cw// mini (fairy) yeonjun pt 3
soobin was only just beginning to adapt to living with a fairy when he had to face his next hurdle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
on a cloudy friday afternoon, soobin was in the kitchen again. he finally baked a good pie filled with strawberry, the previous ones either being undercooked or over. he was excitedly preparing sliced strawberries for the decoration when he heard knocks on his front door.
panicked, he quickly wiped his hands on his apron and went to the living room. the human made eye contact with an equally wide-eyed fairy, who was previously watching tv while munching on whole strawberries. soobin wildly gestured for yeonjun to go to his bedroom while he answered the door, but it only looked on questioningly.
at another set of knocks, he shouted, "just a minute!", as he got the fairy into his room before heading to the door.
"what took you so long?" on his porch stood taehyun with a cat cage and a small backpack in tow, soobn took in the sight with a curious look.
"if you didn't guess it already, i was baking." he said as he gestured at his apron. the younger huffed before entering the house. he took a seat on the living room sofa before explaining his reason of visit, long story short, soobin now lived in a house with a fairy and a feline named 'tyun'.
"you named the cat after yourself?"
"problem?" the glare from taehyun immediately got his hands up in defense.
"none."
after the younger left, he'd set up the food and water bowls, litter box, and cat tower as he was instructed. while the cat sniffed his sofa, he went back to his room.
"yeonjun?"
"soobin! over here, look!" the fairy was peering out the window, cheek pressed against the glass. standing behind the fairy, soobin tried to see what it was pointing out to him.
"what is it?"
"there! don't you see it?"
"no, what am i supposed to be seeing?"
"the cocoon!"
with the object specified, soobin squinted again and finally saw it dangling from the window handle. "the caterpillar was my friend in the garden and i totally forgot it made its cocoon here."
the fairy continued looking at its friend's unmoving form in awe. "do you know how much longer it'll take?"
"no, but I'm sure it won't take that long." soobin didn't have the heart to refute. instead, he brought up another important matter.
"there's someone I need you to meet." the fairy allowed soobin to carry it in his chest pocket, 'for safety', he'd said, and yeonjun couldn't help the twinge of fear. when they finally reached the living room, it gasped.
"kitty!" yeonjun clammered in its confines, trying to get out and rush to the furry feline. "soobin help me!"
the human held back a chuckle at its frenzied state, his heart skipping a beat at the cuteness he just winessed. "here," he said as he offered his paim. as they approached tyun, soobin started to worry, will the cat like the fairy? it should, right? since the fairy could sort of communicate with animals? but the worries weren't false.
when yeonjun reached out to pet the cat, it flinched and hissed before running away.
now, in soobin's hand was a sulky, pouty fairy. it whined as it watched the cat running around the house. "why doesn't it like me?" the human only hummed in sympathy, offering a finger from his other hand as consolation.
seeing the appendage come close, yeonjun pulled it closer and hugged it tight. it rested its cheek against the finger and continued whining and whimpering as it witnessed the cat's fluffy cuteness.
"it's not fair, what'd i do!"
"shh, it's okay, tyun will come around." the fairy buried its face against the skin of the finger in its arms. feeling slight wetness, scobin inspected the yeonjun closer. "are you... crying?"
"no!" it sobbed.
"c'mon, we'll get you some strawberries, hm? it's okay, shh, it's okay, junnie."
yeonjun was finally quiet now but he chomped on the strawberries like he held a personal grudge. his eyes still trained on the cat whenever it came to view, otherwise he would blankly stare at the tv screen.
soobin held back his laugh.
"how about you feed it a snack later?"
"can i?"
"we can try," soobin said as he shrugged. it can't be that bad. and it wasn't that bad, kinda. other than the fact that tyun knocked yeonjun into its water bowl earlier, and now said fairy was running after the feline.
"yeonjun, be careful!" his eyes struggle to keep up as he righted any objects that got bumped into. his eyebrows scrunch in worry as he watched the tiny fairy attempt to chase the cat with a metal spoon in its hands, the same spoon it had used to offer (snacks) its friendship earlier. getting lost in his thoughts, soobin's daze got cut off when he heard tyun hiss out of his vision.
"tyun? where are you, kitty?" he asked.
in the same moment yeonjun, screamed- "soobin, help!"
then, from under the couch, the fairy appeared but it started running again. except this time, the cat was doing the chasing. luckily, soobin was a trained petsitter and managed to catch tyun before the cat could get far.
