4. does your muse find any specific features particularly attractive?

RIYA — lips are the #1 and she can’t be held accountable for staring at them, so jot that down for when you catch her. i also think hair could be a big one for her tbh, a thing that can catch her eye or turn her off from somebody immediately because she’s a lowkey judgy bitch lmao

MAEVE — we know hands are her Thing™ and we’ve all bullied her about it but she’s valid, fixate on those fingers all you want babygirl, nobody’s gonna stop you (some might even indulge you). i think eyes would be second on the list! windows to the soul and all that. also they can be very pretty :’) 

JORINA — mmmmm maybe arms and eyes?? that sounds about right for her, even if she’d hate it being true. eyes she can accept, she spends a lot of time looking at them to suss out people’s vibes and it’s the best way to connect, but acknowledging that she’s not immune to zoning out thinking about how some folk’s arms would feel? either under her hand or around her?? mortifying.

12. does your muse get flustered easily? how would they typically react to compliments from someone they are interested in/dating?

RIYA — i think it would take a lot to fluster riya, or maybe just a certain dynamic. she’s incredibly open about anything and everything sexual/romantic, so there’s almost no chance of catching her up on that front, and she’s been spoiled with compliments her entire life. simply expects compliments from those that she's into/dating, and they just add a little +5 to her ego and make her feel full 🥰 for a minute.

MAEVE — through all of her teenage years and up until a little period of time after the carden era, she’s kind of desensitized to compliments. they’ve been used on her so frequently for manipulation for years at that point and she’s learned to accept them with a smile to distract from the rapid assessing she’s running in her mind to figure out what somebody’s trying to get from her with it. grey was probably?? the first romantic interest to start giving her genuine compliments and affection (we know that stage was entirely skipped with dietrich) and it was crazy. wild. world turned upside down. the biggest smiles she’d worn for as long as she could remember, it made her feel so good. she learns to accept them more gracefully over time and returns them in kind, and i think she often has a silly little thought of wanting to tuck ‘em away somewhere like a flower pressed inside a book’s pages. 

JORINA — she should just adopt Flustered as a surname because it’s so simple to get her to that state, let people get the message right off the bat. she’s going pink, she’s stammering before shutting her mouth, she’s trying to miraculously disappear on the spot to avoid the direct attention given to her by someone complimenting her it’s so much. the only reason you need to look her way is to get your orders for the day’s work go AWAY leave her ALONE (she gets better the longer she’s with somebody but that blush is never gonna go away).

27. is your muse more confident or shy when it comes to approaching someone they like?

RIYA — definitely confident. she propositioned a superior warden and a high-ranking templar to a threesome for maker’s sake, there’s not a shy bone in that body when it comes to attraction and interest. riya has a hard time focusing on a Bigger Picture, it’s all about the Then and Now for her and that super comes into play for approaching people that she likes. she thinks it’s a waste of time to pine and dole out subtle hints over a period of time, you could have already been using that time getting close under the sheets if you’d just spoken plainly, y’know. in other words: shoot your shot lmao

MAEVE — i think the only time maeve had a bit of shyness in her was the first time she approached dietrich for a hook-up, because it was so new! not being objectified and being the one to approach somebody she was attracted to for once!! what a novel idea. but i imagine she did a fantastic job at presenting the appearance of pure confidence and got what she wanted, and the hesitation [mostly] did away after that success. if she could approach That brick wall of a guy and get away with it, there’s no shot of being intimidated by the idea of approaching others she’s interested in from then on. she already beat the hardest difficulty of the flirt game, it’s over for the rest of y'all.

JORINA — i feel like i don't even have to answer this one, it's so clear. my girl can hardly stand to make eye contact with somebody that she's interested in because of the irrational fear they'll instantly know every mushy or slightly horny thought she's had about them just by locking gazes. it took her such a hot minute to return to what could be considered a Normal stance around aleksi it's almost funny

31. does your muse develop crushes easily? would they be open about it to a friend or keep it to themselves?

