hi hello milflewis/niamh/ma'am. i hope you are having an absolutely wonderful evening. if you don't mind, i would also like to tell you a little bit about my evening.

you see, i was having a pretty good time. a great time even. i read some piarles mini-fics. reblogged some art and edits. things were wonderful! then i got to galex. specifically, akira's latest galex.

now, i think you might have a suspicion as to where this is headed. i, however, remained blissfully innocent. i thought "awww akira fic 🥰" and yes, i noticed that there was ferwis in the tags and askline. but i thought, come on, akira wouldn't REALLY do that. not truly. and so i clicked on it.

and what i read next can most accurately be summed up by my tags to akira's post. to cut a long story short though - i lost it. i am still staring at the wall. this feels like the first time i read that cursed "jar jar binks is hung like a fucking whale" post. i may never recover. just when i think i can be sane again, i think of lewis' hand in fernando's pant -- ominous gunshots.

anyways yes. i have been reliably told that you are in fact the person to be blamed for this madness. so that is what i am here to do. while i hope you did have a lovely evening, i would like you to know that i will now be forwarding my therapy bills to you as well.

♤~ At the mention of the game’s name, all of them instantly perk up and swivel their heads into one direction: KanSumi. Who grins at them all with the smuggest face in the world. Bint Khattar sighs loudly as Gallidi chuckles nervously and Kraitan huffs. Clearing their throat as they take up the mantle of explaining, KanSumi restrains themself from giggling. ~♤

“Civilised is not in the dictionary when Uno exists. I,” they exclaim proudly, “am the one who taught them all how to play. We aren’t super competitive or anything but we aren’t very peaceful either.”

Bint Khattar adds in with a smug smirk.

“It’s normally me who wins as the others play their cards uselessly.”

Kraitan protests, betrayed surprise washing over his face.

“Hey!! We’ve all won quite a few times!! It’s not always you or N-”

KanSumi interrupts with a grin.

“They’re both saying that but just yesterday I destroyed them all in the best way possible and they’re still pissy about it.”

They stick their tongue out at the other two who glare at them as Gallidi sighs and explains to you.

“Somehow... KanSumi’s last few cards were all +4s or +2s... so for three turns straight... they just added and added onto our piles... before winning the whole thing with a +2.”

He doesn’t look as annoyed at the fact as the other two but he still seems displeased. Slowly though, his expressions fits into a smile as he continue.

“But... they make it very fun for us... so it’s still really enjoyable.”

Kraitan nods, snapping his fingers with a grin.

“That’s right! Honestly, they bring up really fun ways to play the game all the time. Like if we just recently watched a movie, we have to imitate a character as we put down our card and the others guess who it is!”

Bint Khattar sighs and taps one of the scales under her eyes.

“My favourite is when we did impressions of the vices and dorm leaders and had to guess the dorm.”

KanSumi and Kraitan started bursting of laughter as she smirked with a wistful smile. Barely recovering from their giggles, KanSumi pointed at her.

“She killed us all with her impression of Viper-senpai’s deadpan- it was so good!!! It was like he was staring at us through her!”

Gallidi joined in with a sleepy snicker.

“Kraitan did really good... with imitating Rosehearts-senpai too... he did it when he had a red card... which was even more perfect.”

Snapping their fingers, KanSumi’s eyes sparkled brightly.

“Ooooh~ Gallidi you gave me a great idea for a game! Let’s play it tonight.”

Looking back at you, they smile softly and beckon.

“Say, while you’re here, why don’t you join us?”

;; I’ve seen lots of differing opinions on the send people asks debate lately, and I just want to gently weigh in with the idea of being mindful of the memes you are reblogging.

That’s not to say don’t reblog the kinds of scenarios you want to write or anything like that, but rather pay attention to the memes you reblog most. Examine what prompts you keep reblogging over and over. What kind are they? What genre are they? Are they primarily shippy? Sexy? Things that mandate some kind of relationship be established between two characters in order to work at all? Now look at your blog and its content. How many people does your character actually know? Friends? Lovers? How many are casual acquaintances? Enemies? Take stock of all these kinds of things because sometimes you can find the answer to why don’t I get asks? right there.

