How to Make Good Looking Notes
I know anyone who has a studyblr or follows studyblrs would kill to have good looking notes. So here I am going to give you ways to make your notes look good as well as not wasting your time making ineffective notes you randomly jotted down in class and spent all your time making them look perfect.
****** You don’t NEED to make notes look pretty but if you want a little change then be my guest and use this post to help you  ******************
Step 1: Good Note taking
I can’t stress this enough to you *inhales* BOI! Take good notes! it doesn’t matter if your notes look like chicken feet scratches as long as you take good information down that you know is going to help you in the future.
Step 2: Layout All Materials
Get out all the colours and highlighters and pens and markers and lay them in front of you.
If you are not very experienced in making notes look pretty and you really want to make them look nice, try using a pencil to lay out your designs to see if you like your layout or not. After a while of making notes and you feel comfortable you don’t have to use pencil anymore to do layouts.
If you want to be eco friendly and save paper, gently write with pencil so that you can reuse that paper and all you have to do is erase the pencil.
Step 3: Pens, Highlighters and Markers
Set up your markers and pens and colour code them.

HIGHLIGHTERS & MARKERS
This is only an example you can always change the colours and their meaning but try to stick to the same colours for the same meaning every time you write notes because you don’t want to be confused now do you?
Use your colours sparingly. Too much colour and too much highlight is not something you want. It can get hard to read and makes notes look messy.
PENS
I always use:
Black pens for writing
Blue pens for relevant information
Red pens for important words or phrases that can come handy later
FONT SIZES
Different font sizes and fonts can and usually are used when a lot of colour has been used already but you still need to emphasize on some words or phrase (also it just looks lovely when you use it here and there)
Step 4: Re-Read your notes and see what you want to highlight or write in what colour.
This is important because it helps you categorize your needs and help develop questions that you can ask your professors or classmates for help that’ll give you a better understanding.
Also this is the foundation and brainstorming of making your notes look good.
Step 5: Draw little doodles or graphs or anything that’s a visual to help better to understand.
Doodles and drawings are great ways to help memories things. Also help make notes look extremely cute! Visuals help to understand the subject or the topic in a pictorial way.
When I say doodle I mean doodle something related to the topic don’t draw a picture of a cat when writing notes about photosynthesis. But instead you might want to draw plants or the plant lifecycle.
Step 6: Follow your plan
This is the time you get to bring your creation to life and start filling everything in with ink, colours, fonts, banners and doodles.
Always Remember!
You can do what you want. You can do things your own style. If you want to draw a cat on notes about photosynthesis go ahead. Although make sure you’re learning. Learning is more important than how good your notes look. ;)
Happy note taking!