RIYA — not really?? she forms attachments and sexual attraction very easily, but i'm not entirely sure riya's had a crush in any recent times. she would have had plenty as a growing girl but that was kind of thrown out the window after she discovered how being forward could help her skip the Wanting stage. riya's open nature would of course extend to this, no doubt she'd talk to a friend about it. especially if she developed a crush in the present time or future because it's been so long since having one, she'd need to discuss that with somebody.

MAEVE — can and will form a crush on somebody for the smallest things. she's probably doing it right now, the menace. she's not secretive about them, though it'd depend on the level of closeness she has with somebody if she'd approach the topic of it herself without their prompting. crushes are silly, harmless things that bring a tiny bit of joy about, nothing to be ashamed of. 

JORINA — no and no. she had such an impressive streak for not having any crushes to take up space in her mind and then one reckless mage came along and ruined her score. i don't think she told a soul about it because of the embarrassment she felt over Having Those Kinds Of Feelings, but she didn't particularly have to share the secret because her crushing on aleksi became increasingly obvious as the months went by.

LEAVE: What was the first time your OC left home? Why? If they've never left home, do they want to? Where would they go?

RIYA — victor had been killed and she was ((sebastian voice) allegedly) framed for the crime and there were a few too many people eager to make an example of a mage/noble who wouldn't be let off easy this time, so her family broke her ass out of jail, handed her a bag of supplies and told her that she had to get the fuck out of the city until it was all resolved. she wouldn't have made it past city lines if she hadn't gone to beg bastian for help tbh.

MAEVE — when c- 🤢 when card- 🤢 when carden swept her off her feet, right into a carriage that would take her out of white orchard. she was excited about it at the time and later on in life would certainly prefer to never return to that place, but damn. if she doesn’t wish it had been under any other number of circumstances that helped her out of there.

MEREDITH — she has no memories of it because she was far too little, but almost certainly meredith’s first trip was to denerim when she was still a toddler because of some duty or other her father had to maintain. she was definitely one of those babies/kids that was great during travel and she got brought along to most everything because of it.

EDUCATION: What was your OC's first experience with school or education? Were they homeschooled? Apprenticed? Sent away to study? If they didn't have any kind of schooling, where did they learn about the world or pick up the skills they have now?

MAEVE — very basic lessons from her mother while she was still with her parents, learned the fundamentals of reading and writing because fanette couldn't stand the idea of her own child Not having those minimum levels but she also hated being the one to actually teach her. after her move to vizima, carden would have thrown all kinds of tutors her way so that she would be a Presentable and Proper Lady when he took her places. if there's one good thing that man ever did for her it was providing the resources to make her one of the most knowledgeable ladies around in his haste to up her intelligence score, i suppose. she also developed a very lovely handwriting style due to a particularly detail-oriented tutor. she absolutely could not stand the woman who taught her politics of the continent but no amount of complaining had her sent away smh

MEREDITH — she would have had multiple tutors and trainers i’m sure, being the daughter of the second most powerful family in the kingdom lmao. perhaps more lonely of an education than she would have liked as her brother was already in his studies and she wasn’t sent to learn with the other children in the castle, but she excelled nonetheless. i actually think she would have really liked the historian we saw in the cousland origin, old ass aldous who tutored the kids of the castle and surely taught meredith her histories aka one of her favorite subjects.

KILL: When was the first time your OC killed someone? How did they feel about it then, and do they still think about it now? If your OC has never killed before, would they? Under what circumstance?

