Twilight Fancasts of Main Cast + Opinions
This is mostly based on my last Twilight fancast post I made, which was just Bella, Edward and Jacob. I've decided to think of more actors to add in the mix, might have to make separate posts for all the characters, though.
Bailey Bass as Bella Swan
Tumblr media
Jun Shison as Edward Cullen
Tumblr media
1. If bro can play a kitsune in a human's body I'm pretty sure he can pull off Edward. We just need to know if Jun Shison speaks English.
2. Also, Edward needs to be an evil dick just because of vampire reasons. He needs to be mysterious and in a good way, not the way the movies portrayed him awkwardly.
Dakota Beavers as Jacob Black
Tumblr media
Don't make him cut his hair, and he needs to be Native American.
Also, get rid of the whole imprinting thing if they're just going to make it gross.
Julia Rehwald as Alice Cullen
Tumblr media
I read short hair and small frame, and I thought of her.
Evan Rachel Wood as Rosalie Hale
Tumblr media
I found out she was around 16 when playing Tracy from Thirteen, which might make this fancast iffy since I'm using her teenage self for the gif, considering the other actors I fancasted are 18+. But I remember watching the film and thinking that she looked like she would make a great Rosalie, which is ironic since Nikki Reed also starred in Thirteen. I know she's quite old, but I think we should find a look-a-like that looks like her younger self.
Tanner Buchanan as Jasper Hale
Tumblr media
1. I was trying to find handsome but creepy blond actors. Wasn't really able to find any, so bare with this. I think Tanner could manage being mysterious and creepy.
Chosen Jacobs as Emmett Cullen
Tumblr media
1. I remember reading some human version fanfics of the main characters, and in some of them Emmett would be Bella's older - and sometimes twin - brother. With that in mind, if Bella's black/mixed, then Emmett is too because why not?
Antony Star as Carlisle Cullen
Tumblr media
1. I think Carlisle's human body should be older, and thus also be played by an older actor. I know Antony Star doesn't have those same vibes that Carlisle does, but he does give off a stern exterior when playing Homelander in some scenes, and I wanna see that is Carlisle.
Emmy Rossum as Esme Cullen
Tumblr media
1. I don't know what to think of Esme other than the fact that I know that she's taller than Bella and randomly gave some info that she lost her baby very soon. I figured she was older when she was turned, just like I envisioned for Carlisle, but somewhat looks very young (I mean, a person is still young even if they're in their thirties).
Wood Harris as Charlie Swan
Tumblr media
1. I'm looking for old head vibes. Man from the old hip hop vibes. "Guy that listens to Tupac regularly" vibes.
2. Also, let Charlie be a temporary supernatural hunter that protects Forks.
Zahn McClarnon as Billy Black
Tumblr media
Chace Crawford as James
Tumblr media
James is described to be very plain looking, despite the fact that he had the vampirism that was supposed to make him look more appealing, so I was thinking about The Deep whilst reading the book.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Laurent
Tumblr media
I think Edi Gathegi really stood out as Laurent, more dark skinned villains please.
2. Since Laurent is hinted to come from thanks to his accent I decided to pick an actor that is from New Orleans. I don't know why, I just decided to. Maybe I memorised some kind of misinformation about there being French speakers, I don't know.
3. If they really do make a Twilight remake and they toss Laurent to the side I'm actually gonna be so mad, because Laurent's appearance was promising, and then they chose James' boring arse.
Sophie Skelton as Victoria
Tumblr media
I loved Rachelle Lefevre's performance as Victoria, so I want that same vibe of "seemingly innocent but clearly has a hidden agenda/motive". I know it's been a while since she's been in any films (from what I know), but I think she can pull it off. Since Laurent is hinted to be French I think it would be great that they let her be British when playing Victoria. (There's no they, but play along.)

Red Skelton's most famous character, Freddie the Freeloader, is a happy hobo clown. Unlike Emmett Kelly's Weary Willy tramp clown, Freddie the Freeloader had a perpetually upbeat personality.

