calling toji a good father is a step too far, i think, given the best measure of that is the results of your actions more than the intentions behind them. tojis intentions are up for debate, and you could say a lot about that! but it IS funny that your argument (partially) is that its pathetic he needs gojo to take care of megumi after gojo kills him. like. sorry hes dead after he was murdered!

Whether or not toji cared about megumi is up for debate. He certainly didn't dislike him, as we can see from his actions after he reincarnates, and he remembered megumi in his last moments the first time round, too.

However, what you've picked out is my statement about gojo then rescuing megumi. I mean, of course toji can't look after megumi once he's dead ... But he wasn't looking after him while he was alive anyway.

There are two layers to what I said: one, which is the one you noticed, was that toji chose an EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD (so, not even a legal adult) to safeguard his young son. This teenager didn't manage to protect the young girl he was originally charged with, AND is also a murderer by the time he kills toji. Ooh, good choice of guardian! (DONT @ ME FOR THIS ONE IM A GOJO STAN IM JUST BEING REALISTIC)

However, the second layer is one you skipped over, but it's the main point I'm trying to make. TOJI SOLD MEGUMI OFF. And if selling your small son off isn't bad enough, he was sold to a family that Toji knows firsthand will be controlling, power hungry, and abusive. Toji knows megumi will be raised as a weapon. Toji knows tsumiki will be made a slave or worse. Toji knows they will endure a never ending cycle of horrors.

To me, spending your whole life trying to escape a family, changing your name, decimating your cursed energy to avoid them, and then KNOWINGLY SELLING YOUR CHILDREN BACK TO THEM is the peak of bad parenting. Who the fuck sells their child into abuse on purpose??

Toji does. And toji makes gojo (again, a HIGH SCHOOLER) go save them.