RIYA — answered xoxo

MAEVE — we've stumbled across a rare maeve question i don't think has been considered, at least in default witcherverse. it would happen a few years into her time traveling with witchers, and likely while with one of them because that's when she's in the most danger (usually). she'd be fucked up about it no doubt. the panic to wash herself clean, the guilt over ending a life, the fear she could have torn apart a family somewhere, the stress of her own life being disrupted by a constant reliving of the entire event. you know, all that fun stuff she didn't sign up for. give it a few years and she'll probably still be sad about it, some amount of guilt will always linger because her heart is so gentle, but her own life experience and learning that of others will have helped her come to terms with it. (especially because it was likely in some sort of defense??? i don't see her just popping up on the kill feed for fun)

MEREDITH — when homegirl opened her bedroom door to find one of howe’s men standing there with a weapon drawn and she was forced into immediate combat. panic is all she felt then, and a rising anger the further she and her mother pushed into the castle during their search for bryce and an escape. she has never felt guilt for that first kill—or the dozen or so that came after it that night—because they displayed no guilt for the murders they took part in and showed no mercy in going after her next, but flash-forward some years and she feels a sorrow over it all having taken place. it wasn't fair to have such horrors forced upon a young girl who had done nothing wrong, merely had a father who perhaps needed to reevaluate his friendships more often 🤷‍♀️ sorry bryce that was uncalled for, you're already dead about it lmao

WISH: What's the first thing your OC ever wished for or wanted? Do they still want that, or have their desires changed? If so, what changed them? If not, how far would they go to fulfill their wish?

RIYA — i mean, for two decades i’m sure all her wishes were dumb as hell because she was a spoiled, sheltered girl. wishing her birthday celebration would be bigger than the last each year, wanting a new dress in the style of one she saw at a gala or smth, etc etc. her first genuine wish would have come during her time on the run, curled up next to bastian, wishing with a desperation that she'd never felt before that they could just go home.

MAEVE — any answer i think of is sad as hell. i imagine that the earliest thing she can remember wanting so terribly would be the approval of her parents because it always seemed Just out of reach. if she tried hard enough on the next task then she’d get the pride and affection she craved! surely that’s true!! it wasn’t tho, we know that. the only memory maeve has of her mother looking at her with pride was on that day carden took her away, which was a comfort for a few years while she still believed she’d finally done something good enough in their eyes. but then the “wait, she was just happy that i Sold To A Man for a fantastic price” reality hit and she’d do anything to forget that final day together.

MEREDITH — probably something cheesy like wanting to one day be like her father. the desire changed a bit over time, though not by much, spurned on by her witnessing too many moments of people being treated horribly because of how they were born. she wished to one day hold enough power and influence to make changes for good in the world, to care for others and make their lives better. historians and scholars are gonna debate for who knows how long about what schemes she enacted to take that power but like. it was right there. sitting out in the open. was she Not supposed to take it? c'mon now 🙄

betrayal: Has your OC ever been betrayed by someone they thought they could trust? Has your OC ever betrayed someone who trusted them?

RIYA — a no on both accounts. maybe you could find some social drama from cumberland socialite days but that shit is so far beyond anything Serious compared to the goings on of the campaign that it hardly counts. actually, i lied. her brother sebastian constantly betrayed her trust by snitching anytime she did something he thought their mother would disapprove of, so he can choke. 

MAEVE — by someone she trusts, no. she learned her own lessons and had plenty of witchers to let her know how dangerous it can be to hand trust away easily, so that takes a while to build up. has probably been betrayed in general though, there are plenty of selfish people who would look at her generosity and willingness to work against “authority” and take advantage of it. 

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

RIYA — if we go with answering what she wants presently, i think with all the goofing and flirting and whining, it really boils down to her craving comfort. and that's probably easy to tell with or without an insight check because she's not trying to hide it, and it's clear to everybody who spends 10 minutes around her that she's having a dreadful time adjusting to life without her usual rich girl privileges. she wants to go back to lounging around and being fed little chocolates or w/e, this sucks. 

MAEVE — it's so cheesy that the first two things that popped to mind for her were to be loved and to make a difference. both are true, it just depends on the day which desire is at the top of her list. she's always happy to discuss the hopes that her works will potentially change people's prejudices, and that's something she puts effort into every day. the wanting to be loved is like. 30% of the time it can be obvious because she'll start alluding to it or even openly talking about it, then the other 70% it depends on if the person she's talking to is capable of reading her beyond the smiles and chatter. 