Huey said it best "every nigga locked up is not Nelson Mandela". The same foolishness that certain black characters showed in that episode is the same lack of awareness and cognitive disaonce I see now and have seen the last 2 years. Got bitches on Twitter comparing tory lanz to the late Emmett till like wtf.
Tumblr media
Like I need the black community to have more discernment for the black men thy want to be this embarrassing for. R Kelly, Chris brown, Bill Cosby, Diddy, mf 50 cent, boosie, Trey songz, akon, all these niggas. When someone defends abuse or DV I promise the Skeltons in their own closet are just as bad. If you notice, most of these yuck mouths run to defend each other every time a sexual assault allegations, being a shityy parent or partner or DV OR just violence in itself. And then Gere comes the rest of the podcast niggas and drama channels with misleading information and obvious mysgnoir. It's pathetic.

The ceremony that honored Henry Fonda was the first and only one not to have a host / presenter.

Henry Fonda: “I dated Lucy once. I guess you could say I didn't really plight my troth. I cry myself asleep a lot because if I had plighted by troth properly, they might've changed the name of that studio to Henrylu.”

Leslie Uggams and the group Sha-Na-Na perform musical numbers and Albert Brooks does a routine about holding auditions to find a new national anthem.
TRIVIA
Tumblr media
Although video of this special is scarce, photographs show Lucille Ball interacting with host John Wayne and performing a fast-paced dance number. There are no photos or other records of Henry Fonda's role in the celebration.
John Wayne also hosted a similar patriotic variety show, “Swing Out, Sweet Land,” in 1971. Lucille Ball did a serious monologue as the internal voice of the Statue of Liberty. Bob Hope and Leslie Uggams were also involved in both shows. Mark Twain was a character in both.
Tumblr media
This special was ostensibly to mark the General Electric Corporation's (GE) 100th Anniversary, which came as a surprise to many as it had just celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 1970!  Although the company was formed in 1895 by the merger of several smaller companies, GE eventually decided that its Anniversary should be marked by the day Thomas Edison himself formed the company in 1878. This change was primarily for advertising purposes – and this special was one of those marketing strategies.
From 1953 to 1962, GE sponsored the anthology series “General Electric Theatre” which, like “I Love Lucy,” was aired on CBS. It was hosted by future US President Ronald Reagan. Henry Fonda played clown Emmett Kelly in “The Clown” aired on March 27, 1955.
In 1952, Lucille Ball was featured in a print ad campaign to promote GE Ultra-Vision television sets.
Tumblr media
“America Alive!” (November 9, 1978)
“America Alive!” was a short-lived hour-long NBC daytime show which featured consumer tips, relationship advice, entertainment news and reviews, and comedy, from its home studio in New York City as well as remotes from Los Angeles.
Cast: Jack Linkletter (Host), Lucille Ball and Gary Morton (Co-Hosts), Henry Fonda (Guest)
TRIVIA
Tumblr media
While Lucy and Gary were in a California studio, Lucy was supposed to interview Henry Fonda, who was in their studio in New York. The following day, host Jack Linkletter infers that it wasn't strictly an interview. Linkletter doesn't specify what happened and there are no video records of the interview.
The following day, Lucy spent the entire hour taking questions from an audience of students at UCLA.
“The 36th Annual Golden Globe Awards” (January 27, 1979)
Tumblr media
Lucille Ball was the recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award. Henry Fonda was in attendance to support his daughter, Jane Fonda, who won for Coming Home and received the Henrietta Award for World Film Favorite. Fonda was also a presenter.
SPEAKING OF HENRY....
Tumblr media
In 1971's “Lucy & Carol Burnett: The Hollywood Unemployment Follies” (HL S3;E22) the ensemble sings “Hooray for Hollywood” with specially-written lyrics that mention Henry Fonda and his children Jane and Peter.
Tumblr media
In 1973's “Lucy and Joan Rivers Do Jury Duty” (HL S6;E9), Lucy and Joan are on a deadlocked jury they compare to the film Twelve Angry Men (1957) starring Henry Fonda as the holdout juror.
Tumblr media
“Lucy Moves to NBC” (February 8, 1980) kicks off with a tour bus driving through Beverly Hills and the tour guide's voice announcing the homes they are driving past, including the Henry Fonda’s. When the bus reaches Lucille Ball's Roxbury Drive mansion, Lucy gets out of the bus – having hitched a ride from after her downtown shopping trip. In real life, the Arnaz family actually did live in the same neighborhood as Henry and Shirlee Fonda as well as James and Gloria Stewart and Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone.
Henry Fonda died in 1982.
Shirlee Fonda: "She [Lucy] was always calling or coming over to see him when he was ill. And after he died, she was one of the ones who always included me in social gathering. When I gave that first party after Henry's death, I said, 'Lucy, you have to be there and help me get though this.' And she was there for me, for 100%"
Lucille Ball died in 1989.