"shh, it's okay, did yeonjun bother you?" he asked as he patted the cat in his arms, hand twisted a little to reach her head. yeonjun pouted from where he stood under a dining chair.
"she started it!"
"yeonjun..." the fairy huffed at the scolding gaze that was sent his way, all too familiar with it. it left for the bedroom shortly after, not wanting to see his human consoling the enemy any longer. once tyun was asleep on her catbed, he took a picture to send to her owner. confirming that the text got delivered, he pocketed his phone before tidying up the house for the night. he closed the tv, threw away used litter, switched off lights and all his other nightly routines.
by the time he was done, it was 10pm, an hour later than usual. he sighed as he stepped into the shower. the next three days were gonna be long for him, he thought to himself. rinsing off the soap suds, the scent suddenly reminded him of the fairy's first bath. he smiled then.
entering his room with only a towel felt like a punishment. somewhere in the time it took him to calm tyun down, yeonjun had found the aircon remote and turned it on. he quickly went through his drawers to find some pyjamas to wear, nearly tripping while pulling on the pants.
"yeonjun? are you asleep?" he asked as he approached the bed. he lifted the blanket a little and in the centre of his side of the bed was the fairy, curled up in a sad silhouette. "what's wrong?"
"nothing," it mumbled, making no move to give space for the human to lay rest.
"can i lay down with you?" the fairy only hummed as it shrugged, its position making the movement look smaller than usual. soobin sighed through his nose, not really knowing what to do with a non-responsive yeonjun.
he was used to the loud, emotional yeonjun. the expressive, dramatic yeonjun.
the yeonjun who pouted when soobin took away its strawberries. the yeonjun who gasped at every bee that buzzed by the window. the yeonjun who whined to sleep with his rabbit plush even though it had one of its own.
this yeonjun was new to him.
soobin grabbed the two rabbit plushies on yeonjun's side of the bed and climbed on. "wanna sleep with bunny tonight?" he offered his own plushie to the fairy but, with its back still turned to the human, it shook its head. "you sure?"
he didn't receive any response after that. hugging both rabbits, one in the crevice of each arm, he lied on his back to face the ceiling.
"i'm sure tyun will warm up to you eventually. you still have two more days to get to know each other so we'll work on it again tomorrow, okay?" he turned his head to his side but there was no movement from yeonjun. soobin sighed, turning so his back faced the fairy before sleep took over.
in the dark, the fairy's eyes were wide open, wings fluttering weakly at every soft snore the human let out.
yeonjun hated this. being a disappointment, being a burden. he'd left the land of the fae exactly for this reason but nothing had changed. barely any animals still spoke to him after he'd ran away, his name shunned by his own people.
for hours, he laid there, barely breathing as he got lost in his own thoughts. he was only pulled out of them when he heard scratching outside of the room. he peeked to see soobin still snoring away, though now on his back rather than his side.
the fairy snuck away, struggling with all the movements needed to reach the door from the bed.
fortunately, the bed wasn't too high up.
unfortunately, he couldn't say the same for the door handle.
with the help of a nearby cabinet and a little force from his nearly-useless wings, he managed to get on the handle. yeonjun tested his luck first, jumping a little on the metal. it rattled a bit, the noise making him flinch and immediately look to soobin's figure.
the human snorted a bit before rolling on his side, head turned away from the fairy. he started snoring again not long after so yeonjun tried again.
he jumped and jumped, adding more force with each try. he almost got it, heard the hinge get caught before it went back in a place. just a little more and it'll open. he kept jumping until-
click
'yes!' he screamed in his head, but in the next second, he felt his foot slipping. 'uh oh.'
when he opened his eyes again, there was a soft breeze blowing from behind him and from atop him. he squinted to see past the wind and saw two beady eyes staring right at him in the soft sunlight. he gasped, scurrying backwards 'til he hit the door. the breeze from under it still blew into the room, causing him to shiver.
at a quiet thump, his gaze fixated onto the creature in front him, slowly stalking towards him.
