This is very silly but hear me out, child Reagan possibly referring to jr as an uncle- idk I just found it wholesome- part of me thinks maybe jr was involved in Reagan’s childhood or something/ and I mean Reagan has been involved since she was 13 so it’s possible they have a familiar bond but this is extremely goofy though.

BECAUSE LIKE <333 with how clearly invested Rand is in the company, there's no way that Reagan and JR wouldn't have interacted during her childhood?

Rand having JR over to discuss plans while Reagan sits in the living-room fiddling with a toaster, for ex. smdnsdm. She kinda gets used to JR’s presence in the house?

RAND is absolutely the one who introduces the 'This is your Uncle JR' thing bc theres no way he wouldn't use this as an excuse to pawn off Reagan-

eventually as Rand becomes,, more and more neglefctful (not that he wasn't already, just,,, I get the vibe that it just kept getting worse as Reagan aged!!) JR started to take a larger role in Reagan's childhood.

It started as little things - picking her up from school when Rand had to be in a meeting, Rand tricking JR into babysitting by having him come to the house when he had to 'run and errand', etc until eventually Reagan was getting dropped off at JR's house for full weeks because Rand was 'too busy' :/

and JR is,, SHIT with kids. Like absolutely horrible, he has no idea how to talk to them, but he also he’d feel so bad if he just ignored her???? He does his best smndsmd.

 it's kinda always had that Mentor-Student vibe w/ them? He would sit her down in front of a filing cabinet and have her sort through papers he doesn't wanna deal with. The little genius even starts offering tips on how to improve efficiency? They chat absently about stocks n shit because,,, he has no personality outside of work and she actually understands pretty well???? 

she's lowkey an intern through her entire teenage years lmao.

She tends to either sleep in his spare bedroom or passes out on the couch in his office, depending on where exactly Rand left her smdnsd.

OH AND,, WITHOUT FAIL he buys her cocoa before she goes home - just,, a little smth nice to wrap it up... Cause there's no easy way to make a kid feel better about the fact that their dad is 'too busy' for them.

With the way both of them are as people they just,, naturally shift from Uncle-Niece into Boss-Underling? IDK IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE.

BUT YEA BY THE TIME SHES ACTUALLY,, /WORKING/ THERE? THERE'S ABSOLUTELY ALREADY A DYNAMIC!! its part of the reason Cognito feels like such a home-away-from-home for her.

SHE ABSOLUTELY STILL SLIPS UP AND CALLS HIM UNCLE JR SOMETIMES. Depending on his mood he'll either crack up laughing or get Equally Embarrassed as her. Its adorable.