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

RIYA — THE NEVERENDING NIGHTMARES, MY GUY. she’s lucky that the party’s grey warden duties usually wear them out enough through the day that the anxieties and nagging guilt can’t keep her from passing out, but the nightmares have been waking her early in the last few months. riya’s got her morning rituals: brushing out her hair and styling it according to vibes, going over her spellbook, debating with herself if it’s worth using some of her precious perfumes or oils, thinking about her family and nearly crumbling because of how terribly she misses them, reciting important quest information in her head to keep from forgetting it. you know, the usual.

MAEVE — her partners ey-ohhhhhhh. anyway all of the above, though it grows more infrequent as the years go by and she becomes accustomed to feeling safe. anxiety is probably the worst?? because it can sneak up on her without warning, especially if she knows somebody she cares about is off doing something dangerous. her go-tos on a sleepless morning are journaling or taking a bath, sometimes both if she's feeling frisky. 

wound: How does your OC handle being wounded? Are their wounds mostly physical? Mental? Emotional? What's the worst wound your OC has ever experienced?

RIYA — answered here.

MAEVE — she can take more hits than your average noble before going down but she’s still only a bard at the end of the day and absolutely in tears after just the first. she’s shaking, shouting her panic and trying to find cover but hey she’s not entirely useless, she might be able to shoot her bow from back there. can definitely provide colorful and fun commentary at the least. please give her medical attention and please make it intimate to encourage affection and vulnerability, thank you. most of her wounds are mental and leftover from the carden era tbh. worst wound has to default to the one that straight-up killed her for a hot minute, i imagine. fuck if i remember what it was but it sure does take the cake for being fatal.

Intimacy: Is your OC the type of person to engage in long-term relationships, or are they more casual in their intimacy and affection? How do they feel about intimacy and relationships in general?

MAEVE — the thing is that maeve could engage in relationships outside of the long-term, but there would be nothing casual about them given that It's Maeve. any partner of hers is going to be spoiled with affection, attention and goods lmao. 90% chance she's gonna write something about them. i’ve written essays on maeve's feelings on this subject, so to keep it simple: she's in love with love, intimacy is her middle name, she collects relationships like pokemon, and would probably perish like a fish out of water if she was starved of these things.

RIYA — her history has definitely been more casual, there have been one or two people that she'd mess around with sporadically over multiple years, but even then it was just for reliable fun and victor was the first time she entered anything of the Committed type. i don't think she consciously noticed her views on intimacy evolving while with him, but they did and those changes will become more apparent to her now that all she can do is sit with the memories. she'll start to understand there's a difference when it comes to Romantic intimacy and that’s going to be something she misses whenever that it becomes relevant.

MEREDITH — i don’t know if she’d be able to handle a casual relationship. meredith's friendly and relatively open to folk, but if she lets somebody approach anything near intimate then they've been Chosen, y’know. she doesn't want anything fleeting, she needs loyalty and consistency and dedication. she'd sooner take intensity over casualness tbh. she takes comfort in the intimacy that comes from relationships, in knowing someone wants to display affection for her and knows how she'd like to receive it.

Friendship: What's your OC like as a friend? How are they at making new friends? What are the most important friendships in your OC's life?

MAEVE — she's steadily racked up an egregious amount of friends through the years due to her charm and being such a goodie good. that type of person in the group who can go "i know a guy" about nearly anything. i won't give names because all of her friendships are equally valued in her heart (i lied, grey's her most treasured friend 💜). she's kinda the dream friend?? she'll pay for any of your outings, is the kindest shoulder to cry on, is incredibly attentive to your feelings and needs, will bend over backwards to help you whenever necessary no questions asked, etc etc. just don't ask her to help make the holiday dinner the friendship will be ruined just let her host the party

RIYA — the friend who's there to gossip or get petty if you need that energy. happy to include you in her expensive activities because she likes spoiling people close to her. always ready to throw down for you even if you don't necessarily ask for it. riya's either very good or very bad at making friends and that depends on the type of crowd she's in, because uh. she's not everybody's cup of tea. her most important friendships are those with her family members, and now the warden squad for obvious reasons.