"hey, kitty..," he said awkwardly as his lips lifted in a wobbly smile. "friends?"
he squeaked when the feline's pace suddenly increased, holding his arms in front of his head in defense. but instead of sharp fangs or claws to his body, he felt a tickling on his palm. "hm?"
peeking between the space of his arms, he saw white.
white fur took up his whole vision, the cat too close for him to see anything else. slowly, he moved his hand from the cat's nose to atop her head. he heard a purr coming from her throat, the vibrations travelling down his arm and wracking his whole being. he moved his arms as much as he could, patting it the way he saw soobin had done it. "you like that?"
she chirped in response, an adorable little sound like the cute cat that it was. tyun bowed her head lower and lower, until eventually, she was on her back. yeonjun moved along with her, going from head pats and neck scratches to giving her belly rubs.
"this what you want, tyunnie? is this what you want?" he cooed at her with his best baby voice. the feline responded with her own mews and chirps, the two stuck in their own world. they were so into it that they didn't realise the pair of eyes watching them from the bed, a fond smile on the human's lips.
at first, after hearing yeonjun's and tyun's voices, he'd woken up with a jolt at the thought of the fairy in trouble again. but upon seeing them interacting, yeonjun cooing and probably unconsciously making faces as he babied the feline, soobin slumped back into his bed.
"you two having fun?"
the fairy gasped, hands frozen in shock, while the feline startled back to her feet and ran out the room. in her panic, her tail swung violently, hitting yeonjun in the process. he was abruptly flung under the cabinet near the door, the force of it expelling his breath.
"yeonjun!" soobin rushed from the bed, falling to the floor with an 'oof' when his leg got caught in the sheets. while struggling to free himself, he tried to see where the fairy landed, "are you okay?"
under the cabinet, yeonjun was splat on his back, breathing heavily.
"soobin!"
"yeonjun!"
"did you see?" the fairy clambered back to his feet and ran to the human. soobin had only managed to unstuck his leg when he got a faceful of a dusty fairy. "we bonded! i bonded with tyun, she likes me now!"
"mhm, i saw," he mumbled against the fairy's belly. "so proud of you."
"thanks," the fairy giggled. they only moved once soobin started sneezing, nearly sending yeonjun under the bed.
by the time tyun's stay with them was up, 2 days had passed and the fairy and feline had bonded closely. just the night before, yeonjun was whining from where he was sat atop tyun's back, wishing she didn't have to go.
"taehyun loves her too, you know?"
"then why did he leave her here, where i could bond with her and wished she stayed with me forever?!"
"because he had to go visit his mom and she's allergic to cats." soobin reasoned with the fairy. "now shush, i'm trying to finish this."
the fairy glared at the human, perplexed at how he could be so calm when their housemate had to leave the next morning. he huffed, telling the cat to bring him away from soobin's workplace so he could be dramatic in peace.
it was nearly an hour later that soobin finally got up from his table, two crocheted pieces in hand. he saw the fairy moping on tyun's stomach, the cat getting distracted by the front door's dangling chime.
"yeonjun?"
"no, i don't wanna talk with you right now." soobin chuckled at his indignation, causing the fairy to lift his head and glare in his direction. the human lifted his hands apologetically, the red he was holding capturing yeonjun's attention. "what's that?"
"a parting gift." he said with a smile, gesturing for yeonjun and tyun to come over so he could give the gifts to them.
taehyun came early the next morning, barely any time for yeonjun to plant goodbye kisses on tyun. the cat had soaked in the attention, purring hard. when the younger saw his cat, he asked soobin, "what'd you do to my cat?"
"it's just a hat, taehyun." in the cat cage, tyun sat calmly with a red crocheted strawberry hat on her head. she meowed sharply then, seemingly in defense of the hat. her owner let it be and thanked soobin for his care. "i barely did anything but i'll take it."
taehyun looked at soobin weirdly before he went to load everything in his trunk. while the cat cage was being strapped securely on his passenger seat, soobin saw a small movement to his right. when he looked, he saw yeonjun waving from the window, a red hat sitting on top of his pink hair. he tried to ignore the skip in his heartbeat when he saw something glistening tracking down the fairy's cheek.
he looked back to the car just in time to see taehyun shut the passenger door and wave at him before heading to the driver's side.
by nightfall, soobin and yeonjun laid face to face, back to their respective sides. the human watched as the fairy fiddled with the bow on his rabbit plushie, yeonjun's own plush secure in soobin's arms.
"do you think tyun will miss me?"
"absolutely."
"really?"
