Update

Hello friends! This update is long over due sorry that I lowkeye disappeared but I wanted to come on here and let you all know that I'm alive and I'm not going anywhere. (Warning: surgery, cancer, hospitalization,)

Life kind of got messy in January. As many of you know, my dad has been battling cancer and his health took a turn for the worse. He had to be hospitalized and had to have surgery. Thankfully, he's on the mend and is officially done with cancer treatment. So my mind was all over the place and it was not on writing lol.

On a more positive note, my best friend came to visit me and we went to NYC where we saw a Broadway show and my girlfriend proposed! So I get to plan a wedding, which is exciting, scary, and overwhelming.

I am also a part of a new gaming group that I created with my friends called Chaotically Queer, you can follow us on Tik Tok.

I am taking this weekend to hopefully work on my stories and come up with a schedule that is not very overwhelming so I can start posting more!

jarring realization that i haven't actually haven't done a proper introduction post — no time like the present I suppose?

Anyways you can refer to me as either Poet or Lexi ( or any variation of those two nicknames, Poe, Lex, etc. ). I am nineteen years old ( as of June 2021, because I will no doubt forget to update this as I age so please feel free to do that math ) and go by any pronouns ( although I must ask if we are not close, please stick to she / they ). I'm currently in college pursuing a degree in english, with hopes of being an editor in the future. I've been writing since I was eleven years old and like to think I've gotten pretty good at it. This is my first time posting any work on Tumblr, despite being a reader of stories on here for quite some time.

I am a self-proclaimed "war boy enjoyer" — so you can safely assume I've watched Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and a few different films. Haven't gotten around to Generation Kill quite yet. Outside of period pieces, I enjoy tolkienverse, animanga, and thai dramas primarily. I also play a lot of Dungeons & Dragons and play a lot of video games ( and for all our sakes I am a Gemini, ENXP, and 8w7 ). I’ve got a puppy named Loki who likes to bite my hands to prevent me from writing, and I’m prone to impulse posting AUs at 3am because all of my friends are enablers (affectionate).

My pride and joy, my current focus work is Sad, Beautiful, Tragic, which you can read here on Tumblr and here on AO3. It’s sister work and some extra fun bits are also posted on my AO3. I’ve also got an OC Masterlist here featuring some OCs from my next work, With A Fighting Heart, which I am quite fond of. They’ve got their respective tags if you’d like to read about them too.

Hi friends. I know I’ve been a little MIA so I’m sorry. I’m trying to finish a one shot tonight to post but I wanted to give you all a little life update.

My dad had a doctors appointment today and they still are waiting for the results. But my dad is a blunt man and asked his doctor straight out what he thinks is going on. Doctor said that all the signs are pointing that my dad has cancer. They can’t do anything until they get the results so it’s still a waiting game. Since I don’t share a lot of personal stuff on here, my mom had breast cancer when I was in high school (she’s in remission), my grandmother passed away during COVID, and now this. Life just seems a little unfair at that moment, you know? But I’m trying to stay positive and I’ll keep you all updated.

It's impossible for me to write short one shots.

If I'm writing a part two of a story, it's going to have a lot of angst. It's impossible for me to not traumatize my characters.

Hi friends! I've been getting a lot of messages about when I'm going to be updating my stories so I wanted to give a little update so everyone can see it. To make a long story short, none of my works are abandoned. I have every intention of finishing every one that I've started. I've just been struggling to keep my brain focused lol.

My plan is to post requests on Sunday and one shots on Wednesday and Thursday with a chapter of either Second Chance or Lightning Bug on Friday. My goal is to focus on Part 2/3 of stories that people have been waiting for before the holiday season!

So, this week I may not be as active on posting. I’m gonna try to get the next chapter of lightning bug or second chance out on Wednesday or Thursday. Behind the scenes, I’m working on all the current one shots from the Family is More Than Blood AU I have open to post starting Monday the 30th. Which consists of 5 one shots, 2 What Ifs and the other three will add to the main story. I started working on Matryoshka this weekend and I’m very excited to share that with you all.

Oh life update! My dad got his PET scan results back and the cancer has not spread! So, we are just looking at a few long months of chemotherapy and radiation.

I'm gonna be honest with you all, I Do the part 2 of Marry Me is not gonna be done tonight. I wasn't great at my time management this weekend plus my parents moved back to New York so I've been spread super thin. I'm gonna try to get it done and post it tomorrow morning or afternoon.