Dear Osama,
Tumblr media
I don’t know any of them personally, but I’ve studied up on a few of them, like Emmett Kelly and Red Skelton.  The clown arts are more involved than a lot of people think.
Tumblr media
No two clowns are the same, for one thing.  I like to put my own twisty, twist, twist on my act!

Clowns (MM #2629) Are clowns starting to disappear? To clarify I'm talking about real clowns, the ones with makeup and a red nose. Clowns were everywhere when I was young, but they're very hard to find today...

This is my latest clown picture, inspired by my newest fascination with Puddles’ Pity Party on YouTube.  Like all my clown pictures, I am fairly sure that my number one son will tell me it’s a creepy clown.  He has never liked clowns.  When he was still small we took him to the pre-show at Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus which at that time was Meet the Clowns.  We met the men… and women… and dwarves… in the face paint with the loud personalities and huge red smiles.   I was charmed, as always, but number one son spent most of the time behind my pantleg, peering around for sneak peaks at the clowns.  He was actually shivering most of the time.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
But me, I love clowns.   Always have.  Especially the sad clowns.  The hobo clowns.  Red Skelton playing Freddy the Freeloader, Charlie Chaplin as the Little Tramp, Marcel Marceau, the peerless mime, and Emmett Kelly Jr. as Weary Willie.  There is something deeply poetic and resonant about a clown who makes you laugh by his outward actions but manifests deep feelings and an underlying sadness on the inside.  It is a metaphor for the whole of life in the human world.
Puddles walked on to the stage of America’s Got Talent and engaged everyone first with his silent-clown mime routine, and then grabbed everyone right by the heart by singing a song about drinking and swinging on the chandelier with such emotion and operatic power that, by the end of the song everyone was standing, everyone loved him.  Singing clowns with a sad song help us keep our own little boats afloat on a vast and stormy ocean of life.  The song buoys us up and makes it bearable to tread water a little longer.  I am at a time and place in my life where I really need that.
I love clowns.  Especially sad clowns.  Particularly when they sing.
I dare you to watch these videos and not fall in love with Puddles.  That’s the point of sad clowns.  They make you laugh at the sad and serious things that tear people apart.  And by doing that, they put Scotch Tape on the tears and put you back together.
For the Love of Sad Clowns This is my latest clown picture, inspired by my newest fascination with Puddles' Pity Party on YouTube.