"of course."
silence engulfed them again as the fairy resumed his fiddling.
"what about me?" the human hummed in question, not getting what the fairy meant. "if i leave, will you miss me?"
it took soobin a while to answer, the thought of not having yeonjun around not registering in his brain. what would it be like to wake up without yeonjun's surprisingly loud snores next to him every morning? what would it be like to not have strawberries suddenly missing from his fridge and all he'd felt was endearment? what would it be like to fall asleep with only one rabbit plush in hand, the other gone from his sight?
he couldn't see it at all, even if that was the life he had before.
"of course, i will."
"yeah?"
"yeah," soobin said softly. "though you're not allowed to leave me."
"i won't."
"promise?"
"promise."
that night, soobin fell asleep with one arm wrapped around a rabbit plush. the other was placed in front of him, hand laying on the other plushie where a fairy hugged one of his fingers.
that night, he dreamt of twinkling eyes and a bright smile with arms wrapped around his body. if that morning he woke up blushing from seeing yeonjun's face, no one needed to know.

yeonjun's tamed a handful of brats before, though none quite like this one.
they were all the same with their glares, their whines, and their bodily tantrums. but this one? this isnt a toddler he has to babysit while his aunts gossiped in the dining room.
this is his boyfriend.
Tumblr media
where he normally gave the kids candies, he gives soobin his sweaters.
where he had to break up fights over toys, he placates soobin's jealousy.
where he gave headpats, he gives cuddles and kisses.
where he would go out to get them icecream- well thats still the same.
sometimes yeonjun's brain haywires and he treats soobin like one of his nieces and nephews.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
instead of the gentle voice he reserves for soobin, yeonjun scolds him.
instead of a loving gaze, yeonjun fixes a pointed glare.
instead of a warm hug, yeonjun maintains distance.
yeonjun only realises this when soobin finally breaks down and points it out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he would hug soobin tight then, with a lot of hand movements to calm down his sobs. a hold on the back of his head, a few pats on the sides of his hips, rubs up and down his back.
soobin would hide his face in yeonjun's neck, body trembling from the force of his cries and his fists tight on yeonjun's shirt. yeonjun continues to hold him as he guides them to the nearest sofa or chair, pulling soobin to his lap while they wait for his sobs to turn into hiccups then to sniffles.
"im sorry, i was being a brat again"
"im the one who should be sorry, i lost my temper on you"
"its okay, i deserved it"
"no- baby, you can always be a brat with me"

cw// tiny (fairy) yeonjun
Tumblr media Tumblr media
soobin was in the kitchen cutting up fruits when he heard a thump from his window.
'huh?"
he wiped his hands off all the juices on his apron as he went over, head tilted. there didn't seem to be anything there and this thought just got more and more clear the closer he got.
he opened the window and heard a tiny thud, a weight falling over the edge of the window sill onto the bush below. eyes widened, he quickly looked into the bush from the window but saw nothing.
still worried, he left through the back door in the kitchen and kneeled in front of the bush. his hands moved the branches to the side quickly but gently and– there it was. tiny and frail, curled up on itself as it shivered on the grass.
soobin gasped as he took in the sight.
it looked like a person– a small person, its height probably the length of soobin's hand. atop its head was pastel pink hair, fluffy and a mess. its torso was covered in a kinda of light yellow fabric with rips here and there.
on its back were a pair of small, crinkled wings. they shimmer under the faint traces of sunlight that slipped between the leaves of the bush.
its feet were a bit muddied and, now that soobin looked at it more carefully, so was the rest of its body.
amidst his scrutiny, he heard a soft sound coming from the person? creature? but he couldn't interpret what it was saying. soobin leaned in closer, hoping to catch the sliver of voice again.
"help..."
hearing that, soobin rushed to scoop it up in his hands and brought it inside. he laid a clean towel on the island in the middle of his kitchen to gently put the creature on top of it.
"what-," its eyes, now squinting slightly, seemed to be begging him. "what do i need to do?"
it turned its head slowly left and right at his question. he seemed to be searching for something and soobin followed its movements to see what it could be. finally, its head stopped slightly to the right. it stretched its arm, finger reaching out to point.
"strawberry..."