MEREDITH — she’ll go on whole ass quests for her friends, feels like that explains a good deal itself. everybody needs that one friend who will defend you in encounters, go to the ends of the earth for you at a moment's notice, and be unafraid to call you out on some nonsense you're pulling lmao. she's superb at making friends, that charisma and insight will take her a long way if she's not speaking to a baddie (derogatory). alistair, nathaniel, leliana and teagan are her most important friendships probs.

Fate: Does your OC believe in destined meetings? True love, soulmates, hearing the bells? Have they ever experienced this?

MAEVE — cannot be stated enough how deeply she believes in it all lmao true love's kiss being magic, people finding each other through fate, having multiple soulmates, you name any sappy trope and she's a believer in it. of course she's experienced these things because maeve's living a fairy tale 90% of the time and it's what she deserves. anything with ilya is the prime example but she's been given multiple soulmate related things bc i myself (and other enablers) like to spoil her 🥰

RIYA — she for sure believes in those things just because she believes in destiny overall. umm. i don't think there's any like #canonevent that has occurred with fated moments so far that,,,but if you think about it,,,,if you squint. kinda wild how riya ended up in the company of a supportive dreamer mage 🤔 exactly when she needed that kind of aid 🤔🤔 kinda sussy. (she’s gonna find a reason to think so many things are destined, people are gonna hate it)

MEREDITH — she’s more of a butterfly effect kind of lady, i think. actions have reactions and consequences that all lead somewhere in the end. it wasn’t destiny that had her marching around ferelden during the blight, it was just highever being the first domino to fall. true love tho, that she can get behind. you don't have to be written in the stars to find somebody who will become your other half with plenty of trust, time and effort.

What has been the most difficult thing your OC has ever had to forgive (assuming they have ever done so)? Did they do this of their own accord? Or only after they felt justice had been done or penitence suitably demonstrated?

RIYA — it says so much about her history that the closest thing i can think of as an answer for this is the very brief moment in time where riya was a little upset with cian for sneaking off to speak to a prisoner, Without Her, The Betrayal Of All Time, but even that's like [so-so hand gesture here]. she was over it in like a day, a day and a half, and it's not something she had to work hard to achieve. no soul searching required because it was just a minute of her being a brat since she's so accustomed to being Involved. she's had people bending over backwards her entire life to keep her happy, she's had no reason to go through a difficult act of forgiveness.

MAEVE — this is rough because i can’t think of anybody in maeve’s story who deserves forgiveness, or who i feel comfortable saying she’d extend that grace to because it would be Wrong after all they did to her. the best answer i could think of is that maybe she’d find it in her to forgive the young versions of her parents? as in she’d forgive the two teens for running away to start a life together without knowing what they were signing up for, because she understands the signs and considerations one can ignore in the face of blinding love. she’ll never forgive the people who raised her and strives to be everything they weren’t, but i can see her finding a small source of healing from the act of sympathizing/forgiving those teens with a dream y’know.

Is your OC loyal to a particular nation, clan or social group? How far would they go in ensuring the safety and success of this faction?

RIYA — #1 is her family, no doubt about that. i’d say she has at least a 25-30% loyalty level built in for the grey wardens just based on family history and stories she heard growing up, so that gave her a little help in coming to accept how she’s stuck with them for the rest of her life. she wouldn’t willingly risk her own life for the wardens at present, but she’d be up for many things underneath that tier.

MAEVE — a select group of witchers, the griffin school, other non-humans & mages, toussaint kinda after she’s lived there for a while. i can’t with any sincerity say that maeve isn’t willing to risk her life for some of these things because she already does every time she releases a new work or openly speaks for the rights/lives/etc of them, but i do think she’d be a little unaware how much of a danger that is until somebody clues her in. ...she’s still gonna do it tho. probably has killed to protect them and would again, even if it pulls at her conscious. she’s constantly pouring money into providing/supporting them as well, kinda gross how generous she is just keep all the money for your cute outfits babe

Is your OC comfortable in expressing their grief? Such as by crying at funerals or memorial events? Or do they always keep their emotions intensely private? Or perhaps not express them at all?

