The titles of each Infinity Train book go so well with the energy and tone of the books themselves... Like, we have The Perennial Child, which is clever and fun! Refers directly to Tulip because she is the uncontested protagonist, and she kicked off the show for us (everyone say thank you to the onion loving gamer). Then there’s Cracked Reflection which is like, oooh chills! Obviously about Lake, and how they split away from the mirror world and became a sliver. But also, there’s Jesse who tries to make everyone happy, turning himself into a reflection of sorts. The title makes it seem like it’s all going to be really straight forward, but then it isn’t. Then we have The Cult of the Conductor, which is chilling for real this time. It’s like, oh wow, that’s rather intense huh? But hey, it’s appropriate for the themes of the show, and it doesn’t try to pretend to be happier or more laid back than it is. And finally, Duet. Like, aww this is so good :) They literally have a band, and they’re soulmates, nice!
