicked her out, the Pack don’t give a shit about her since her baby is Derek’s. Somehow, she manages to find new family and home. Derek finds her and tries to win her forgiveness.

“Dude, you should totally come with me.”
“What? Like on the road trip?”
“No, come with me. To Austin. Get out of Beacon Hills.”
Derek paused. “What?” he asked again.

(30/30 I 65,762 I MAture)
Stiles’ first day at the FBI was also going to be his last. That had to be some kind of record, surely?…On his first day at the FBI, Stiles discovers that Derek is wanted for mass murder. Stiles knows that Derek’s innocent and is determined to find out who framed him.,

Derek has a new neighbor who won’t stop looking.
Excerpt:
“You’re blind,” Derek said flatly, the anger draining from him so suddenly he felt almost woozy. His vision cleared, his claws sliding back into blunt fingernails.
“Thanks for the memo, genius,” the kid said acidly. “I can still fucking defend myself, so don’t take another damn step.”
“Fuck, I…I’m sorry,” Derek stuttered.
“What?!” The kid’s brow crinkled. “I mean — what?! You’re fucking sorry!?” His lips thinned into a harsh line. “What, is this some kinda Hallmark movie where you’re discovering the error of your ways because you don’t want to rob a blind person?! That’s fucking condescending, man. I’ll have you know that —”
“Just, wait.” Derek interrupted what was apparently the start of a convincing argument as to why he should rob the kid after all, feeling his head start to spin. “This is — it’s a misunderstanding. I’m — I’m not robbing you. You’re — you’re safe, okay? I’m taking three steps back. Just — just let me explain.”
“Explain why you came busting into my apartment? Yeah, go right ahead, man, I can’t wait to hear this epic tale.”
The Moon’s Gonna Follow Me Home by turningterrific
(2/2 I 82,886 I Explicit)
Derek doesn’t want to call the window repair guy. He doesn’t want to sweep up the glass. He’ll inevitably miss a few shards and pull them out of the bottom of his bare feet for weeks.
He doesn’t want to try to make this place feel like home when it isn’t.
Derek stayed in Beacon Hills and tried to make it work because he wanted pack, wanted purpose. He gave his best effort and found himself back where he started: alone, with a few begrudging allies. He’s tired, and even though his werewolf body heals quickly, he feels the weary ache down to his center.
He packs his car with the few things he cares about enough to drag them from place to place. He locks the loft and calls a realtor about listing the building he’d bought in a misguided attempt to secure a future.
And then he leaves.