RIYA — this is one of those things i learned about riya in-game. during the session where the party and gathered npcs went through the joining, i realized straight away with bastian’s death that riya apparently has zero problem openly expressing her grief. i used to believe that she would hide her negative feelings but of course she doesn’t. she’s the daughter of a guy who will choose his seat in the room for optimal ability to gaze forlornly out of the window in full view of everybody present so they have no choice but to observe his sadness, of course riya’s going to be fine openly weeping or otherwise displaying her devastation. there may be a little bit of shame buried somewhere deep down in the case of bastian because the first impression she gave off to every warden around was that of a sobbing wreck who didn’t want to do a damn thing except lay in bed, but hey. what can you do? a girl lost her boyfriend, her freedom, her family, then her best friend all in under 2 months, she had to break eventually. their fault, really, for recruiting a girl who’s loud about feelings.

MAEVE — it would depend on who's around her at the time. she has no trouble shedding a few tears around people because she's just an emotional gal and learns over the years it's only a hindrance to hide your feelings so deeply, but any displays of deep grief would be kept for the comfort of privacy (aka by herself or with those select few she's closest to). that being said!! if she's having to grieve one of those said trusted few, all bets are off and she's on the ground wailing in front of everybody and their mamas lmao

RIYA — tbh this would depend on the person she is addressing. mama priscilla certainly taught her children how to show the proper respect to those who require it, but riya would conveniently forget those lessons if she's decided they don't deserve it. is capable of faking it for a plan but has to release that “i Cannot stand you” energy somehow, IE: waiting for that higher-up in the white spire to turn his back before she made a jerk off motion.

MAEVE — it's so gd simple to her. she had to fake respect for carden and his associates for years, almost became a sort of survival instinct as it was done to avoid sparking his anger. it also comes in handy during her adventures with witchers, when they don't give a fuck about social standings and she has to step in with the charming smile and big brown eyes to bamboozle the noble/royal/etc into thinking they've been treated proper the entire encounter from how thick she's laying it on.

RIYA — everyone knows what riya wants at any given moment. if she’s not saying it aloud in some way, her eyes will be trained on her desire. for things such as broader wishes? idk, she’d have no issue chatting about them if it comes up in conversation with friends. (the single one she has ever been ashamed of came in the few minutes after bastian died, when she was feeling so hollowed out from the pain and loneliness that she wished she had joined him.)

RIYA — yup, big time. any and everything, she's into it. so much the "life is short, why limit yourself with embarrassment and shame" type that it's ridiculous sometimes. at her peak form when in a lover's lap during casual group conversation tbh

MAEVE — yeah 🥰 understands there are some that should be reserved for privacy, but is generally comfortable with most of it. the biggest slut for hand holding as the default show of love in public, it's something subtle but conveys great emotion and can be spiced up with smooches (she's partial to kisses to the fingers. not in the horny way but also actually sometimes yeah in the horny way i can't deny her truth).

MAEVE — yes! has no issues with taking the initiative if she's in a mood and even prefers to do it at times, however she's more aware and conscious of her partners' preferences. she'll take the back seat if she feels it's best to allow them to work up the comfort level to initiate things themselves, or tone down her advances if they're a little overwhelmed by her unabashed approaches. 6. how have they changed in the last year? how about the last five years?

MEREDITH — we’ll go with the 9:41 dragon~ area for the purpose of this question, in which case: not a lot for the last year. she’s well settled into her being by that point after a decade of working towards it. as for the last five years she’s grown Considerably in the emotional management department, nowhere near where she was pre-blight but drastically improved from where she was in the time following its end. she’s also become more confident in her decision making. she was always good at making choices and liked the work of putting them into play, but the changes she made to ferelden weren’t exactly little in the eyes of some and she had a constant fear they’d cause serious troubles. ten years into her reign and she’s gotten comfortable, no longer fretting over the reaction of the few and more pleased by the joy of the many who benefit from her efforts.