"Beauty, Brains, and Personality" U.S. Trailer

Director Biography - Emmett Loverde Emmett Loverde is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in Berkeley and Albany, California and received a degree in Theater from UCLA. He has written extensively for stage, screen, television, and radio. Over 200 separate productions of his stage plays have been mounted worldwide to date. Films written, produced, and directed by Mr. Loverde include the features "Beauty, Brains, and Personality" and "She's Out of His Mind;" the comedy shorts "Good Business Sense," "Jesus Awakens the Little Girl," "A Timely Maneuver," "Snacking," "The Truth About Me," and "Cranky Call;" the web series "Free Advice" (co-written with his brother Paul Loverde); and several music videos. His work has appeared in various film festivals including The Myrtle Beach Film Festival, The Poppy Jasper Film Festival, The Vignette Film Festival, The Burbank International Children’s Film Festival, The Faith Film Festival, The Bayou City Inspirational Film Festival, and the Bare Bones International Film Festival. In addition to the scripts for the above films Mr. Loverde’s screenplays include the historical saga "C.C. Julian" and the comedy "Love at Second Bite" for actor George Hamilton; a feature-length version of his film festival satire short "Snacking" (based on Mr. Loverde’s own zany experiences); the action thriller "CODEC;" the romantic comedy "Mergers and Acquisitions;" and the romantic drama "Desire Sleeps." Mr. Loverde’s radio adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ "The Moon Maid" -- for which he received a commission from The Hollywood Theatre of the Ear -- was broadcast twice on National Public Radio. His comedy radio play "The Killist" was produced by The One Act Players of San Francisco. His stage comedies include "A Timely Maneuver;" "Beauty, Brains, and Personality;" "Good Business Sense;" "Jesus Awakens the Little Girl;" "The Maginot Line;" "Peace and Quiet;" "Play How You Play;" "Love Fax;" "Sensitivity, USA;" "Till You Get To Baraboo;" "Santa’s Letters;" "So Much Snow;" and "Uneasy Overture." His stage dramas include "Spotlight." Thirteen of Mr. Loverde’s stage titles are currently in publication by Heuer Publishing and Playscripts, Inc. Several of his stage plays and his book of short stories "Gifts for Good Friends" are available through Amazon. And his children's picture book "Clawdette the Cat" is published by Adamo Press. Mr. Loverde is one of the producers of the forthcoming children's film "The Adventures of Dally and Spanky," which is distributed through Sony Pictures Entertainment. Mr. Loverde is an accomplished painter and photographer. He works in both traditional (paint and canvas) and electronic media. IMDB link: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2179007/ Director StatementUpon seeing "Beauty, Brains, and Personality" I want audiences to laugh their hearts out! I also want them to have a sense of healing, because it is the story of the break-up and renewal of a deep friendship. I adore love stories but I also love stories of friendships. I even love watching those videos where, for example, a cat and an owl happen to be best pals. I even associate produced a film earlier this year about a dog and a horse who have an unlikely friendship called "The Adventures of Dally and Spanky." Friendship is lovely and mysterious -- in many ways even more mysterious than love, since it doesn't necessarily result in babies but it can still last an entire life. I realize that some men may be a bit mystified by "BB&P," but hopefully it will help them to understand their girlfriends, wives, daughters, or even mothers a bit better. I believe that creating this film (and script) has made me a better, more understanding person. Starring Tiana Tuttle, Alexis Phillips, Samantha Skelton. Ron Howard has worked on some of our favorite film and television series.
That’s quite the list of successful productions, don’t you think? Lucasfilm made the perfect decision to hire Ron Howard to direct the Han Solo film. They said:
“At Lucasfilm, we believe the highest goal of each film is to delight, carrying forward the spirit of the saga that George Lucas began forty years ago,” Kathleen Kennedy stated. “With that in mind, we are thrilled to announce that Ron Howard will step in to direct the untitled Han Solo film. We have a wonderful script, an incredible cast and crew and the absolute commitment to make a great movie. Filming will resume the 10th of July.”
[ Did Harry Styles Audition to be in the New Star Wars Film? ]
Ron Howard is excited to be taking part I the film and feels that the gig was “a little opportunity that came my way.” He said:
“I’ve been around the Star Wars universe from the beginning,” he said (via Deadline). “When I was being directed by George Lucas on American Graffiti in 1972, we were standing out in front of Mel’s Drive-In in San Francisco where we were shooting and I said, ‘Do you know what you think your next film might be?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, I want to do a science fiction movie, but a really fun one like Flash Gordon with the effects of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001.’ I thought, ‘That sounds like a kind of crazy idea.’”
