Hi! I'm new to your blog but it's already my favorite ever! Especially the DAverse. It got me thinking though, how would Ransom react if Axel accidentally hurts one of the girls, especially Icy since she's the closest to Axel, and there's minor (but kind of bloody) injuries? My baby cousin and her dog got this kissy thing where they nuzzle each other's faces that has been going on since she was born, but recently, her dog kind of nuzzled a bit too hard and she ended up with a bloody top lip, but over all they're okay and besties again lol. It just made me wonder how Ransom would take a situation like that since I very very much love your work. Thank you for your time!

Welcome 🌻anon! I'm glad you're loving this ridiculously fast growing AU. I'm currently going to slowly start tweaking the AU a bit. There's been mood boards going up on older parts, but I also want to create a masterlist that's in chronological order, there will be a bit of a schedule for characters, and each character will an emoji, so it'll be easier to navigate the drabbles, I hope so...I usually over complicate things, so who knows 😂

Ugh...Axel is quite trained, and the girls are watched with him, because he is a dog. So this wouldn't happen. BUT let's for the sake of your ask say it did, Ransom would be dramatic as hell. It would be Kitten that would be not only calming Icy down, but Ransom who would be at a loss of what to do. Axel would be almost stressed out trying to apologize to Iris. Ransom knows how important Axel is not only to Kitten, but also Iris. Not to say that Aster doesn't love him, but Iris and him are kindred spirits.

We know that Papa Ransom responds way too quickly, but I think after Kitten calmed him down, he would see that it was an accident, and love on Iris, and reluctantly the dog he tolerates 😂 Usually if Ransom does the "tolerate" act, he actually loves them. He is a bit on the jealous side that Curtis got that dog for her.

But that big ole softie is going to need his own little TLC later that night. He'll feel awful for overreacting. Iris at an early age showed signs of anxiety, and even identity issues. He knows exactly how important that fur baby is to her. But Ransom has also witnessed some panic attacks from Kitten, and how Axel is so attentive and quick to help her. He does love that dog, and loves how he helps his family. Not to mention, he's really good at herding all those kids they have.

Axel would nudge even at Ransom's hand, asking for forgiveness, and Ransom would just pat on his head, "Okay, bub. I forgive you, but don't hurt our babies, got it?" his little tail will wag around, and he goes to Kitten with the same nudging before sitting in front of Iris with those sad puppy dog eyes.

"It's okay, Axel. I'm okay," as she gives him the biggest hug. Those two just have such a special bond. That's Kitten's dog, but still apart of Iris. He even sleeps in the room with Iris. Her little hand hanging over the bed on his fur, and as soon as her mom and dad leave for bedtime kisses, she taps on the bed and lets Axel get up there with her. It works out well, since she's a bit cold natured. He keeps her warm.

*Axel is never replaced when he passes 🥺 but Iris does eventually get a dog, and then Story's boys get a dog, Ollie, and eventually Carter gets her, her own girl dog. We love the puppies in this AU.

THEM!!! i love them SO much you have no idea sometimes i think about them and just start to tear up and i do not cry easily this is just. they make me so emotional 🥺😭 they're THE otp for me y'know? there are only a couple of others pairing that come even close to this level and most of them aren't canon which. probably means something but idk.

they're just,,,they're so GOOD. they had an amazing build up, they communicate and care about each other and love each other SO much but they choose to love each other!! every single day they're choosing to put in the effort to maintain this relationship, and whenever they have problems they choose to work through them together even if there are bumps along the way and just. i. i love them SO much i am unwell ugh. i just. them 💕

2. dickkory

holy shit the two of them i. im 🥺 i love them they’re one of my otp’s in fact my ideal ships for dick are dickkory and dickroy they’re so fucking CUTE together!! they helped each other grow and their relationship benefited both of them in different ways—kory helped dick learn how to actually acknowledge and process his emotions, dick helped with kory’s impulsiveness and loved and cared about her SO MUCH it’s truly terrible that all of this was erased </3

also i love the contrasts in their relationship so much. kory’s guided by her emotions, dick is more grounded and logical and leads with his head. they’re both so intense and passionate but in different ways and i love that for them 🥰 in general they have such a special bond and it makes me very emotional i love them a lot <3

GOD brutalia. it’s seven in the morning and i’m just. she literally told him “i offer you all that i am” literally how am i supposed to recover from that

they’re just,,,they have this air of inherent tragedy around them. in the early days they were never really together, not until talia actually started to become more independent from ra’s, which is when i’d say their relationship really flourished, and they both love each other so much but they can never really stay together, y’know? and their relationship is inherently doomed but that never stops them from loving each other. talia gave up their baby bc she knew bruce would kill himself trying to protect them and she couldn’t bear that, and she knew it would rip them apart and just how much it would hurt her but she did it anyways bc she simply couldn’t bear the thought of losing him im. im not okay fuck

and like. i particularly love what this relationship did for talia, bc when bruce was around i feel like she was more bold when it came to ra’s. and she never really wanted to be what her father wanted for her, but she knew the ideas of freedom and leaving the league were impossible under ra’s control—like she genuinely, explicitly said that. it’s only after she fell in love with bruce that i feel like talia realized that dream was actually in reach, and then her want for independence started to grow and she rebelled against her father more, and her relationship with bruce was a huge part in that and idk. i feel like he was sort of the personification of freedom from the life ra’s wanted her to lead for a very long time and ugh. i have so many thoughts about them

4. dinahollie

okay i WILL be honest here—most of my knowledge here comes from ga vol 3 and ga/bc which isn’t exactly the best dinahollie writing however there were still good things ESPECIALLY before winnick took over like?? their reunion?? when dinah just wanted ollie to call her pretty bird?? you don’t understand that means So Much to me 🥺

one thing that i really like about them is that they’re a duo—they’re supposed to be partners and it isn’t like a gimmick or anything they’re just two people fighting together for the same thing and i love that for them <3 and like. people say that dinah deserves better than ollie or whatever and maybe she does!! maybe she DOES deserve better than him but y’know what that’s not how love works!! dinah has her flaws and ollie has his flaws and despite or in spite of that they choose to love each other and they’ve chosen each other over and over again in so many different worlds

i don’t know a lot about them tbh—like you know this i’ve mentioned it before but i haven’t read a lot of carol’s stuff and even hal i usually read more for lore than personal interest, because while i DO like both of them kyle is always my priority when it comes to reading gl stuff.

HOWEVER. they’re amazing. they’ve gone through so much at this point and like. their silver age shenanigans from what i’ve heard and the handful of issues i’ve read were honestly hilarious but anyways they’re just,,,they’re so. ugh. i can’t even articulate it but like?? “you don’t have to pretend with me” “if anyone could’ve made me settle down it would’ve been you” “letting her go was the worst mistake of my life” and and and “i love you carol” “then go get me” HELLO??? THEY’RE SO??? i love them sm 🥺 (also they’re both SO gorgeous which definitely helps a lot skdfkhg but yeah there’s something about them that just makes me go 🥰 whenever i think about then y’know)
