~ I n t r o d u c t i o n ~
Hi! I’m Jamie Rainsong, and I’m an Irish/Jorveigan eventer currently residing in the Harvest Counties. Until I get my own stables (soon, hopefully), I’m living at Sunfield Farm with my parents.
~ Pinkman , ‘Jesse’ ~
Tumblr media
Jesse is an 8 year old, 16.4hh Selle Français with some Thoroughbred bloodlines. He was bred by Baroness Silverglade to two Grand National horses, was bought by a stables in Jorvik City, and the Grand National was what his first owners had in mind for him. He never made it to the racetrack, because his owners went bankrupt. He was sent to an auction, and that’s where my parents bought him for me. He was my first horse of my own, and despite him being a handful sometimes - he’s also very sensitive - he’s a total gem of a horse who will jump his heart out. Right now, he specialises in showjumping and cross country, but I’m going to try and get him into endurance riding when he builds up enough muscle and skill.
~ Deer Hunter , ‘Mike’ ~
Tumblr media
Mike is a 15 y/o, 17.3hh Dutch Warmblood x Irish Sport Horse. He was born in Ireland, where my dad is from, and he was trained very well in showjumping and dressage. My dad bought him when Mike was two, when we were visiting Ireland and saw Mike at an auction. We knew we had to have him, despite having no intention of buying a horse at all. It was the best decision my dad has ever made. He’s such a sweet old guy, and still competes with no sign of slowing down. He’s been there, done that, having competed in the RDS and the Governer’s Fall Arena.
~ Long Hard Times To Come , ‘Raylan’ ~
Tumblr media
Raylan is a 7 y/o, 15.3hh Mustang gelding. Very little is known about him, but I know that he was most likely born in Wyoming over in America, on government-owned land, before being brought to Jorvik. I’m pretty sure he was once part of the Mustang Makeover, as he has good ground manners and knows basic things. But other than that, I know nothing beyond the fact that he was neglected and abused before I adopted him from the South Hoof Rescue. He’s an amazing horse, just very green and a little clueless. But I love him all the same. Plus, he’s very brave for such a green horse. He’s starting his competition career, slowly but surely, and I can’t wait to see how he does.

Nayel Nassar &amp, Ivory TCS Team Up to Win the$ 32, 000 Dodd Technologies CSI 5*
Tumblr media
Wellington, Florida, USA – March 15, 2024 – Continuing and banner day for Evergate Stables on Friday, Nayel Nassar ( EGY ) piloted the newly- acquired 11- year- old Dutch Warmblood mare, Ivory TCS&nbsp, ( Falaise de Muze x Ukato ), to the pinnacle position in the$ 32, 000 Dodd Technologies 1. 50m. The 52 combinations came from a truly international field with around 14 nations represented in the field, as is frequently the case in the final few weeks of WEF competition. &nbsp,
Before Nassar laid down the gauntlet as only the eighth competitor in the order, Oscar Soberon ( USA ) designed the single-round speed with minimal lead changes. The rest of the industry made quick work of overthrowing his successful time of 63. 74 seconds, but nσne of them could close the gap.
The horse, which was formerly a aƫtach of Ireland’s Daniel Coyle, is a winner for her entire career, accordiȵg to Nassar. Irrespective of who is watching her, she is proving to be a success. She’s so quickly and she’s a little small strided, but all those ranges I never have to take and can only keep coming. She also has speedy reflexes, so I believe it’s a mix of all of those.
He continued,” I felt like I could maintain galloping the entire way around, and she seems to like it. ” She becomes more sharpened as you go further, and now was undoubtedly her day.
The win was part of an entire productive time for team Evergate, having earlier won the$ 25, 000 Lövsta Future Challenge 7- year- old Developing Jumper Final. &nbsp,
” I think we have a great group of people and animals, and we manage the horsȩs ωell throughout the time,” Nassar described”. I had a gradual ramp up because I was furthermore hurt at the beginning of the year, which has paid off in the recent months as the period nears its conclusion. The riders are clean, and the horses are still feelinǥ fresh. Everyone has been so on place this year, and it’s starting to show in the results. ” It definitely takes a community.
The closest contender to Nassar was Michael Duffy ( IRL), who piloted Intense Marsh Farm LLC’s 10- yr- old Scandinavian Warmblood horse, RMF Cinnamo ( Magic Park x Avon, into second place just a minute behind in 64. 75 hours.
Germany’s Richard Vogel ( GER ) made it a truly international victory gallop as he rounded out the top three with Caroline Mawhinney’s 12- year- oldDutch Warmblood gelding, Hollywood V ( MyLord Carthago*hn x Casall ). &nbsp,
Final Results –$ 32, 000 Dodd Technologies – 1. 50m
1 ) Nayel Nassar ( EGY ) &amp, Ivory TCS – 0 – 63. 74
2 ) Michael Duffy ( IRL ) &amp, RMF Cinnamo – 0 – 64. 75
3 ) Richard Vogel ( GER ) &amp, Hollywood V – 0 – 65. 35

