I think about a silly Host Club au for the Vat7k gang every now and then and I truly believe Hugo as Haruhi is his worst nightmare.

He'd be surrounded by rich idiots 24/7 who never even tried to do laundry once their whole life. And he can't even steal from them or he'd be kicked out of that prestigious school he worked so hard to be accepted in, and what do you mean he already has a debt that's 50 times the value of his appartment now-? what do you mean he'll have to spend even more time with rich idiots to pay it back??? AS A HOST????? You want his gay ass to seduce girls??????

Also they're in highschool so they're all 16. Worst year of his life.

Wait. Hold on. I have to share with you that dream I had tonight because.. because you'll see.

So.

I dreamt someone commissioned an animator to animate a whole trailer/pilote for their fanfic, and instead of making stuff up, my brain just recycled animation it had seen before so it looked like a mashup and caracters looked out of place and their animation style were different and all 😭 but it was overall pretty cool! And impressive!

And the main character was Varian but the anime boy version(????) And I thought it was about him and the person who commissioned's OC. But no. Their OC was dead on the floor in one shot??? And the second lead was some random character that looked like Nana.. from the manga Nana..??????

And even in my dream I was SO CONFUSED

But the concept of the fic seemed fun and the dedication was visible so I kept watching

And then. And then there was a timelapse. And.- I am still not over it. But the Nana doppelganger. Was in fact HUGO but like???? Pre-transition I guess???????? There was a one minute bust shot of him, going from frail feminine face with longish straight black hair, to a more masculine face with a (little) better body build and you saw he cut his hair shorter and then bleached it and then cut it again throughout the year and the black color was slowly coming back but now he genuinely looked like anime boy Hugo. AND I FUCKING LOST IT IN MY DREAM. I GENUINELY SCREAMED AND I FELT LIKE THAT WAS THE MOST SHOCKING REVEAL I'VE SEEN IN YEARS.

I need people to know that I have multiple gender and sexuality headcanons for EACH and EVERY characters. If I say this character is a gay man and the next day I'm talking about how she's the most asexual woman ever, I am not confused. Those two instances are very true. They just exist in different timelines of my mind.

Thinking of a very random dragqueen varigo au

I have no fancy plot except Hugo doing drag for money (and fun) meanwhile Varian is simply going to the queerbar out of curiosity and he falls head over heels for that one drag queen, he has NO IDEA it's Hugo.

How do they know each other outside of that bar ? I have no clue. Maybe they go to the same university, maybe they're roomates, maybe they're coworkers or something. Either way they supposedly 'hate' eachothers, when really they barely know the other.

I suppose at some point Varian manages to make a move on the drag queen he admires so much, and they get to talk more in that bar. Back to everyday life and Hugo tries SO HARD to act normal. Time passes and Varian keeps on visiting the bar and they get closer and oh no Hugo is actually smitten by Varian at this point-

Cue to Hugo flirting with Varian during the day and the boy is SO confused and thinks it's a ploy to bother or mock him or something.

Anyway. They are stupid and it takes Varian forever to notice Hugo and the Drag Queen is the same person. And I just really want to draw Drag queen Hugo right now.