I understand the temptation to want to reblog those more dramatic memes like ‘send for my character’s last words to yours’ or ‘my character has suffered a fatal wound and yours holds them as they die’ or even ‘my character has no memory of yours, my god, what do’ -- and there’s nothing wrong with wanting those prompts! But you also need to keep in mind how realistic it is to expect people to send in for those prompts if your character doesn’t have any current relationships that make those prompts even possible in the first place. People definitely like to write and read things that give them The Feels™, but a huge part of what makes those prompts so appealing is that so often they require the character or characters involved go through some sort of struggle to come out the other side. They usually have to sort through difficult or complex emotions like love or loss, and they might even find their view points challenged by the scenario -- and those are all really, really fun to write. Anyone who knows me knows I love a good character development opportunity, and I myself love those prompts that make both me and Ane think before I can come up with a reply. But the thing is that complex emotions mandate you treating them like they actually are complex, not something that can just be whipped up for the sake of a prompt. Trying to force a scenario usually means it won’t go anywhere in the end, and what you do end up with is often contrived and mechanical. It won’t flow naturally because you didn’t allow the time for it to build up naturally. And so, more often than not, if you favor reblogging these kinds of prompts without the foundation/backbone to support them and little else, you likely won’t get any bites on your askline. 

It’s not because your character isn’t interesting or that you haven’t put in enough love into their creation -- it’s more that they don’t have the necessary connections yet to get those scenes going with the momentum necessary to keep them going. If your prompts typically require our characters already have a decent relationship established and they don’t... well, you see the issue there. So make sure you’re also mixing in good introductory memes in there, too, so your character can start making the connections.

And if you’re reblogging those more general asks or memes and still getting nothing? Write those prompts anyway. Turn them into drabbles. Turn them into headcanons. Take those opportunities when you don’t get an ask or a prompt you were really hoping for and turn them into ways for other people to learn about your character by writing them out on your own. Make them into something productive, something that serves your character’s development and depth, rather than just a dead and unanswered meme that collects dust in your archive. Don’t let all your validation and self-worth as a creative entity hinge entirely on the attentions of others. I had seen the idea that writers write to be read, and while that’s true, I also think writers also write just to write. The creativity is coming from inside you, not from inside others, so don’t let the fact someone hasn’t sent you an ask or a prompt be what bottles it up.

Approach others for roleplay. Yes, you go to them. Push yourself out of your comfort zone rather than waiting for asks to do the work for you. If you hang all of your interactions on what is essentially roleplay’s equivalent of RNG, you’re going to likely end up disappointed when the number of asks dwindles or never picks up in the first place. Send asks and memes of your own, and not only so that someone will send them back to you. Show people all the work you’ve put into your characters rather than just telling them. Put in the hours required to establish relationships and build them up in order to use that prompt you were really eyeing.

Roleplay is a relationship, and like any relationship it requires work on both sides. Make sure you’re indulging in some self-examination about your own efforts -- what can you be doing differently to make finding roleplay easier? to be a better roleplay partner? to be more open and approachable? -- before deciding your lack of interactions is 100% the fault of others.

RADARSUKABUMI.com – Sebanyak 65 peserta mengikuti Sosialisasi Pengelolaan Limbah Medis untuk Klinik dan Praktek Swasta di Kota Sukabumi pada 5 Oktober 2019 di Hotel Fresh, Kota Sukabumi.

Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan Asosiasi Klinik Indonesia (Asklin) Kota Sukabumi. Ketua Panitia acara yang juga Koordinator Bidang Kemitraan Asklin Kota Sukabumi, dr Wahyu Hendriana menyebutkan ke-65 peserta yang mengikuti sosialisasi tersebut terdiri dari pihak klinik, dokter praktek, dokter gigi praktek, dan bidan praktek.

Adapun untuk keanggotaan Asklin se-Kota Sukabumi sendiri menurut Wahyu sebanyak 22 orang. Dihadiri juga Sekretaris Dinas Kesehatan Kota Sukabumi Yudi Yustiawan, Ketua Asklin Kota Sukabumi, dr Kote Nordhianta SpTHT KL, Wakil Ketua Asklin Kota Sukabumi, drg Suhendro Rusli, dan jajaran pengurus Asklin Kota Sukabumi lainnya.

Pada sosialisasi yang dibuka Sekretaris Dinas Kesehatan Kota Sukabumi, Yudi Yustiawan tersebut menghadirkan nara sumber dari Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) Kota Sukabumi, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Sukabumi, dan pihak perusahaan pengelola limbah medis dan B3.

“Mudah-mudahan dengan diselenggarakannya sosialisasi ini maka fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan bisa mengelola limbah medisnya secara baik dan benar sehingga tidak mencemari lingkungan,”tuturnya seraya berharap. (dit)