Daniel Coyle & Lena VDL Victorious in the $32,000 Wheels Up Qualifier CSI 2*
Ocala, Florida, USA – March 08, 2024 – Two-star competition took over the WEC Grand Arena on Friday night for the $32,000 Wheels Up Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 2*. Thirty-eight competitors representing nine different nations tackled the intricate tracks designed by Gregory Bodo (FRA) and Pieter Viste (BEL), but it was the trailblazing performance of pathfinder Daniel Coyle (IRL) and Ariel Grange’s young and talented Lena VDL that stole the spotlight.
Fifteen horse-and-rider combinations managed to find their way to a clear first round, and eight yielded a double clear effort.
Daniel Coyle (IRL) led the way aboard his brand-new partner Lena VDL. Just two weeks ago, Coyle earned second place aboard the promising eight-year-old Royal Dutch Sport Horse – Dutch Warmblood (KWPN) mare in the $50,000 Golden Ocala National Grand Prix. Tonight, he hoped to continue that success.
“Last week, I said to Ariel [Grange], maybe ‘Lena’ should do the two-star next week, and she agreed. We don’t really know the horse too well, she’s only shown with us for three weeks. The first week, she had a fence down in the 1.30m, then she was second in the 1.50m. So, we jumped her around 1.40m to school, and planned to see how tonight would go, but after this, I think we are all so happy we have her.”
Daniel Coyle (IRL) & Lena VDL
Coming back first for the jump-off, Coyle and Lena VDL were ready to give it their all, “One to two there was no real distance because it was so far away. From two to three it was seven or eight. I had talked about seven, but again, I still don’t know her too well, so we did eight. But there was this really tight inside turn, and I wasn’t even sure I was going to do it. Bretton Chad and Charlie Jones asked me in the schooling ring, and honestly, I didn’t know. So, I checked it out and decided to go for it. Then she was quick in seven up to the combination and fast to the last two.”
Clocking in an uncatchable 36.33 seconds, Coyle and Lena VDL set an uncatchable pace for the remaining field and ultimately galloped away with the winning title.
Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) & Chili
Second place finisher, Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) jokingly said to Coyle, “You should have gotten a speeding ticket for that round.” But Pessoa wasn’t too far behind Coyle. Riding Artemis Equestrian Farm LLC’s Chili (Consolidator x Berlin), Pessoa found a lightning-fast track just three tenths of a second short in 36.72 seconds.
Speaking about the promising young mare, Coyle shared, “We purchased her from VDL. Ariel and I went out to try her quite a few times, but we weren’t sure if we were going to get her or not. We are happy we did because she’s a whole lot better than we thought,” he added. “She’s a real firecracker. She has her own opinion about every single thing, but I think that’s why she’s so good in the ring. I am so delighted Ariel bought her for me. I think the mare has a really promising future ahead, and we are grateful to Janko [van de Lageweg] for finding us another amazing horse.”
Charlie Jones (GBR) & Macho-Blue PS
Charlie Jones (GBR) secured third place aboard Macho-Blue PS (Messenger x Chacco-blue), owned by Katie Harris. Racing through the jump-off track, Jones and his mount, affectionately nicknamed ‘Mighty Macho,’ galloped to each fence, crossing the timers in 37.95 seconds to complete the podium.

So yesterday, i had a riding lesson. My horses are at home, so I ride my instructor's horses. I rode a 20ish year old Dutch Warmblood gelding running dressage tests. His name is Quest and he is a dressage king.
I was so scared to canter him and I have no idea why. I hate cantering in general, so maybe that is part of it. I also am very self-conscious about my position in the saddle and gets paranoid if I bounce even just a little bit (I don't though, I just think I do)
So after my disastrous canter on her saint for a horse, my instructor talked to me. Now before I contiue, riding your instructor's personal show horse is an honor. It's like being trusted with the child of the president. Anyways, she told me we are going to do a private lesson together on Carera, her show mare, to kick my hesitation of cantering. I am awesome at cantering, just hate it and it is crucial as an equestrian to enjoy it.
I don't know if I should look forward to this or not.
Like I am not whatsoever scared of falling off. I have had my horse rear a complete circle in the air and have sat it. I have trotted that same horse and sat over twenty bucks from him in one lesson. He has rodeo bucked me (I fell off and landed on my knee) and bucked me off at a gallop.
So yeah, I have no idea what to think of next Wednesday and is probably gonna be paranoid about it all week.