MAEVE — she’s gotten even sexier, if you can believe it. hard to manage. incorporated more dark shades into her wardrobe. i’m putting stupid goofs here because i simply have no idea where to pin in this clown’s timeline for this one because her shit’s all over the place. i’m using the once a year “ummm, i skip this one” pass.

VALERIYA — well, the most glaringly obvious change was her becoming a legitimate fugitive after fleeing cumberland. that’s a pretty big one in the fact that she’d been the same diva for the last,,,,entirety of her life?? she’s not made any character development, but she’s added some fun titles to the mix: champion, murderer, criminal, maleficar, others she won’t repeat. all very dramatic after the first if you ask her 🙄

19. what sparks genuine, unadulterated rage in them?

MEREDITH — a great deal of things. spending so many months sitting on rage stemming from numerous sources which weren’t all able to be worked through in a timely manner over the course of the fifth blight, she unfortunately developed a bit of an anger problem that’ll be with her for the rest of her life. (thankfully she has a handful of people close enough to her that can help calm her down with relative ease as the years go by.) the most notable would be any hint of betrayal, be it tiny or large. rendon howe left a lasting mark on her ability to think through motivations or consider forgiveness when it comes to anybody making a move against her or her allies.

MAEVE — it is,,,so strange to think about an angry maeve. class that under very rare status tbh. probably people with black hearts. the truly despicable who not only inflict cruelty on others but actively enjoy doing so, something that maeve can’t and won’t ever be able to understand. usually she reacts with sorrow to such acts because she’s more worried about those who they have harmed, but under the right circumstances i could see her dipping a toe in the rage pool. indulging in the catharsis of letting yourself feel some good Fury for a few minutes.

VALERIYA — getting disparaged. she can take some trash talk and certain levels of teasing, but will start to fly off the handle if somebody’s insulting her skills/intelligence/intentions/etc. she can be touchy when somebody starts having a go at her for only caring about the frivolous and material things of the world, because it’s almost always with the assumption that she doesn’t give a fuck about anything else at all and that’s simply not true. people love to judge a cocky noble by the cover, y’know.

37. if they’ve had one, what was their first kiss like?

MEREDITH — simply put: chaste and quick. even the dignified little lady of highever isn't immune from the curiosities that arise as part of being a growing girl, and fortunately she had a loyal friend in ser gilmore who she trusted to explore that curiosity with. their giggles and nervous smiles prevented any romance being found in the moment, but it was still sweet. she considers herself lucky to have the gentle memory when so much of the world is very much not that lmao.

MAEVE — speaking of not-so-gentle memories!! poor maeve here had her first kiss with carden. it was syrupy sweet and in the moment she believed incredibly romantic, but with time she came to recognize it for what it was—him planning every aspect of the scene to ensure it was the type of fairytale moment a girl like her so plainly desired. just another instance of his acting the gentleman while he still had the care to do so. a bitter memory, one she’s happy to part with as the years pass and she replaces it with kisses that mean much more.

VALERIYA — probably not good, though she doesn’t care because it wasn’t the point. i haven’t a single doubt that her first kiss was motivated by spite, just her wanting to act out against the enchanters telling her to settle and her mother insisting that she behave like a proper lady. a messy makeout in some dark corner of the college with some boy she’d never give the time of day to again, only showing fleeting interest now because it took so little to convince him into the act.

MEREDITH — rarely, outside of having the ends trimmed here and there. she likes having the hair for those fereldan winters! has it up in hairstyles so often that she hardly remembers its length anyhow.

MAEVE — only really cuts it in modern aus. long ass hair fits her entire vibe in fantasy, but i can see her chopping off some inches for practicality in say witcher apoc and twc aus. she's hesitant to do so because she Loves her long hair and it's a bit sensitive, but she'll still do it.