"strawberry?" soobin turned his head to see its line of sight. on his kitchen counter were the fruits he was slicing before he heard the thud. a clump of freshly plucked and cut strawberries sat on the corner of his cutting board, ready to become pie decoration.
he went and picked up a strawberry piece before bringing it over to the creature. between his thumb and index finger, he held the piece towards it.
"this what you want?" it nodded weakly, arms coming up to make grabby hands.
he handed it to the creature, watching it take small bites of the fruit. its cheeks filled up as it chewed before swallowing bit by bit. by the time it was done, strawberry juices were dripping down the sides of its cheeks and onto the towel below it.
"you're a messy one, huh?"
at his comment, the creature glared at him, cheeks puffed and lips pushed out in a pout. if this were a cartoon, soobin imagined it would have steam coming out of its ears.
"sorry, sorry," he said in a hurry, hands coming up in defense. "do you- uhh do you want more?"
the creature brightened up at that, eyes twinkling as it sat up. it used its one intact sleeve to wipe at its cheeks as its other hand excitedly gestured for more of the sweet fruit. soobin felt his lips lift at the sight, a flutter in his chest.
he went over to the counter again and grabbed a few pieces that he put on a small plate. he set it next to the creature and watched as it picked up piece after piece, each getting devoured by tiny teeth. as it chewed on happily, soobin could hear its little hums of delight.
"are you done?" he asked once all the strawberry pieces were gone, the creature pouted at him again, eyes wide with eyebrows slanting down.
"no, no more." he said resolutely. "i don't think your tiny body should take any more."
cue the adorable glare again.
soobin returned its anger with a smile, index finger coming up to pat at its head lightly.
at first, the creature flinched at the contact but it later grabbed soobin's finger. it moved the appendage until it rested on his cheek and it started to nuzzle against him.
soobin didn't have the heart to stop it, even though strawberry juice was getting all over that part of his finger, the content smile on its face with its crinkled, shut eyes felt like an attack to soobin's heart, the organ beating wildly in his chest.
"should i bathe you?"
the creature froze, eyes still shut but the smile slowly slipped off its lips. when it finally opened its eyes, it viewed soobin with a questioning gaze.
"you don't know what a bath is?" it shook its head and scobin started his explaination for it.
the creature wasn't convinced at first but at the mention of his strawberry scented soap, it immediately changed its demeanor. it started nodding its head so aggressively, soobin feared it would pop off its neck.
"okay, okay, calm down, alright?" it obeyed him, thankfully.
he packed up all the fruit on his counter into seperate containers before bringing the creature to his bathroom. on the way there, he asked it a slew of questions.
"can you talk?"
"of course." soobin stumbled a bit hearing its voice, knee hitting a dining chair. "oh uh cool, so um what- what are you?"
the creature smiled proudly at soobin.
"i'm a strawberry fairy."
"strawberry fairy?" it nodded at his question, hair wooshing at its movements. "that's not a real thing, is it?"
"what's that supposed to mean?" gone were bright eyes, glare in place again.
"nothing- sorry," he quickly said. "that sounds wonderful. so what do you do then? with the strawberries?"
at the question, the creatu- fairy's mood lifted again. it started to animatedly tell soobin about how dust from his wings helped the fruit to grow bigger and sweeter. apparently, it found soobin's little garden in spring and had been waiting for them to grow all season.
but when it woke this particular morning, a squirrel was in its home that it dug itself under a bed of flowers in the garden.
at its panicked scream, the furry rodent started to chase it. the fairy hurriedly flew out of its hole and straight to soobin's window. soobin hummed sympathetically at its pained expression when it told him about its collision, a deep frown on its lips.
in the bathroom, scobin plugged the sink and let the tap run. with a blush on this cheeks, he told the fairy that it'd need to strip down to bathe properly.
the fairy did so with no problem, the fabric coming off in one fell swoop.
soobin totally kept his gaze on the water.
once he deemed the sink adequately filled, he closed the tap and urged the fairy to jump in. the fairy squealed in delight but its excitement was cut short at soobin's sudden realisation.
"um can your wings get wet?"
