So I've looked around the dutp reddit and found an interesting headcanon/theory; Jesse is also a traveler, just like Emma/Mc.

This headcanon/theory is used to explain in-universe* why we keep seeing Jesse look-alikes with minor changes. (I have a similar hc that when travelers go in stories, their appearances stay the same, but some stuff like haircolor/length and eyes change (see barbie and the red shoe))

Basically, he enters the same books, but as different characters and his death in SoL is his traveler getting a bad ending.

*we know that the real reason is because they just reuse the 2d art a lot

i have brainstormed about my traveler and decided to go with my own version of Emma Wile... but i was also playing twisted wonderland and it got mixed up in my head, so my twst mc is Phil, Emma’s brother bc they are both my isekai ocs.

So I wrote a new fic! It's the fall (2006) meet time princess, with Emma and Alison as the main characters. It's only the first chapter, but it's going to be quite short.

Emma lives a solitary childhood in an immense house owned by a family friend, Silas, who is her only friend. On an afternoon, she asks her bedridden distant mother to tell her a story of beautiful princes, magic and treasures. She tells her the story of Prince Ghiyath and his friendship with Arslan, a young magician. Between storytelling, Emma befriends the neighbor’s child, William, with whom she reenacts the story. But quickly, her mother’s issues bleed into the story and Emma struggles to cope with her fragile surroundings.

Inkheart AU? Idk it just fit, the whole going into books y’know... It would be funny to have all of Alison Book Bfs just showing up and being very confused that she is much older and has a child. It’s mostly based on the 2008 movie bc I’m not very far in the book so yeah.

Isabelle and Light are the Dustfinger of the group, Grandpa is aunt Elinor, etc...

i know!!! i think this au is just me begging for lore about Emma and her mother because apparently, Alison used to go in the books?? And the grandfather talked about a girl who went into the books in the prologue. I've been thinking it might be a family thing?

Anyway that makes me remind myself that i should rewatch the movie lol