MEREDITH — some people deserve a second chance but she’s too blinded by her past and the anger issues that she struggles with to see it. i tend to agree that people deserve your openness if they apologize and put genuine effort into changing what was wrong, but meredith has her scissors out at the moment of betrayal/hurt/etc. snip snip bitch you’re cut out of her life bye bye

MAEVE — i don't necessarily disagree with any part of her philosophy tbh. i have a more difficult time believing in it though, because her faith in “it’s all about love everything’s about love” is so absolute and unwavering it’s crazy tbh. she sees the beauty and hope in the world and its people, which is something that i’m more likely to aspire to than disagree with.

1.) Is your muse a romantic? Do they dream of love and marriage?

RIYA — mmmm. she enjoys romance (the flowers, the intimate activities, the candles and sweets and gifts etc etc) but i don't think she's been big on fantasies of marriage or happy ever afters, been too busy chasing pleasures day-to-day with whoever holds her fancy to think hard on a settled future. even through her relationship with victor, the love and romance was there for sure but she never personally had thoughts on marriage. maybe could have gotten there 🤷‍♀️ we'll never know

JORINA — unfortunately she got bit by the love bug when aleksi came around and all of those romantic ideas slowly came back to her, thoughts that she'd abandoned after the blight because her family was so miserable after the loss of her mother. she used to hope she'd one day share a love like her parents', but then she had to watch her father fall apart after the loss of his wife and she went nope! no thank you!! i'm not gonna let myself wish for anything that could end up like that. and then she Did start just that because she fell for aleksi and on occasion found herself wondering what their future could look like, and the thoughts were annoyingly romantic but tinged with a worry that was hard to shake.

MAEVE — yes she is 😭 yes she does all the time 😭😭 stories were what she used to cope with her situations living with her parents and later carden, and a vast majority of them were of the romance genre. she more than once worked herself into tears dreaming of what it'd be like to experience a true Romance, to share a love so genuine and comforting that taking vows would have any sincere meaning. struggled to find these dreams for a while when things were utterly dreadful with carden around, but in time they came back and were stronger than ever. sickeningly romantic in all she does, with friends and partners alike she simply wants to spread love however she can.

RIYA — so comfortable with her body that she's constantly showing it off lol. the flowy dresses with slits down the skirt, deep cuts or open windows for her chest, if she's frisky and the fit suits then some additional skin showing at her sides. i don't imagine she's ever felt insecure about her body because she's been spoiled with compliments and support all her life. no reason for her to be worried about her build when clearly it's pulling in plenty of lovers and she's looking fantastic in all she wears, which y’know are clearly the most important priorities here. she'd probably still be wearing such an outfit during the party's workings right now if i didn't have the strong feeling warden rasha shut that shit down by day 3 at most when he found the time to find new clothes to toss at her 🙄

JORINA — has always been a Little Bit insecure about her body, i think. not in a hateful way, but in the way that she'd on occasion be reminded how the family's poverty affected her body (cheap clothing and hunger that kept her from properly filling out said clothing) and she'd feel self-conscious about her appearance for a little while after. had a straight up Confused phase while in the crushing hard on manslut aleksi period, because i imagine he was slutting it up with all kinds of folk which meant she'd never have a chance to like. compare herself to a specific type, but still went through some bouts of insecurity by way of inexperience and perceiving herself as unappealing compared to his lovers. all fine in the end because he's the one to help her build confidence in her appearance :')

MAEVE — sadly endures a period of discomfort during her years with carden when she’s led to believe that all she’s good for is her body and pretty face, but goes through a wondrous amount of growth and healing once she’s free of that life. becomes incredibly comfortable with herself, the confidence practically radiating for all to see. a bit of a shock to see the difference between her in the early years of going off on her own compared to down the line when she’s had time to work on herself and also receive a great deal of help from certain lovers.

RIYA — the amount varies on the kind of nasty she was getting up to, but she absolutely leaves them and takes great joy out of leaving one or two in places that can’t easily be covered up. causes problems on purpose n all that. doesn’t ask for but clearly wants and enjoys receiving them in return.

JORINA — don’t see her leaving very many and she’d rather implode than ask for them, but wouldn’t terribly mind receiving them (so long as they’re in places she can cover with clothes).