...they didn't think this through.
the fairy plopped down on its hind, arms and legs crossed. its pout deepened as it watched soobin drain some of the water.
swimming sounded so fun when the human explained it but it guessed this would have to do. after all, its wings were its most prized possession.
when he deemed the water is ready again, he closed the tap and went to get his soap. the fairy got on its hands and knees as it watched him pour some into the water. its eyes shut and nostrils flared as it smelt the air. soobin guessed the scent was probably good, judging from its smile.
without the safety of diving-adequate amount of water, soobin offered his palm to carry the fairy into the water. he watched as its wings fluttered in excitement when its feet touched the liquid. once seated, the fairy beamed at the human.
soobin heard it gasp and squeak as it splashed around in the sink. he felt a smile find its way to his lips while he watched the tiny fairy find its little happiness.
after a few minutes, he hummed to grab its attention. at its questioning gaze, soobin gestured for it to rub the soapy water against its skin.
"like this," he said as he rubbed his palm on his cheek. he heard the fairy giggle and he mumbled, "what?"
"your cheek," it said, "it looks so squishy- like a monkey's butt."
"hey! that's not nice."
now it was soobin's turn to pout, cheeks puffed and eyes sending lasers to the fairy. it squeaked at the glare, confused at the anger sent his way.
"what? what'd i say?"
soobin only huffed in response, his shoulder sagging as he fiddled his thumbs.
"it's fine, i guess," he finally said after a few beats of silence. "if you didn't mean it as an insult then i'll take it. though i don't see how a monkey's butt can be a compliment."
the last sentence was mumbled past sulky lips but the fairy caught it, expression going from curious to apologetic.
"it wasn't an insult!" it pouted right back to the human. "i was just trying to be nice."
the two went on and on after that. the human explaining how there were many other ways to compliment someone while the fairy defended how it never had interactions with the giant specie before.
"giant? i'm not that big!"
"yeah, you are- i saw you with your mate the other day."
"mate?"
"you hugged her and kissed her cheek when she left."
"...that was my mom."
the fairy's mouth popped in an 'o' shape and then its cheeks turned pink, smiling sheepishly at the human.
"c'mon, let's get you out before you turn in a raisin."
"i like raisins!"
soobin seated the fairy on his coffee table and turned on the tv for it to watch. he resumed ponyo as he didn't get to finish the movie the night before. while the fairy got absorbed into the 'talking box', soobin took out his sewing kit to fix up a new clothing.
its previously one was already ripped and dirtied so he offered to make a new dress for the little creature. he bore in mind the instructions he'd gotten.
"make it pretty! and make sure the arms aren't too tight- and i want the back to be open!"
"open?"
"for my wings!" the fairy twisted to show its glimmering little wings that fluttered at the mention. soobin smiled at the display.
"okay," he said as he nodded. he sketched his idea on a piece of paper and, when the fairy saw, it squealed and jumped in glee.
"exactly that!"
once he was done, he looked up to call over the fairy but he realised he forgot one important thing-
"do you have a name?"
"huh? of course, i do!" the fairy exclaimed as it waddled in soobin's direction, the small towel still too big for its small strature.
it reached out its hand to receive its new dress and held it up into the sunlight. soobin took in the wide smile and twinkling eyes, relishing in the pleased hum the fairy let out.
it hugged the dress to its body and directed its smile to the human.
"my name's yeonjun."

soobin wasn't like yeonjun when he was tiny- he was worse. at least, at first, he was.
given his stubborn streak, having him tiny with lots of hiding space did no one any good. the first few times they tried getting soobin to bathe, he ran away and hid until he came back to his normal size.
by the fourth time, the members decided to lure him out with icecream, and it worked!
as the oldest, they let yeonjun deal with soobin while he bathed, making sure he didn't run away and washed properly. soobin took it like the brat he was, frowning and exerting extra force while scrubbing himself. occasionally, he would purposely splash some water out of the sink, hoping to get some droplets on yeonjun.
once he was done, yeonjun couldn't help but coo.
"aww, who's a good boy?" he said, smiling while giving soobin a towel to dry with. "that wasn't so bad, was it?"
soobin let out the loudest 'hmph' he could manage in his tiny body, which included a small voice crack. wrapped in the small towel, still pouting and ignoring his hyung, yeonjun decided to indulge to lighten the mood.
"wanna watch some anime while we wait?" yeonjun noticed the little glance soobin sent his way and took it as a win. grinning, he carried the tiny man into his room.
with his laptop propped on his chair, playing jujutsu kaisen, he and soobin watched on from the bed.
2 episodes in, yeonjun felt a movement against his hand. he only looked when the movements stopped and realised soobin had made it his bed for the night.
