Doris Mary Ann von Kappelhoff (nascida Doris Mary Kappelhoff; Cincinnati, 3 de abril de 1922 — Carmel Valley, 13 de maio de 2019) foi uma atriz e cantora estadunidense. Ela começou sua carreira como cantora de Big bands em 1939, tendo aumentado sua popularidade com sua primeira gravação de sucesso Sentimental Journey, em 1945. Depois de deixar Les Brown & His Band of Renown para embarcar em uma carreira solo, Day tornou-se uma das mais populares e aclamadas cantoras do século XX. Ela gravou mais de 650 músicas entre 1947 a 1967. No cinema, seu primeiro sucesso foi em Romance em Alto-Mar de 1948, seguido por uma série de filmes financeiramente bem sucedidos, incluindo musicais, comédias e dramas. Day desempenhou o papel principal em Ardida como pimenta (1953) e estrelou O Homem Que Sabia Demais (1956) de Alfred Hitchcock com James Stewart. Seus filmes mais conhecidos são as comédias Confidências à Meia-Noite (1959) e Eu, Ela e a Outra (1963), respectivamente. I cannot even begin to describe the immense sorrow I feel over the passing of Doris Day I still cant fully comprehend that shes gone Ive always loved this song and usually sing it whenever Im worried about something I never thought that it would be so comforting when she passed away I dont even know how to express how grieved her fans are at her passing It has been so beautiful seeing all of the outpouring of love from everyone in this time of grief It scares me thinking about losing all of our old Hollywood actorsactresses I found out she had passed whens teacher of mine that also loves her saw on her phone and she told me in class I sat there the whole class period just trying to grasp the concept because it doesnt even seem real I always wanted so desperately to meet her one day She was someone I looked up to very highly and so many others look up to her that way too Everyone loved Doris I pray that one day I can name a daughter of mine Doris she is just such an inspiration I will be creating a tribute video to her and hopefully at least post it by Saturday or Sunday because Im super busy this week #dorisday #dorisdayanimalfoundation #dorisdayfan #dorisdaymovies #ilovedorisday #dorisdayforevermissed #classicsfan Visit more: http://bit.ly/2HlIulE
