Between playing a Wizard and a Sorcerer in two different campaigns, I am going to say I enjoy Wizard more. However, Metamagic is so much fun and I miss having it when playing my Wizard.
The Metamagic Adept Feat has been amazing for my level 8 Sorcerer. I have Subtle Spell, Quickened Spell, Distant Spell, and Extended Spell. My Sorcerer is Utility based so these options have been super handy.

We had to fight shadow versions of ourselves. They rolled better than we did. My character, Calypso, is in the front and looks quite unbothered.

Playing in a new campaign that actually meets in person. I'm joining an already existing group, but luckily I know the DM and one of the players for years now. No one at the tables uses a character voice, but that definitely didn't stop me from using one.
My new character is a level 6 Drow Aberrant Mind Sorcerer named Calypso Wildren. For Metamagic I chose the Subtle Spell and Twinned Spell.