"you can't sleep in that, baby, you'll get sick."
yeonjun tried unwrapping the towel as gently as he could but the younger only held it tighter around himself.
"soobin." the tiny man only shook his head and burrowed his face into the towel.
"how about," he started, tugging the towel a little to see soobin's face, "i put you under my blanket and then you give me the towel? is that okay?"
the younger gave in and that was that.
if the following morning they woke up with yeonjun spooning a naked normal-sized soobin, no one has to know.
the next time soobin shrunk, yeonjun was ready. he'd searched at toy stores and for tailors willing to take on the project of customising small clothes, "for a doll," he told them. he bought some that he thought would suit soobin and had others customised just for him.
once soobin was bathed, after a chase no less, yeonjun brought him to his room where he had laid out the clothes on his bed.
with an assortment of all the small clothing, soobin finally felt comfortable enough to wander around the dorm in his tiny state. of course, the first thing he did was pull pranks on everyone- missing items, misplaced phones, pinches (bites) on hands while they sat on the sofa.
eventually, everyone realised soobin was pulling on their strings. now, whenever he did those pranks, they would put him in a big bowl 'to reflect'.
it went on to the point where, when they couldn't find their stuff, they would threaten soobin with the big bowl to make him fess up.
the first time they used it, soobin clung onto the sleeve of beomgyu's sweater. he shook his head and let out loud whines, shoulders shaking. after getting soobin in the bowl, he stuck out his tongue at them and proceeded to ignore everyone, even when they offered icecream.
he only softened up again after yeonjun brought him to bed, tucked him in, a little kiss on the top of his head, and a "sorry we used the big bowl on you."

yeonjun's face was stoic, which was unlike his usual expressiveness in any type of social interaction. although, the meeting had been ongoing for a couple hours now so the manager left it at that.
unbeknownst to him, however, pleasure was coursing through the idol's veins.
it wasn't enough to make him scream and writhe, but it was enough to make him sweat, occasionally clench, and leave his eyes glossy from unshed tears after being teased for nearly 2 hours now.
yeonjun thanked the cold season for allowing him layers that wouldn't rise questions from anyone, layers that would hide what was happening underneath the surface.
there were touches everywhere that no one could see, and yeonjun hoped it stayed that way.
at an unexpected press, he unconsciously let out a whole-body shiver. his eyelids drooped a little, mouth agape.
it didn't take him long to realise where he was, still, and how unprofessional he was being. luckily, no one was paying attention to him.
once the meeting was adjourned, the idol bid goodbye to his visual and styling team, thanking them for their hard work and that he was looking forward to working on his next comeback with them.
his manager did the same beside him, slapping a hand to his back good-naturedly.
but the stimulation was too sudden, too unexpected for yeonjun. in addition to the still ongoing assault to his nerves, it almost made him lose it right then and there.
a tight pressure around his base stopped him just in time, keeping him in check.
the action brought tears to his eyes that never left the precipice, staying obedient behind his eyelids and giving him that glassy-eyed look again. people around him crowded a bit more, worrying and thanking him for his hard work in the same breaths.
after reassuring everyone that he was fine, dust was just attacking his eyes and whatnot, yeonjun finally left the meeting room with his manager.
"anywhere you wanna go?"
"just home, please."
the ride back to his dorm was quiet, as quiet as yeonjun could be, that is.
his breaths were a bit heavy, with the occasional pants and a gasp here and there. he'd closed his eyes for some rest, but for the lack of stimulation from his sight, soobin made up for it in other ways.
gradually, his insistent touching in and outside of yeonjun's body increased- in numbers, in frequency, in speed.
once again, yeonjun thanked the layers he wore today. he swore he was on the verge on exploding at this point. the only thing stopping him was the hold that kept him from reaching his climax.
upon reaching his building, the idol thanked his manager and hoped he had a good rest for the next 2 days- rest days, finally.
yeonjun stumbled out the car, something too deep inside him threatening his balance. to his luck, he managed to gain his footing from grasping the car door.
he only entered the building after calming his manager down, that he was fine and he just lost his balance for a second, no biggie.
but once in his room, face down on his bed, yeonjun thrashed. hands punching and feet kicking the bed beneath him, voice rising in a whine.
"what the hell was that, soobin?!"
'i told you to pay attention to me.'
"and i told you- it was an important meeting!"
