Egg Hunt

Chris Evans X Daughter!Reader

Summary: Just a fun easter egg hunt with your cousins.

Warnings: Fluff

Reader's age: 10

A/n: Happy Easter! My goodness, I have a few easter fics coming out today! First, Chris Evans, then I have jatp fic, and a few more. If you don't celebrate easter well have a good day! 😁

Ps. I used google to find out what the most common grandparent name in Massachusetts is which was Nana and Papa... So that's what the reader will call Chris' parents from now on in all of the X Daughter!reader fics I write. Also did some math shit aka I found a random artical that said his niece and nephews ages and added a year to each of them. So with the reader being ten it makes her younger than Chris' oldest nephew by a year but older than his niece and other nephew, so ya.

You happily ran down the stairs and to the table where the easter bunny left your easter basket. You smiled digging through it, finding your favorite chocolates, and candies along with a few toys and knick knacks filling the bag.

"Sweetpea?" Your dad said walking into the dining room with a cup of coffee. "I see the Easter Bunny showed up!"

"Yeah happy easter Dad!" You said happily as you went to open one of the candies.

"Hey no breakfast then candy." He said taking it. You pouted but nodded. "After breakfast we're heading to Nana and Papa's house!"

"Yay! Are Ethan, Miles, and Stella going to be there?" You asked smiling.

"Yep the easter bunny hid a bunch of eggs for you four to find, go get dressed breakfast will be done soon." He said pushing you toward the stairs gently.

"Okay."

You and dodger ran into the house happily barreling into your grandpa giving him a hug.

"Hi papa!" You said. "Guess what! Look what the Easter bunny gave me!" You showed him the stuffed rabbit.

"Cool sweetheart." The man smiled.

"Are my cousins here yet?" You asked. He chuckled.

"In the kitchen." He chuckled as you ran off.

"Nana!" You exclaimed joyously as you ran in hugging her before giving hugs to your three cousins.

"Hi sweetheart." Lisa smiled at you.

"Now can we start the Easter egg hunt?" Miles asked.

"In a little while hun."

"Why not now!" Stella whined.

"Calm down the Easter bunny left you four. Baskets on the back porch go look!" Scott said walking in from the back porch. You and your cousins smiled running passed him. Scott stopped you though. "Where's my hug?"

"Sorry." You hugged him before following your cousins.

"Look!" Ethan said happily as you four saw the baskets sat on a table. There was a blue one, a green, purple one, and a yellow one. You each ran to your respective color of basket. They've been the same since each of you were a baby. You have the yellow one, Ethan has the green one, Stella has the purple one, and Miles has the blue one.

"Look at this." Stella held up a stuffed bear wearing pastel pink bunny ears.

"That's cool." You said smiling as you pulled out a chocolate bunny.

"Oh I got one of those too!" Ethan said.

"Okay, who's ready for the egg hunt!" Your aunt, Shanna announced walking into the living room where you and Miles were playing mini connect four, which came in his basket. You each got a travel size boardgame, you got battleship, Stella got snakes and ladders, and Ethan got Jenga.

"Me!" The four of you exclaimed leaving the board games as you grabbed your respective baskets and ran outside where the other adults were waiting.

"Hold up! Only grab the eggs that match your basket. There's 12 for each of you and there's a special golden egg." Your papa explained. You nodded along impatiently.

"Okay go ahead!" Your nana said. Immediately you four ran past your parents, and other family members, though Carly followed Miles to help him out a little as he is the youngest of you four. The other adults laughed watching you split up running through the yard in order to find that gold egg.

"No shoving!" Chris yelled.

"Sorry." You and Ethan exclaimed before you gave him another gentle shove and ran the other way. Chris sighed shaking his head.

Your basket was filling up fast, but your mission was to find that golden egg. Every year someone else found it, but this year you were determined to find the egg. It always had the best prices, gift cards to a store that sold toys, cash, get out of chores free card, etc. The prize gets better each year. You looked open smiling as you saw an egg sat on a branch you grabbed it before you continued.

"Have you found it yet?" You asked Ethan.

"No.".

"Okay." You said before you continued your search. You scanned the area not seeing the golden egg anywhere.

"Any luck Bub?" Chris asked you as he walked next to you as you looked for the egg.

"No but I'm determined to find it! It's gotta be something good." You said not looking at him as you put another egg in your basket.

"Okay. I can't help you but I did see something over there." He whisper pointing in a direction of a tree. You looked at him smiling and ran toward it.

"You shouldn't be helping her out y'know." Scott told his brother.

"It's just one of her yellow eggs it's not a big deal. Besides I don't know where the gold egg is." Chris said giving his brother a look.

"Yes of course not."

You put the egg in your basket before you continued around the yard, occasionally almost running into your cousins or other family. You turned and looked in a bush and we're pleasantly surprised to see the large gold egg sitting there.

"Yes!!!" You exclaimed putting the egg in your basket. "I found the gold egg!" You announced looking in your basket counting the yellow eggs. Happy to see all fourteen of your eggs there. You and Ethan who also found all of his eggs ran to the patio to open the eggs.

"Okay open it!!! What is it?" Ethan asked once all of the colored eggs were opened and your other cousins were sitting with you two.

"Okay it is..." You opened it. "Awesome! 30 bucks!" You said.

All around a great easter, with plenty of family fun, after the egg hunt, you ate, then played with the toys and board games you had got in your baskets and eggs, then that night all of you watched hop together.
