EPISODE FOUR OUTLINE

Episode Four took the classic unit song challenge, and added another level of difficulty. Letter grade teams were pushed to put together an original song, and teams were made beyond that to make another original song, however non-competitor groupmates of all the contestants also featured in those songs.

TASKS

Idol Project: Reboot has concluded due to hiatuses, however if you would like to complete the following challenges for character development purposes, please feel free!

Weekly Confessional: post an interview or confessional about how your character is adapting to dorm life and the competition, along with their reactions to this weeks performances.*

Drabble: Write a short drabble (IC or OOC) about the hardest thing in your trainee’s career, be it an injury, family issues, problems with other trainees, or more!

Threads: threads to do with the show can earn you points too. Para threads (200+ words) are worth more points than gif chats and one liners. Threads played out to their completion are worth even more points; if you dinish a thread, submit the link to the last post in the thread to the Idol Project blog.

Self Paras: self paras to do with the show (ie practicing, dorm life, self reflection, performances, calls home) can also earn you points. These can be done as often as you’d like as long as you provide some variety in the content.

Weekly Challenge: Every competitor is part of 2 different groups that will create a unique song. One group is their letter grade team, and the other is a team made by the mentors. For the mentor-made team, there is a catch, and non-competitor groupmates are competing alongside their idol-contestant peers.

WEEKLY PERFORMANCE

This episode was dual pronged-- first, the idols were given a unique song to prepare with their letter group teams. And, like in previous seasons, they were put on a second team to do the same thing. However, since all of the contestants are debuted idols, production upped the anti. Before the show started, each idol picked a groupmate of theirs (and in Andy’s case, a labelmate). For this episode, their groupmates joined them for the second unique song. Every contestant was responsible for the performance (good or bad) of their external groupmate, and also had to ensure that non of the non-competitors overshadowed them. The songs were as follows:

A TEAM (Ahki, Sikyung and Hayoon) will be performing The Baddest B TEAM (Jahee, Isis, Melody and Aeri) will be performing Utopia C TEAM (Nayoon, Misaki and Andy) will be performing Bop Bop! D TEAM (Windy, Destiny and Yooi) will be performing Shoot!

Andy and Sikyung as well as their groupmates Bomi and Xifeng will be performing Wow Thing (their vocals will be from this video, but this is the choreography) Isis and Misaki as well as their groupmates Dylan and Izumi will be performing More Nayoon and Destiny as well as their groupmates Kyungmi and Yujeong will be performing Eleven Hayoon and Jaehee as well as their groupmates Dokyoung and Jiae will be performing Snake Yooi, Melody and Ahki as well as their groupmates Ryan, Mija and Soeun will be performing Icons Windy and Aeri as well as their groupmates Hayi and Biyi will be performing Hot Candy