'more important than me?'
"yes!"
unhappy with his answer, soobin moved his tendrils faster. he especially gave extra attention to the ones on yeonjun's nipples, and he increased the girths of the ones pressing on his prostate.
"wait- soobin, that's- ahh!"
the tendril around his base finally left.
yeonjun felt like his brain was melting out of his skull, the pleasure was too much. after being on edge for hours, his climax was borderline overwhelming. it almost felt neverending.
after coming back to his senses, he regretted it. regretted sobering up because soobin was still assaulting all his spots, still flicking and pressing and rubbing.
"soobin, please!"
yeonjun was sobbing at this point, tears tracking down and unstopping.
'this is for choosing work over me.' soobin pressed on harder within the idol. at another hard thrust, 'this is for ignoring me.'
"im sorry- im sorry! please!" yeonjun was just leaking now. he'd closed his eyes after the black spots came about, hands fisted in the sheets.
his legs, after thrashing a bit, laid numb on the bed. by this point, the only things he could still feel were the clenching of his abs in response to the jabs at his prostate.
'are you sorry?'
it took a while for yeonjun to find his voice again.
"i am," he rasped. "please, soobin."
after making sure yeonjun was all spent, the tendrils left his body one by one. they worked in tandem. some removed the idol's clothes, some grabbed on tissues to wipe him down, some got a cup of water for him to drink, tilting his head a little so he wouldn't choke.
others were caressing him, his cheeks, his arms, his trembling thighs. through it all, his eyes stayed shut, though now with less force.
"soobin..."
'hm?'
"we'll watch your anime tomorrow, okay?"
at that, yeonjun felt a kiss on his forehead before he lost consciousness, asleep.

catboy!yeonjun with human!soobin because i can :3
fluff FTW
yeonjun was in another of his oversized sweaters, curled up at the bedroom window, waiting for soobin to come home from work.
soobin was late today- the short stick of the clock said it was already past 5pm!
when the human finally walked in the house, yeonjun didnt hesitate to pounce on him, sweater paws swatting at his clothed chest. soobin only smiled apologetically and lifted his hand to show the plastic bag with the mint choco icecream tub in it.
yeonjun felt himself slip a little then, the corner of his lips lifting, before he remembered he was supposed to be mad. he forced his lips down into a frown (read: pout) again and deemed that soobin was apologetic enough to be forgiven. he said as much to the human before snatching the bag and running to the kitchen for a spoon to use. soobin only shook his head at his antics, a smile on his face as he went to freshen up.
once soobin returned to the living room, he plopped on the sofa and yeonjun immediately claimed his seat on his lap, icecream in hand.
no matter how tired soobin got from work, he always found the time to enjoy watching and witnessing yeonjun just... existing. he had the most adorable smile and the most comforting of personalities and soobin got to witness that- to live with it, and to care for it and love it.
when yeonjun realised how soobin was just watching him devour the tub of mint choco, he blushed, tucked his chin, and offered some to soobin, thinking maybe he wanted some?
soobin chuckled then and his smile grew a teeny bit wider when he saw the way yeonjun's ear twitched at his laugh. he told yeonjun that its okay, he can finish it, he was still full from dinner, and yeonjun lets out the smallest okay soobin's ever heard, he almost didnt believe it was real.
but yeonjun went back to his icecream right after so soobin let it be and went back to... witnessing him.

mini!yeonjun, the size of an iphone, throwing a tantrum cz soobin won't let him swim in the sink (again)
soobin just [fondly!] watches him go through his stages of grief; screaming, wrecking the handmade toys soobin had crafted for him, whining while smacking his limbs around, and lastly, yeonjun going to an empty corner and curling up while he cries.

soobin then counts down to 30, to give yeonjun time to let off some more steam, before going to pick him up and offer some mint choco icecream instead (which he scoops into a shot glass and serves with a tiny icecream spoon).
yeonjun always gets cranky and a wee bit hyper than usual when he's sleepy, and soobin didn't want a repeat of last time (yeonjun nearly drowning as he fell asleep while swimming in the sink).
he'd rather clean up a sleepy yeonjun from all the sticky icecream than go through that heart attack again.
besides, yeonjun gets upset at him when soobin lets him bathe (swim) more than necessary- he gets sick when that happens and it persists even after he returns to his normal size :(
