I don't think I've posted any updates about chapter 5 for a while. I think it's time to post an update about chapter 5.

To keep things consistent, and you all up to date, I might start posting little progress updates every Sunday, compiling everything we've done so far in terms of the chapter's progression in said week.

First things first, I will be honest, we did take a break after the posting of chapter 4 trial until Oct 17th (this month) when I suddenly gained the motivational burst to start working on it again.

But by terms of working, actually I mean planning out the trial. What this DOESN'T mean: we did not what was going happen in the trial, who was going to die, etc. (all deaths were planned in advance jsyk) What this DOES mean: my dumbass didn't bother making the big detailed plan for chapter 5 at the same time we planned out the other chapters because we had already began posting the fic, and we assumed we would get around to planning it before we got onto writing chapter 5. And while I did get around to chapter 5's daily life and investigation, the trial hadn't been touched yet.

I knew the flow of the trial, and the key moments, but just not the details like oh where should I put a non-stop debate or the scrum debate or when should this evidence get used etc. That's basically what my trial plans are for.

So, where exactly am I in the trial plan so far? Well, quite far in. I'm hoping to get it finished in the next week or so, and right after that is when we'll begin the proper writing and art. I'll also be closing the FTE vote once I finish the planning.

How long will chapter 5 take to produce from this point? No clue. My best estimate is a few months at best, 5 months maximum? If we're very energised, much less. If motivation gets tricky, then maybe a bit more.
