I'm always happy to get asks about Aurora! I'm just not very good about responding to them -pointedly looks away from the ask about her relationship with Lucien that's been sitting in my inbox for months-

Your question is also timely because Aurora's birthday is in about a month!

As a human, Aurora hated her birthday because her mother died giving birth to her, and she therefore blamed herself (I'm sure that the Count did as well). Aurora then spent her next hundred birthdays believing herself to be Rebekah. I think "hating" her birthday is something that helped Aurora distinguish "Aurora" from "Rebekah." I also think at that point it was difficult for her to know exactly when her birthday was, and to this day, Aurora does not know exactly when her birthday is except in very specific modern human verses where Aurora would absolutely be a basic birthday month type of princess. Honestly, it's a running joke on my blog at this point that if someone asks Aurora how old she is/when her birthday is, she just directs them to Tristan who does, in fact, know exactly when Aurora's birthday is. In verses with Lex, Tristan spoils Aurora excessively so she that is usually her favorite part of her birthday.

This work presents what the concept of beauty means to each of the five Moon siblings.

For Princess Mercury, beauty is intelligence. She thinks that reading books is an act of elegance as it helps you acquire knowledge. For her, a chess game is a chance to showcase her beauty - which is her intelligence and strategy. The books in her bookshelves are mostly numbered volumes of a book series, which suggest her interest for in-depth knowledge acquisition through reading. The chess game is shown through the holographic interface on top of the bookshelf, suggesting the high level of technology in the Moon Kingdom.

For Princess Venus, beauty is the result of making effort to design and build your appearance and outfit, so that each part of your attire complement with each other as well as yourself, thus making you look pretty and fashionable. This is also the first time I've drew the back view of a Sailor Moon character, since I think a mirror would fit Princess Venus's room the best. You might recognize Princess Aurora's gown in green color next to Princess Venus, because in my fic, it was gifted by Venus to Aurora when she came to the Moon. Princess Venus's sword is also present, and by the time she is 14, she had trained her sword skills for 5 years, since she received it as a gift from her mother upon her 9th birthday.

For Princess Mars, beauty is to let go of your desires and worries, and connect and unite yourself with the cosmic side of the Force. Much like Rei Hino in the present day, Princess Mars also uses fire divination to see into the future. Princess Mars has once correctly predicted Princess Venus receiving a sword as her birthday gift, days before her birthday.

For Princess Jupiter, beauty is treasuring and cherishing all the gifts that are naturally given to you, as well as loving yourself for who you are and what you are made of. In this work, she is not wearing her princess dress, but her training outfit. She is not afraid of showcasing her tall, strong and developed figure and physique. She is depicted holding up a heavy and large five-storey electric oven, where pastries are being baked. This simultaneously reflects the naturally given strength of the Sailor Guardian of Jupiter, as well as her innate fondness for cooking and baking. Since Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar system, a Sailor Guardian has to be strong enough to channel its power, and hence, Princess Jupiter grows at a faster rate than her siblings, and is hence taller, stronger and more developed, as if she is the de facto oldest sister out of the five. My later calculations has shown that her arms are 2.2 times as big as her brother's, and her "talents" are 6 times as big than her other sisters' average.

For Prince Serenity, beauty comes from the purity inside him and inside his heart. He believed that a pure heart of compassion is the essence of being the Prince of the Moon and the future wielder of the Silver Crystal. Right after his birth, he was cursed by "Queen" Nehelenia, who intends to usurp the throne of the Moon Kingdom, but fortunately, he was raised with the love of his mother and his four sisters, as a graceful, cheerful and compassionate boy. The scene is a redraw of the scene in Episode 44 of the Sailor Moon anime where his female counterpart, Princess Serenity, looks out to the sky from the Moon Palace's balconies.

Planets + the Sun and Pluto! I'll have their individual characters drawn out to show off their full designs soon~

Some things I couldn't exactly translate into their designs clearly:

• Earth's eyes are often described to be "old with young ambition"; beautiful like an Aurora.

• Earth has a very large patch of ice extending from her lower back to her shoulder blades; the size slowly dwindles everyday.

• Earth's glasses represents the atmosphere.

• Earth runs a library among her inhabitants.

• Earth's inhabitants constantly mistake her as Mother Nature but she is the furthest thing from Nature. She can't even control Nature. Nature certainly is her wild child....

• The curl in Sun's hair is a solar flare!

• Sun wears a big comfy coat to keep warm from the cold vastness of space. He lends the coat to whomever in the house if they're cold or he offers to share his warmth with a big hug. Very small thin threads of hydrogen fall of it everyday as he passes it around.

• Sun has a swirly cane that when he walks causes small, yet powerful nonetheless, flares to swirl up.

• Sun may not be any of their real father but he personally likes to treat them as his kids. Earth treats him as a father figure the most.

• Jupiter's hat is the moon Ganymede! He has many other hats that represent the other moons as well. He alternates every cycle.

• Saturn may look fancy and stuck up but she's actually a big sweetheart!

• Saturn alternates which rings she wears every cycle.

• Saturn has over 82 dogs representing her satellites. She maybe hiding an additional 29 however...

• Neptune's moons are her piercings!

• Uranus does gymnastics and yoga. His favorite activity is Lyria. He's very active if you couldn't tell.

• Uranus has 27 freckles in total. 3 are on his nose, 24 on his back.

• Venus carries a battery powered fan as well as a folding hand fan with her at all times. Its very hot in her room. Her AC broke :(

• Mercury carries a hand fan with him too. His AC broke as well. Luckily its not as hot as Venus' room, despite being the closest to Sun's room.

• Mercury has a pet tarantula.

• Mars is happy and smiles a lot because of the attention Earth's inhabitants give her. She doesn't have an inflated ego, she's just happy to have company with those peculiar metal dogs they send her.

• Pluto just wants company and a nice blanket, maybe even a hug from Sun.

• The planets didn't kick Pluto out. They forgot to give her the new key to the house. Regardless it hurts to be forgotten and left out, especially by those weird inhabitants Earth houses.
